I really appreciate the 12 hour wear test. I typically wear my makeup for 12 hours. Put it on around 7am (before working at 8), come home, make dinner for my family around 6, take my makeup off after dinner when my mom duties are done. Bless the people who have shorter days, but I seriously appreciate the 12 hour test!
I agree! When I was commuting into the office, I would need my foundation to last 12 hours. I'd leave in the morning at 9 am, get off work at 6 pm, and if I went out after work, I could get home at 9 pm or later.
It's so crazy because I've been criticized SEVERAL times for testing a Foundation for 12 hours (and Foundation claims to last over 12 hrs) every time I respond I remind them that WE ARE BUSY WOMEN.. specially those who are busy working. People just don't get it. 😴 They think majority of the world live in a 8 hr world lol. Nothing would EVER get done, hell sometimes i feel like there is not enough time in the day as it is. LOL.
@@TaraLynnbeauty I desperately need long wear tests because as a teacher, I’m putting on my makeup at 5:30am, and it’s on my face until at least 6-8pm. I have combo skin (oily in my t zone) so this is definitely a no for me. The reviews I’ve seen where people like this are folks who only wore it for a little while. It reminds me of the Laura Mercier Lumiere foundation. I love her Airbrush foundation and sheer it out with a sponge if need be. Thanks for saving me $$$$!!!

I put on my make up at 6 am and take it off around 9 pm. So these people that think you can’t expect foundation for 12+ hrs don’t have a full time job and drive home to pick up their kids at daycare, cook dinner, help with homework, put them to bed and then finally, blessedly take a shower and remove my make up. Now my kids are older, adults in college, and I work from home my schedule is different, but even though I didn't have a job, when my kids were grade school age I got up at 6am, Started my day, got kids off to school, helped the hubby with our business, with all my responsibilities the day would fly by before I even could look in the mirror to check my makeup. LOL. By the time your head hits the pillow, it's almost midnight and you are needing to get back up in 6 hours. Lol. I went for years on that schedule. I think people are either clueless or are so privileged they don't understand a 12 hour work day. LOL. I can't decide. But you wouldn't believe how many comments I've received criticizing me for being "unrealistic 12 hour wear test". So I figured in this video I would gently remind them🤣🤣🤣

I've had people say it's "dumb" LOL. I used to work 12 hour shifts as a CNA. I think people forget people work 12 hours or just have crazy busy days🤣 I don't think this is the one for you. Being that your oily. It may be a good mixer, but not alone. Lol. Her undertones are AWFUL. So strong and so different than other brands. I struggled with trying to find my shade in the Flawless but the only shade I didn't try was the 8W. LOL.

I feel like the people that don’t want 12 hr wear tests are people that just wear makeup to go out. The rest of us who wear make up to work appreciate your 12 hour wear tests as I want to look good at 8am when it goes on right through my day till i go out in the evening, with minimal touch ups! Please continue to do 12 hr wear tests, it is really appreciated! ❤️
i definitely appreciate 12hr wear test for foundations ! let’s be real, many viewers watching beauty channels have jobs and any typical working day will have official hours of say 9am-6pm. that’s already 9 hours - in the workplace alone - at least. factor in an hour’s commute both ways and that’s 11 hrs out of the house. factor in the occasional overtime or after work drinks and that adds another hour or 2. foundations that claim 12, 16, 24 hr wear target precisely these people who work outside of their homes where it’s more realistic to assume a wearer to have a very full day from the get go.
YES👏👏👏👏👏 THIS🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 I worked as a CNA for a few years and my days would sometimes be 14- 16 hrs with makeup on. These 8 hour wear tests just don't cut it on those who work outside the home. Couldn't agree more. I've been critiqued so many times over 12 hr wear tests and I think to myself "do you think people really live their lives in a 8 hour window?" You're not living in the real world. I want to live in your world. 😝😝😝😝
I can’t wait for mine to arrive! I love the way it looks on your skin! I personally love to shine, like I want people to see my skin glowing from a mile away. I put a lot of work into my skin in the last year, and I want everyone to see it. This is why I don’t wear any kind of full coverage foundations (plus they also look terrible on me). I love Charlotte’s lighter coverage foundation, but it isn’t enough coverage for my problem area (AKA: my chin). This sounds like the foundation that I have been searching far and wide for. I am so dry that I don’t have any issues with foundation breaking up because of oil. My nose is the only area that has any oil and it takes about 12 hours to even show any breaking up if it even does break apart. I can’t even use setting powder because I am already so dry.
I know if you love a glow this will be right up your alley. You may have to tweak it and less is more with this one. But I think you'll absolutely LOVE IT❤❤❤❤❤

I used a Moda face brush, it resembles those Artist (or however you spell it🤣) brushes. I was a little worried because Mica is really high up the ingredient list, but it looks so good on me. Now I get to see how it actually wears. Time always tells the whole story with a foundation! Thank you for your thorough reviews and long wear tests. I appreciate them because I end up having my makeup on for a minimum of twelve hours on my work days. So far, so good!
Good morning Tara!! Happy Sunday!! I love this foundation because I’m so dry. I picked it up on Thursday when it dropped at Nordstrom’s (and helped GLAMGIRLCHELSEA in store;) I love the way it looks. I use my Bobbi Brown Enriched face base under it. I’ve also used the Milk Hydro Grip under it. I work 12 hr shifts usually. I will say if you use a gripping primer. Press it into the skin with a sponge, set it with setting spray. Conceal and powder. Spray again. Then do your other powder products. It will stay all day. Cream products seem to slide a little more with it. Powder blushes and bronzers work better with it. It’s a beautiful foundation and it does always even with powder come through more dewy. I suggest, I little more of a matte powder to set with. Because later the dew will come through. When applying just use a little and build slowly. Less is a little better with it. If you build to much it can get a little creasy and thick looking. So far, using it the last few days. That’s what I’ve experienced and has worked for me so far☺️hope this helps. I have dry skin as well, and I don't even have to powder it even tho it is glowy, but on me not "sticky" glowy, if you know what I mean.. No trasfer either. I only tried it two times so far, but it looks promising! And yeah, I used the CT magic cream under!
I appreciate when you test foundation for 12 hours. I finish my makeup at 6am. I work from 7am to 5:30pm. So I’m looking for foundations that last at least 12 hours to get me through the day. I love light wonder but it’s tacky and have issues blending my blush and bronzer unless I set cheek and forehead areas with powder. This seems similar in that characteristic. Great honest no BS review! Thank you. And PS: 12 hr checkin is perfect. Like someone said below, we may be working 8 hours but with commute, kid drop offs n pickups, and other chores, I have my make up on for 12 hours most days of the week so it’s very helpful.

I have it on 1/2 my face with freshly moisturized skin and 1/2 that didn’t have moisturizer applied since I got out of shower hours earlier. The moisturizer side definitely is more “glowy.” I’ll have to see how it wears over all. Great review!
Love all your reviews and especially the 12 hour and daylight check-ins! Most of us are going to wear our foundation for 8-12 hours, so seeing how it lasts throughout the day is very helpful. It is unlikely I will pick up as glowy/dewy is not a look I prefer even on my normal skin. I don’t mind my skin glowing but not my foundation. That's how I feel. And as my skin has gotten more glowy. I have to be careful wearing a super glowy foundation because it's WAY too much Glow. And that's how this one was. I am hoping I can tweak it because it has potential. The magic Cream isn't advised, even though she has it pictured and pared with it on her website. Lol. Only recommend that combo for really dry skin😁❤
@@TaraLynnbeauty Yep it is easy to overdo it with the glow. It’s a fine line between dewy and shiny and greasy🤣 The magic cream is lovely but with the hydration and glow of the foundation, probably not a good combination. Hope you’re able to find a combination that gives you the results you like.

I used the Bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base and also her powder over my t-zone and it lasted through my 13 hour shift (with mask 😷 wearing also).

I need my foundation to last well over 12 hours! I work 12 and 1/2 hrs, and usually get ready a couple hours before that so, it needs to stay the best it can especially if they make that claim. I hope this works for me but I’m grateful to see this so I know what to use underneath. Thanks! PS: 9-5 people never think of the longer shifts or night shifts, so they can’t fathom past business hours.
Right👏👏👏 I can't tell you how many comments I've gotten criticizing me for reviewing a foundation for 12 hours and claiming it's "Not realistic ". I kindly remind them that people don't always work 9-5. When I was a CNA, I worked 12hrs + and I had a 2 hour commute on top of that (1 hour each way) now THOSE are some long ass days lol. People just don't get it. 😫 They almost get offended that I didn't like their new favorite Foundation so the nit pick. Sometimes I respond back with "I'm so glad you love the Foundation and I hope the stocks you have In the company pay well for you" they don't respond back but I swear it seems like they own the company they get so offended Lol. 🤪 Anyway. I have aged twice as fast for the time I’ve been in healthcare and it shows! Currently, I have a close to 2 hour commute each way, that’s going to be the end of me lol. I will have to have some overnight hotel stays soon to help with that. So, I definitely need the lasting and even then I know it’ll wear down because of my masks and such, but there are some days I just want to feel normal and that’s how I do it, by putting on makeup that to some may not make sense but to me it’s a piece of normalcy in all the madness. So, kindly tell those folks that I hope they appreciate their 9-5, because I don’t even get that in sleep. Lol, I love your channel because even if I don’t like what you do, or have the same skin tone as you, or whatever differences we have, I still learn that what you apply will serve me in how I apply something I do want or have, that may not have worked before. I make it by de stressing through down to earth people like you, Theresa is dead, Michelle Wong, Jen Luvs, Samantha March, Risa loves makeup, Taylor Wynn, Jessica Braun, Rawbeautykristi, Samantha Ravendahl, and several others, still can’t watch Mel’s just yet again. Everyone I found was because of someone on this list and I have 10-30 minutes of peace watching people do something I admire, and love. And, I am by no means an expert, I just love makeup…too much. Anyway, I thank you for giving that to me, it helps my mental health. It’s pretty bad when it’s not the death and sick that destroys us, but the way people treat you that does. So any break from mistreatment is a win for my health!

You are so extremely thorough, I really appreciate how you do full day wear tests, you show us how it’s looking in different light, you get up and close to your face. I was very excited to try this new foundation but you’re right it did break apart and looked very heavy. Now, I have extremely dry skin so I’m conflicted about it. My foundation goes on at 7 am and I'm out the door by 730. By the time I remove it and start my night routine, it's 10pm, maybe 9pm on a good day. Yes, people do wear foundation for 12+ hours. Of course I don't eclectic it to last, but I do appreciate the 12 hr test. Thank you!

Aww. I bought it and I love it!!! Literally chefs kiss 💋. We usually have the same taste in foundation so keep trying it out maybe the magic cream was too much of a barrier.
Update: mine arrived today. It IS thick in consistency, kind of glue like. I found it a bit different to apply. And it did not like the texture of my skin around my mouth and chin. *looked bad up close However, I was impressed with the slight glow it gave my dry, mature skin. It did not feel hydrating though. Going to give it one more chance tomorrow. If it's a no-go I hope I can send it back. Older comment: Anxiously awaiting my N2 to arrive. Having dry skin I am hopeful this will wear well with minimal product. I have seen where too much product becomes an issue with this one. *this is my first CT foundation If it doesn't work out I hope I can return it for something else. So wonderful to see green/olive hues in this foundation (neutral). I have olive toned light skin and really difficult to find a foundation. This might be worth a try (maybe 5 N for me).
Yes, absolutely. My daughter has a strong olive Undertone and she struggles so much finding a foundation that caters to that. When she was visiting for Christmas, she wanted to try the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation and LOVED the Undertone in 7N. She is now using it as her Foundation when wearing makeup. She loves it. ❤ (But she's 18 lol. That Airbrush is a little too drying for me lol😁)
I think the issue might be the Magic Cream. I used it a few times before putting on foundation and my foundation ended up looking like that into 10 hours. I used Estee Lauder primer the next time and it didn't do that. When u were in the vehicle it looked So pretty!

I have dry skin Excema prone so I’m all sbiuy skin products & SPF. For me my favorite now is IT cosmetics SPF 50 tinted CC cream & I need Dewey for my skin so I’m excited to try this out cause for me anything matte is simply a NO go. Fabulous review Tara, thank you 💕 the check in was so helpful too! I’ve been playing around with this foundation for a few days now and had a similar experience (albeit I have combo skin). I find with a mattifying primer it lasts longer but really emphasises texture and looks heavier. With a more moisturised base it applies and looks much better but then doesn’t wear as well 😬 I want to love it but I can’t right now. I thought it would be more like a tinted moisturiser with amped up coverage to be honest, as opposed to sitting almost like the Airbrush Flawless does (so thick!!) 💕

She's a thick bitch😝 I am glad you shared your experience because that's what I am concerned about with using a Mattifying Primer, I was wondering if it would apply as smooth and evenly. Someone in the comments said they used the Tatcha Silk canvas and it applied and wore beautifully so I'm definitely going to try that. Initially it was beautiful on although it didn’t look bad in the latter portion of the video. I definitely think a hydrating foundation with a rich hydrating moisturizer would only work if you were super dry. I will say before you applied the foundation you were extremely shiny so in all fairness the wear test was already compromised. It’s awesome that your doing this because a lot of people have the same products and would do the same. If you like the glow I would just really set right down the middle of the face with a puff not a brush to really make it last. Like you that’s where most peoples foundation gets a questionable. You may still get shiny but it will definitely delay it further. Great detailed review thank you.
I am surprised to hear people say it's runny. That's not even close to the consistency. Lol. It's definitely thick. I would say a runny Foundation is the Pat McGrath Foundation it will run down your hand this won't move. Doesn't budge with any gravity lol.

You should try a gripping primer and a primer that isn't so hydrating. Try it without the magic cream and see if you like it . I've worn my foundation for 12 hours so I really appreciate your 12 check ins. Someone will always have something to complain about 😁
I got mine yesterday and loved it. But I didn’t use a hydrating primer I used Tatcha Silk primer. Worked great! Oh and I also set it with the Charlotte setting spray!
Good to know. I truly think the Hydrating Primer with this one is a no go for me. Lol. I thought it would be OK because it was a CT product, but ya no. Lol. I'm excited to try it with other products and see how it performs. I also have a natural glow to my skin so using a super glowy product on top of my skin can sometimes be too much. This was a great review!!! I also used a little powder before I put on the rest of my makeup because of the texture. I wore it for about 8 hours and loved how dewy it looked when I got home from work. I used my regular moisturizer which is by glow recipe and then a thin serum primer by neutrogena. Loved your review and thoughts!
I think I pass. I absolutely felt in love the the Lisa Eldridge foundation. It’s my go to. I even like it better than the Tom Ford Shade and illuminate. I just don’t like heavy foundations. I do love the magic cream though. Thank you for the review 😃
This is the exact opposite of the Lisa Eldridge Foundation. It's definitely thicker and a little too heavy. I am hoping to try and find a way to thin it out a little. The LE Foundation is a little drying for me it makes my wrinkles look a little dry, but I LOVE to mix it. I have been mixing it with the Ilia Skin Tint and it's stunning. LE has amazing undertones and I wanted to find a way to make that foundation work. It's beautiful and mixed with a little hydration, it's perfect. I don't think 12 hours is unreasonable, I often have my "face on" for 10 to 12 hours and I don't work (disabled). I've been holding back from buying this one. I really, really appreciate your no bs, total honesty and that you're going to try different moisturisers/primers before making a solid decision. Apart from the confusing shade range (undertones and depth are all over the place), the ridiculous claims given on the packaging is, at best, pure fantasy. Excellent review Tara 👏 Love ya 😘 💗

Hey Tara, I love you and I love the 12 hr wear test, I need my foundation and makeup to last 12 hrs, I have almost an hour commute each way and a 9 hr work day, then if I need to do anything after work I am not going home to touch up first!! Thank you for always being honest with your reviews!!

I don’t understand how anyone could be critical of your reviews?!? You are so thorough and honest……. I have a love/hate relationship with CT. Love her powder and pillow talk lipstick, blush and eyeshadow quad. However, most of her lipsticks and neutral eye shadows pull orange on me. I have not had much luck with her foundation and concealer. Therefore I’ll wait to hear more from you on this. I have really dry skin so the fact that it seems hydrating/dewy is promising. But I am concerned that you feel it is finicky or have to really work with it to make it look skin like. Thanks for your review!!!!!

But 7N in Airbrush Foundation (not a fan) I used to have combo skin its now normal with the odd oil slick patch. I was hoping to purchase but after seeing your review I am not so sure. I do not think I have ever disliked foundation more than this one. It left me with red, scaly skin. For 2 days i had try to do anything under the sun to deal with the rash and any product i used to moisturize was burning. I also had the same experiencr on how it wore on me.. It was a hot mess after 5 hours- patchy, cakey mess.. Hated this on me to the point I could not wait to return it. Great amf thorough review!!

Some people said the Lisa Eldridge was finnicky. This also seems so. It doesn't seem like this will be for me because I'm already oily and powder is a must for me. Look forward to hearing your future thoughts on this one.

It might be an idea to use cream based products with this foundation. Setting the foundation if you don't like a glowy finish. For people who live in dry climates I think this will be a great foundation. Other reviews were very positive on youtube.
I definitely agree Cream products will work better with this one that powder😁❤ And I added a little powder but it soaked it up. Lol. I'm hoping once I use a little more Powder it will wear better. I just need to find a way for it to not sit on the skin. That's my obstacle➡️ But I agree. Dry skin dry climate, this will be great. 😁 And I have watched several reviews this morning and people seem to really love it. Many I watched only wore it for 8 hrs and if I would have stopped the review and judged it at that point I may have had a different overview of it in my final thoughts. Amazing review! I do not own it myself but every time I saw it on others (online) I just didn’t like it how it looks on skin. It just looks thick and oily, which is strange as people seemed to rate it well. I am somehow released you have confirmed my suspicions about it.
I agree. When I saw people wearing it on Instagram it definitely looked dewy, but I was expecting to control some of the shine with a little powder. This one the powder doesn't last long. It reminded me of a super hilarious comment I got when I first started UA-cam and didn't wear any powder so my skin reflected off the lights like crazy lol. It hurt my feelings then (sadly you get used to shitty comments and laugh them off) but her comment is the best one and i laugh so hard. She said "Why does your face look like you stuck your head in a crisco can?" HAHAHA. I was on the fence with this one ( my country doesn’t allow returns once you have opened the product, which makes it extremely difficult right now when also make up is not tried on in store). I was cheering for it but I think my combo ( very-dry/ slightly oily in the nose and chain) skin could look quite greasy with it ( I need my foundation to last 10-12 hours due to work reasons, and now I need foundations that can stand those hours under a mask). Great review! :) As a combo skin gal I've purchased this with the intention of mixing it in with my Estee Lauder Double Wear! Its a bit too glowy on its own for my liking
I tried it out but returned it. Just doesn’t hold a candle to my beloved Beauty Blender skin tint and costs way more. It also sat on my skin in a way I didn’t like. I wanted to wash it off right away! Thank you for the review!

The 12hr reviews do help! I wake up around 4:30am for 7:30 am shift with a 45min+ commute, so when I leave at 4pm with an hr afternoon commute(it’s always worse in the afternoon) home, please know it helps and us 12+ hr folk appreciate it!!!!

I used to be oily when I was younger…and as I’ve gotten older and using prescription tretinion….it’s now normal to dry. I also live in Vegas..a really dry climate. I prefer a soft matte foundation and will add oil or creams on dry flare up days…so was curious about this. I’ll hold off to see what other dryer skin reviewers say as well. Thanks Tara!

I just couldn't decide between this foundation or the new Chanel one. What decided it for me was the wack shade finder on the Sephora site. It had me between 3c to 6c so I went with the new Chanel. Sure looks good on you tho Tara 😉💓

Great review and I have very very dry skin that is currently not doing well and it’s peeling, flaking, irritated and uncomfortable so I’m looking forward to it. Shades are weird because I ordered 3N thinking the model matched my skin tone but then watching reviews it seemed I should have bought 1N so I did and we shall see. Ordered the 3N through spacenk so I can’t return it st all due to their policy 😩 so hoping I can return it to her website directly if I don’t like 1N
Ya, the undertones are definitely different and not the easiest to match. I struggled with that on the Airbrush Flawless Foundation launch. The website told me 9W, but I'm glad I listened and got the 8W😁❤ hope you find the right shade because this Foundation seems perfect for your skin type🙌

Maybe Charlotte kind of thought of us older gals so I was born in 59 I have normal skin but on the more dryer side I would definitely say maybe on the dryer side so maybe this foundation is form more mature skin. I don’t know I’m just thinking I do like a more glow refinish not a greasy finish a Chloe finish so I find I always mix and match my foundation I can’t wear a flat or a matte foundation much too drying for me I’m on the more light to medium coverage I like a more this is my skin but better kind of coverage I don’t have a lot of flaws in my skin even at my age but I like that Dewey fresh look glowing from with in so I’m thinking this might be perfect for me this is why I love you reviews how thorough and in-depth you are because it allows me to figure out even though it may not have worked for you if this could possibly work for me. So thank you Tara for your in-depth reviews because there has been products that you did not like that have worked for me. I think ur skin is really smooth & u dnt have a lot of texture but it looks more light 2 medium with a pink undertone rather than medium with an olive undertone.. after u apply the foundation u can still c the pink undertone around ur eyes.
Dry skin and ..ahem..up there (aka 60+}. Live in a humid climate. Looks dry on me even with magic cream and I can’t find a suitable shade. Tara, you are so beautiful no matter what you wear!
i have really dry skin and i used it with the rare beauty pore diffusing primer and i really liked it! i also used charlotte’s setting spray and i think that helped balance out the foundation since it is so hydrating.
This is why I like your reviews. Exactly what happened to me and most people raved about this release and the product itself. The foundation just sat on top of my skin, whereas Light Wonder melts into my skin. Beautiful Skin has a glowy finish, but on the toned down metallic side, not the luminous finish I like in Light Wonder, Luminous Silk, etc. It emphasized my pores and dry patches, so this does not work for dry skin too. And sitting on top of the skin also is not good for wrinkles. I am not impressed at all. And Cool 3 pulled orange on my fair, cool skin. Fair 2 in Light Wonder is also a better match for me color wise. Plus it does not have SPF and most days, with a baby, I want one that does it all. P.S. Please try the new Chanel 1 foundation.
I'm so sorry to hear this didn't work for you either😫😫 I am hoping I find a way to make it work but my concern is, if I apply it over a Mattifying Primer will it be harder to blend into the skin. It sits on top of the skin, so normally that's what I love about the magic Cream it allows Foundation to melt into the skin. So, I'm definitely not giving up but I just don't know if it will be a winner lol. I bought the new Chanel Foundation so excited to try it🙌🙌 And I'm SO EXCITED for the new Nars. I really appreciate the 12 hour wear test. I typically wear my makeup for 12 hours. Put it on around 7am (before working at 8), come home, make dinner for my family around 6, take my makeup off after dinner when my mom duties are done. Bless the people who have shorter days, but I seriously appreciate the 12 hour test!

I agree! When I was commuting into the office, I would need my foundation to last 12 hours. I'd leave in the morning at 9 am, get off work at 6 pm, and if I went out after work, I could get home at 9 pm or later.
It's so crazy because I've been criticized SEVERAL times for testing a Foundation for 12 hours (and Foundation claims to last over 12 hrs) every time I respond I remind them that WE ARE BUSY WOMEN.. specially those who are busy working. People just don't get it. 😴 They think majority of the world live in a 8 hr world lol. Nothing would EVER get done, hell sometimes i feel like there is not enough time in the day as it is. LOL.

I have combo skin (oily in my t zone) so this is definitely a no for me. The reviews I’ve seen where people like this are folks who only wore it for a little while. It reminds me of the Laura Mercier Lumiere foundation. I love her Airbrush foundation and sheer it out with a sponge if need be. Thanks for saving me $$$$!!!

I put on my make up at 6 am and take it off around 9 pm. So these people that think you can’t expect foundation for 12+ hrs don’t have a full time job and drive home to pick up their kids at daycare, cook dinner, help with homework, put them to bed and then finally, blessedly take a shower and remove my make up. LOL. By the time your head hits the pillow, it's almost midnight and you are needing to get back up in 6 hours. Lol. I went for years on that schedule. I've had people say it's "dumb" LOL. I used to work 12 hour shifts as a CNA. I think people forget people work 12 hours or just have crazy busy days🤣 I don't think this is the one for you. Being that your oily. It may be a good mixer, but not alone. Lol. Her undertones are AWFUL. So strong and so different than other brands. I struggled with trying to find my shade in the Flawless but the only shade I didn't try was the 8W. LOL.

I feel like the people that don’t want 12 hr wear tests are people that just wear makeup to go out. The rest of us who wear make up to work appreciate your 12 hour wear tests as I want to look good at 8am when it goes on right through my day till i go out in the evening, with minimal touch ups! i definitely appreciate 12hr wear test for foundations ! let’s be real, many viewers watching beauty channels have jobs and any typical working day will have official hours of say 9am-6pm. that’s already 9 hours - in the workplace alone - at least. factor in an hour’s commute both ways and that’s 11 hrs out of the house. factor in the occasional overtime or after work drinks and that adds another hour or 2. foundations that claim 12, 16, 24 hr wear target precisely these people who work outside of their homes where it’s more realistic to assume a wearer to have a very full day from the get go.
YES👏👏👏👏👏 THIS🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 I worked as a CNA for a few years and my days would sometimes be 14- 16 hrs with makeup on. These 8 hour wear tests just don't cut it on those who work outside the home. Couldn't agree more. I've been critiqued so many times over 12 hr wear tests and I think to myself "do you think people really live their lives in a 8 hour window?" You're not living in the real world. I want to live in your world. 😝😝😝😝

I can’t wait for mine to arrive! I love the way it looks on your skin! I personally love to shine, like I want people to see my skin glowing from a mile away. I put a lot of work into my skin in the last year, and I want everyone to see it. This is why I don’t wear any kind of full coverage foundations (plus they also look terrible on me). I love Charlotte’s lighter coverage foundation, but it isn’t enough coverage for my problem area (AKA: my chin). This sounds like the foundation that I have been searching far and wide for. I am so dry that I don’t have any issues with foundation breaking up because of oil. My nose is the only area that has any oil and it takes about 12 hours to even show any breaking up if it even does break apart. I can’t even use setting powder because I am already so dry.
I know if you love a glow this will be right up your alley. You may have to tweak it and less is more with this one. But I think you'll absolutely LOVE IT❤❤❤❤❤

I used a Moda face brush, it resembles those Artist (or however you spell it🤣) brushes. I was a little worried because Mica is really high up the ingredient list, but it looks so good on me. Now I get to see how it actually wears. Time always tells the whole story with a foundation! Thank you for your thorough reviews and long wear tests. I appreciate them because I end up having my makeup on for a minimum of twelve hours on my work days. So far, so good!
Good morning Tara!! Happy Sunday!! I love this foundation because I’m so dry. I picked it up on Thursday when it dropped at Nordstrom’s (and helped GLAMGIRLCHELSEA in store;) I love the way it looks. I use my Bobbi Brown Enriched face base under it. I’ve also used the Milk Hydro Grip under it. I work 12 hr shifts usually. I will say if you use a gripping primer. Press it into the skin with a sponge, set it with setting spray. Conceal and powder. Spray again. Then do your other powder products. It will stay all day. Cream products seem to slide a little more with it. Powder blushes and bronzers work better with it. It’s a beautiful foundation and it does always even with powder come through more dewy. I suggest, I little more of a matte powder to set with. Because later the dew will come through. When applying just use a little and build slowly. Less is a little better with it. If you build to much it can get a little creasy and thick looking.
So far, using it the last few days. That’s what I’ve experienced and has worked for me so far☺️hope this helps. Love you💋and Amazing review❤️❤️❤️

I have dry skin as well, and I don't even have to powder it even tho it is glowy, but on me not "sticky" glowy, if you know what I mean.. No trasfer either. I only tried it two times so far, but it looks promising! And yeah, I used the CT magic cream under!
I appreciate when you test foundation for 12 hours. I finish my makeup at 6am. I work from 7am to 5:30pm. So I’m looking for foundations that last at least 12 hours to get me through the day. I love light wonder but it’s tacky and have issues blending my blush and bronzer unless I set cheek and forehead areas with powder. This seems similar in that characteristic. Great honest no BS review! Thank you. And PS: 12 hr checkin is perfect. Like someone said below, we may be working 8 hours but with commute, kid drop offs n pickups, and other chores, I have my make up on for 12 hours most days of the week so it’s very helpful.

I have it on 1/2 my face with freshly moisturized skin and 1/2 that didn’t have moisturizer applied since I got out of shower hours earlier. The moisturizer side definitely is more “glowy.” I’ll have to see how it wears over all. Great review!
Love all your reviews and especially the 12 hour and daylight check-ins! Most of us are going to wear our foundation for 8-12 hours, so seeing how it lasts throughout the day is very helpful. It is unlikely I will pick up as glowy/dewy is not a look I prefer even on my normal skin. I don’t mind my skin glowing but not my foundation. Thanks for sharing your experience with your usual frankness! 😘😘😘
That's how I feel. And as my skin has gotten more glowy. I have to be careful wearing a super glowy foundation because it's WAY too much Glow. And that's how this one was. I am hoping I can tweak it because it has potential. The magic Cream isn't advised, even though she has it pictured and pared with it on her website. Lol. Only recommend that combo for really dry skin😁❤
@@TaraLynnbeauty Yep it is easy to overdo it with the glow. It’s a fine line between dewy and shiny and greasy🤣 The magic cream is lovely but with the hydration and glow of the foundation, probably not a good combination. Hope you’re able to find a combination that gives you the results you like.

I used the Bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base and also her powder over my t-zone and it lasted through my 13 hour shift (with mask 😷 wearing also).

I need my foundation to last well over 12 hours! I work 12 and 1/2 hrs, and usually get ready a couple hours before that so, it needs to stay the best it can especially if they make that claim. I hope this works for me but I’m grateful to see this so I know what to use underneath. Thanks! PS: 9-5 people never think of the longer shifts or night shifts, so they can’t fathom past business hours.
Right👏👏👏 I can't tell you how many comments I've gotten criticizing me for reviewing a foundation for 12 hours and claiming it's "Not realistic ". I kindly remind them that people don't always work 9-5. When I was a CNA, I worked 12hrs + and I had a 2 hour commute on top of that (1 hour each way) now THOSE are some long ass days lol. People just don't get it. 😫 They almost get offended that I didn't like their new favorite Foundation so the nit pick. Sometimes I respond back with "I'm so glad you love the Foundation and I hope the stocks you have In the company pay well for you" they don't respond back but I swear it seems like they own the company they get so offended Lol. 🤪 Anyway. I have aged twice as fast for the time I’ve been in healthcare and it shows! Currently, I have a close to 2 hour commute each way, that’s going to be the end of me lol. I will have to have some overnight hotel stays soon to help with that. So, I definitely need the lasting and even then I know it’ll wear down because of my masks and such, but there are some days I just want to feel normal and that’s how I do it, by putting on makeup that to some may not make sense but to me it’s a piece of normalcy in all the madness. So, kindly tell those folks that I hope they appreciate their 9-5, because I don’t even get that in sleep. Lol, I love your channel because even if I don’t like what you do, or have the same skin tone as you, or whatever differences we have, I still learn that what you apply will serve me in how I apply something I do want or have, that may not have worked before. Hope that makes sense. I just learn from you as you are extremely thorough and that means so much! Truly an honest review always.

I make it by de stressing through down to earth people like you, Theresa is dead, Michelle Wong, Jen Luvs, Samantha March, Risa loves makeup, Taylor Wynn, Jessica Braun, Rawbeautykristi, Samantha Ravendahl, and several others, still can’t watch Mel’s just yet again. Everyone I found was because of someone on this list and I have 10-30 minutes of peace watching people do something I admire, and love. And, I am by no means an expert, I just love makeup…too much. Anyway, I thank you for giving that to me, it helps my mental health. It’s pretty bad when it’s not the death and sick that destroys us, but the way people treat you that does. So any break from mistreatment is a win for my health!

You are so extremely thorough, I really appreciate how you do full day wear tests, you show us how it’s looking in different light, you get up and close to your face. My foundation goes on at 7 am and I'm out the door by 730. By the time I remove it and start my night routine, it's 10pm, maybe 9pm on a good day. Yes, people do wear foundation for 12+ hours. Of course I don't eclectic it to last, but I do appreciate the 12 hr test. Thank you!

Aww. I bought it and I love it!!! Literally chefs kiss 💋. We usually have the same taste in foundation so keep trying it out maybe the magic cream was too much of a barrier.
Update: mine arrived today. It IS thick in consistency, kind of glue like. I found it a bit different to apply. And it did not like the texture of my skin around my mouth and chin. *looked bad up close
However, I was impressed with the slight glow it gave my dry, mature skin. It did not feel hydrating though.
Going to give it one more chance tomorrow. If it's a no-go I hope I can send it back.

So wonderful to see green/olive hues in this foundation (neutral). I have olive toned light skin and really difficult to find a foundation. This might be worth a try (maybe 5 N for me).
Yes, absolutely. My daughter has a strong olive Undertone and she struggles so much finding a foundation that caters to that. When she was visiting for Christmas, she wanted to try the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation and LOVED the Undertone in 7N. She is now using it as her Foundation when wearing makeup. She loves it. ❤ (But she's 18 lol. That Airbrush is a little too drying for me lol😁)
I think the issue might be the Magic Cream. I used it a few times before putting on foundation and my foundation ended up looking like that into 10 hours. I used Estee Lauder primer the next time and it didn't do that. When u were in the vehicle it looked So pretty!

Fabulous review Tara, thank you 💕 the check in was so helpful too! I’ve been playing around with this foundation for a few days now and had a similar experience (albeit I have combo skin). I find with a mattifying primer it lasts longer but really emphasises texture and looks heavier. With a more moisturised base it applies and looks much better but then doesn’t wear as well 😬 I want to love it but I can’t right now. I thought it would be more like a tinted moisturiser with amped up coverage to be honest, as opposed to sitting almost like the Airbrush Flawless does (so thick!!) 💕

She's a thick bitch😝 I am glad you shared your experience because that's what I am concerned about with using a Mattifying Primer, I was wondering if it would apply as smooth and evenly. Someone in the comments said they used the Tatcha Silk canvas and it applied and wore beautifully so I'm definitely going to try that. Initially it was beautiful on although it didn’t look bad in the latter portion of the video. I definitely think a hydrating foundation with a rich hydrating moisturizer would only work if you were super dry. I will say before you applied the foundation you were extremely shiny so in all fairness the wear test was already compromised. It’s awesome that your doing this because a lot of people have the same products and would do the same. If you like the glow I would just really set right down the middle of the face with a puff not a brush to really make it last. Like you that’s where most peoples foundation gets a questionable. You may still get shiny but it will definitely delay it further. Great detailed review thank you.
I’ve seen a few reviews on this and it’s really interesting some people talk about how thick it is and some people talk about how runny it is.
I am surprised to hear people say it's runny. That's not even close to the consistency. Lol. It's definitely thick. I would say a runny Foundation is the Pat McGrath Foundation it will run down your hand this won't move. Doesn't budge with any gravity lol.

You should try a gripping primer and a primer that isn't so hydrating. Try it without the magic cream and see if you like it . I've worn my foundation for 12 hours so I really appreciate your 12 check ins. Someone will always have something to complain about 😁

I got mine yesterday and loved it. But I didn’t use a hydrating primer I used Tatcha Silk primer. Worked great! Oh and I also set it with the Charlotte setting spray!

This was a great review!!! I also used a little powder before I put on the rest of my makeup because of the texture. I wore it for about 8 hours and loved how dewy it looked when I got home from work. I used my regular moisturizer which is by glow recipe and then a thin serum primer by neutrogena. Loved your review and thoughts!
I think I pass. I absolutely felt in love the the Lisa Eldridge foundation. It’s my go to. I even like it better than the Tom Ford Shade and illuminate. I just don’t like heavy foundations. I do love the magic cream though. Thank you for the review 😃
This is the exact opposite of the Lisa Eldridge Foundation. It's definitely thicker and a little too heavy. I am hoping to try and find a way to thin it out a little. The LE Foundation is a little drying for me it makes my wrinkles look a little dry, but I LOVE to mix it. I have been mixing it with the Ilia Skin Tint and it's stunning. LE has amazing undertones and I wanted to find a way to make that foundation work. It's beautiful and mixed with a little hydration, it's perfect. I don't think 12 hours is unreasonable, I often have my "face on" for 10 to 12 hours and I don't work (disabled).
I've been holding back from buying this one. I really, really appreciate your no bs, total honesty and that you're going to try different moisturisers/primers before making a solid decision.
Apart from the confusing shade range (undertones and depth are all over the place), the ridiculous claims given on the packaging is, at best, pure fantasy.

I have a love/hate relationship with CT. Love her powder and pillow talk lipstick, blush and eyeshadow quad. However, most of her lipsticks and neutral eye shadows pull orange on me. I have not had much luck with her foundation and concealer.
Therefore I’ll wait to hear more from you on this. I have really dry skin so the fact that it seems hydrating/dewy is promising. But I am concerned that you feel it is finicky or have to really work with it to make it look skin like.

But 7N in Airbrush Foundation (not a fan) I used to have combo skin its now normal with the odd oil slick patch. I was hoping to purchase but after seeing your review I am not so sure. I do not think I have ever disliked foundation more than this one. It left me with red, scaly skin. For 2 days i had try to do anything under the sun to deal with the rash and any product i used to moisturize was burning. I also had the same experiencr on how it wore on me.. It was a hot mess after 5 hours- patchy, cakey mess.. Hated this on me to the point I could not wait to return it. Great amf thorough review!!

It might be an idea to use cream based products with this foundation. Setting the foundation if you don't like a glowy finish. For people who live in dry climates I think this will be a great foundation. Other reviews were very positive on youtube.

Amazing review! I do not own it myself but every time I saw it on others (online) I just didn’t like it how it looks on skin. It just looks thick and oily, which is strange as people seemed to rate it well. I am somehow released you have confirmed my suspicions about it.
I agree. When I saw people wearing it on Instagram it definitely looked dewy, but I was expecting to control some of the shine with a little powder. This one the powder doesn't last long. I was on the fence with this one ( my country doesn’t allow returns once you have opened the product, which makes it extremely difficult right now when also make up is not tried on in store). I was cheering for it but I think my combo ( very-dry/ slightly oily in the nose and chain) skin could look quite greasy with it ( I need my foundation to last 10-12 hours due to work reasons, and now I need foundations that can stand those hours under a mask). As a combo skin gal I've purchased this with the intention of mixing it in with my Estee Lauder Double Wear! Its a bit too glowy on its own for my liking

I tried it out but returned it. Just doesn’t hold a candle to my beloved Beauty Blender skin tint and costs way more. It also sat on my skin in a way I didn’t like. I wanted to wash it off right away! Thank you for the review!

The 12hr reviews do help! I wake up around 4:30am for 7:30 am shift with a 45min+ commute, so when I leave at 4pm with an hr afternoon commute(it’s always worse in the afternoon) home, please know it helps and us 12+ hr folk appreciate it!!!!
YES🙌🙌 I can't tell you how many times I've received a nasty comment about a 12 hour wear test. I swear some people live in a bubble and don't understand the real world. When I worked as a CNA, I would wear my makeup for up to 16 hours. 🤣 Thank you so much for watching, really appreciate it 🙏

I used to be oily when I was younger…and as I’ve gotten older and using prescription tretinion….it’s now normal to dry. I also live in Vegas..a really dry climate. I prefer a soft matte foundation and will add oil or creams on dry flare up days…so was curious about this. I’ll hold off to see what other dryer skin reviewers say as well. Thanks Tara!

I just couldn't decide between this foundation or the new Chanel one. What decided it for me was the wack shade finder on the Sephora site. It had me between 3c to 6c so I went with the new Chanel. Sure looks good on you tho Tara 😉💓

Great review and I have very very dry skin that is currently not doing well and it’s peeling, flaking, irritated and uncomfortable so I’m looking forward to it. Shades are weird because I ordered 3N thinking the model matched my skin tone but then watching reviews it seemed I should have bought 1N so I did and we shall see. Ordered the 3N through spacenk so I can’t return it st all due to their policy 😩 so hoping I can return it to her website directly if I don’t like 1N
Ya, the undertones are definitely different and not the easiest to match. I struggled with that on the Airbrush Flawless Foundation launch. The website told me 9W, but I'm glad I listened and got the 8W😁❤ hope you find the right shade because this Foundation seems perfect for your skin type🙌

Maybe Charlotte kind of thought of us older gals so I was born in 59 I have normal skin but on the more dryer side I would definitely say maybe on the dryer side so maybe this foundation is form more mature skin. I don’t know I’m just thinking I do like a more glow refinish not a greasy finish a Chloe finish so I find I always mix and match my foundation I can’t wear a flat or a matte foundation much too drying for me I’m on the more light to medium coverage I like a more this is my skin but better kind of coverage I don’t have a lot of flaws in my skin even at my age but I like that Dewey fresh look glowing from with in so I’m thinking this might be perfect for me this is why I love you reviews how thorough and in-depth you are because it allows me to figure out even though it may not have worked for you if this could possibly work for me. So thank you Tara for your in-depth reviews because there has been products that you did not like that have worked for me. I think ur skin is really smooth & u dnt have a lot of texture but it looks more light 2 medium with a pink undertone rather than medium with an olive undertone.. after u apply the foundation u can still c the pink undertone around ur eyes.

Dry skin and ..ahem..up there (aka 60+}. Live in a humid climate. Looks dry on me even with magic cream and I can’t find a suitable shade. Tara, you are so beautiful no matter what you wear!
i have really dry skin and i used it with the rare beauty pore diffusing primer and i really liked it! i also used charlotte’s setting spray and i think that helped balance out the foundation since it is so hydrating.
This is why I like your reviews. Exactly what happened to me and most people raved about this release and the product itself. The foundation just sat on top of my skin, whereas Light Wonder melts into my skin. Beautiful Skin has a glowy finish, but on the toned down metallic side, not the luminous finish I like in Light Wonder, Luminous Silk, etc. It emphasized my pores and dry patches, so this does not work for dry skin too. And sitting on top of the skin also is not good for wrinkles. I am not impressed at all.
And Cool 3 pulled orange on my fair, cool skin. Fair 2 in Light Wonder is also a better match for me color wise. Plus it does not have SPF and most days, with a baby, I want one that does it all.
P.S. Please try the new Chanel 1 foundation.
I'm so sorry to hear this didn't work for you either😫😫 I am hoping I find a way to make it work but my concern is, if I apply it over a Mattifying Primer will it be harder to blend into the skin. It sits on top of the skin, so normally that's what I love about the magic Cream it allows Foundation to melt into the skin. So, I'm definitely not giving up but I just don't know if it will be a winner lol. I bought the new Chanel Foundation so excited to try it🙌🙌 And I'm SO EXCITED for the new Nars. Nars always has great Foundation. The Sheer glow was my go to for so long❤ Thank you for watching, I appreciate your support so much ❤
