I just bought these (7/2023) for my CRF250L.
Having a load of fun mounting them, as there is near infinite possibilities to secure to the frame or the rack I previously mounted. It's a great "brain teaser" of a challenge, and I enjoy using my creativity to figure it out.
As far as the quality goes, they appear to be well made from durable material.
EDIT: Dec '23; the bags have been mounted since July. I went on a three day camping trip over Labor Day Weekend. They carried my gear and were used for "packy runs" etc. Over the past few months, I've fallen several times at low speed, and took a "flying W" at a good clip, landing off the trail, with no damage to the bags. Been in light rain, but no torrential downpours, not a drop of water intruded. I like these.
Recently added a Tourtech XL 89 liter top bag & a tail rack from ebay.
All I need is a paper map & a zumo for backup, & I'm heading out on the BDR & TAT.
I can't figure out how to use the straps that came with it.
@@marcotenthousand they are different!
First I wrapped the long "free" strap around my rack tubing, & ran the free end through the sewn loop on the opposite end & pulled it tight.
(It took me a couple of hours and many tries to get the length to work out well, then a week of riding & playing with the initial mounting point and feeding it thru different places on the rack to really get it how I wanted it)
Then I threw the bags over the seat.
Then I took the black plastic thing that looks like a buckle (at the end of the strap that I mounted to the rack at the start) and, at an angle, pushed it thru the plastic "D" ring which is sewn on the side of the bag. It can't back itself out when it flattens out.
Then I cinched up the free end of that strap & fed the loose end thru the elastic tube thing to prevent it from getting caught in the wheel.
Hope this helps, good luck & keep the rubber side down!
@@savage22bolt32 thank you! It took me a minute to figure out the whole buckle through the D ring thing. Then many minutes to try different configurations. Interesting design though and I think it's on there and it's not going anywhere!
@@marcotenthousand Always take a look at the straps before you ride, and make sure no tails are hanging!
I use Rok Straps to hold my top bag on. One day l removed the bag & forgot to cinch up the straps. One of them worked it's way into the chain and it got shredded.
BTW, if you ever get a top bag that goes over the rear fender/seat, I recommend the Rok Straps. They are partially elastic and that helps prevents them from loosening while riding.
Best to you!
I've had these bags for about a year+ now, and they're not big bags. But i carry essentials like a gallon of gas, half gallon of water thermo, my mini air compressor, fix-a-flat plug kit, extra Gore-tex lined gloves for wet or slightly colder riding, balaclava, and I can still fit a sweater rolled up in one of the bags. I ended up getting the one that goes on the sissy bar backrest which can also be carried as a backpack, and also waterproof and that's what I take if i need to carry more for a longer ride.
This really looks like the perfect system. Lightweight, rugged, versatile, and waterproof.
I’m a get some.
Looks like a pretty good value.
Big enough for a full helmet?
Can you put ice in there?
Has these been upgraded at all or is it the same bag ?
this is way better than those overpriced mosko bags
Been using the roll top bags for 5 months July thru Dec 2023 on my CRF250L. I give them high marks, would recommend for camping & small grocery/beer runs!
According to the measurements on cycle gear website these bags are only 18.3 liters. You won’t get “extra” room by not rolling it all the way down . You will have to over stuff it to get the full 20 liters. I really think they are nice bags but those measurements are kind of deceptive.
Yeah they're not very big bags at all.
I'm just wondering why the name of the brand is Sixteen...
Lol is that what sedici means?
@@badginger
Yes, sedici means 16 in Italian.
@@badginger
There is a 90's Italian car named Fiat Tipo, and the sport version is called "Sedicivalvole", which means sixteen valves.
@@badginger Yes in Italian
Because 'sedici' sounds cool to native English speakers
Fit mt09?

Just bought a pair - July 2023.
Same exact price as they were in March 2022, $149.99, when I snapped a pic of them at my local CG store.
