Very helpful. I had to disconnect the water to be able to pull out the dishwasher as Steve mentions. Not very complicated. I also had to remove a decorative filler side panel that was installed between my dishwasher and cabinet. But as I said, great video on how to do this yourself! Thanks
Informative video! I took mine apart but it was a little different that what was demonstrated on (door hinge was direct hook from spring and retainer / no cord). Also the bottom seal was part of the inner door panel and not removable. I had ordered the door seal AND the un-needed bottom seal, so installed only the long door seal, which fixed the leak. One issue I ran into was the door latching after the new seal was in place...I sure thought it was not closing far enough, but it actually was and the door close switch enabled it to operate fine. Leak fixed and was a fairly simple repair.
In case this does not fix your DW door leak... Our DW was leaking out the door only during certain cycles. It was leaking A LOT. Our repairman replaced the bottom door seal like this video shows, but that did not fix it. After contacting Whirlpool Tech Help and going through a checklist, he had to get a clear door to put on it to diagnose the problem. It turns out that the bottom spray arm was getting caught on the bottom rack during certain cycles when the spray was higher pressured. It was shooting the spray up and along the side of the door and blowing out the side seals. He replaced the bottom spray arm and that has fixed the problem.
What a find. Just replaced the main gasket on mine and no luck. Still leaking in the corners. I am going to try and replace the bottom seal myself and see if that does it. I'm not very optimistic though.
Holy moly -- thank you so much for posting this. I'm also seeing it only during some parts of the cycle and ordered a door seal, but I'll try to put a GoPro in the dishwasher to see if I can catch this as well!
I think I am having the exact same issue you all described above. I was getting ready to go buy a whole new dishwasher. I am going to explore this and will share my outcome.
great video on installation but i cant find any info on checking the bottom seal other than looking at it for damage iv replaced the door seal but stll hav leaking from bottom of door....help!!
This is a FANTASTIC guide -- comprehensive and really appreciate the fitment commentary to ensure the seal is properly gripped.

@@sethmeistergee Maybe just run it without the bottom rack and see if the leaking goes away (no such luck for me).
@@LATjr it turned out to be the lower spray arm on my dishwasher. Replacing it fixed the leak!
