My dad was the first to introduce me to your music, throughout my childhood all I heard was dire straights, he used to have all your cds that he would play constantly, if he wasn't listening to your music on cd he'd be playing it on guitar, he even dragged me along to 2 of your concerts😂at the time I was very young and it just wasn't my thing. He passed away 5 years ago when I was 16, since then I love your music its one of the only things I have to remind me off him. I remember my dad used to say you were one of the best guitarist of all time, at the time I ignored him but now I couldn't agree more. You've helped me more than you could ever know and for that I thank you sir
Been listening for over 45 years , Dire Straits was the opening wedge, he matured and stayed relevant, always tells a story, like a master wordsmith, your dad had good taste, and you learned from him. Good on you Son, good on you.

I bought a guitar after my husband passed away and wrote a song...I wish you could play and sing it ...it’s called “ I miss you my friend “ and you of all musicians in the world would be the one I would want to perform it. It’s one of my last dreams I can quietly dream 🛌.

Unfortunately these discs were recorded in the Czech Republic, and the general impression is that those workers are extremely careless, indifferent and disrespectful towards their work, or very poorly qualified. The discs have poor press quality, there are noises that shouldn't be there, and I've found discs with soaked inner paper, and on many discs I've found dirt inside, paper scraps, dust and other messes that come from the place of production. It's a shame, music of such a level, and us Mark fans, deserve/deserved more attention in terms of recording quality.
