There are actually a ton of different entrances you can make with redstone that are completely invisible. The only problem with the ims the fact that you need to hide something to activate it somewhere.
All jokes aside, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make a completely secret and unfindable base. That being said, here's the best method: 1. Go completely out of locator map range (MILLIONS of blocks from spawn), use nether roof + elytra to get there. Don't access nether roof if on BEDROCK, as you can't get back down. 2. Make your base completely underground, at bedrock level. No aboveground things except the entrance, which should be hidden with one of the methods shown in the video. 3. Set up an enderpearl stasis chamber set to DAY. This way, you can adventure at night for 20 minutes instead of at day for 10. This will ensure noone follows you to your base. 4. Keep another base somewhere JUST IN CASE this one gets found. Have fun going insane and living in solitude!
I like the one that requires throwing an item on a block with minecart with hopper below it to collect the item. You can even make it so that it opens when a specific block is thrown on that.

U put a pufferfish in a cauldron then a pressure plate ontop so whenever u go near it in like 5 seconds the pufferfish will inflate cuase Ur near it and it will hit the pressure plate with a few redstone it will open the door and once u get in and move like 3 blocks away it will deflated and close it

I would suggest making a door with a bit I red stone and hoppers, it will give you a door that will open when you throw random objects in there, only downside is you have to take the items out.
The best base *ever* is one that’s miles from spawn. In 2b2t, there was a base that was hidden for 8 years because it was millions of blocks from spawn

if u want a secret base, do it underground. If they try to x-ray, cover your base with lava. All they'll see is the lava and not ur base.
Sorry to break it to you but lava won't help. There is this hack called storage esp which shows chests etc through walls

The true best way is to have a simple system with dispensers and lava, easy to make, barely any redstone and looks natural.

I never had a secret entrace in my houses, but rather secret chests around the houses where I would hide important items
