Greentown 1950s - 03 Ah Pek's Wooden Bungalow

AH PEK'S WOODEN BUNGALOW
This wooden bungalow is of British colonial design.
The main block was raised about 2 to 3 feet above ground. The front of the main block was a veranda with rollable bamboo cheeks serving as sunshields. The kitchen was away from the main block connected by a corridor which had a roof but no walls.
The jamban (toilet) was away from both the main block and kitchen, tucked away at the rear. A small lane behind the jamban allowed a truck to collect the faeces to be disposed of.
