I really like your videos. You're about the same age, coloring and face shape as myself, and I think you have such a beautiful way of speaking, teaching and applying products. Thanks!
I agree with you about Charlotte's "carnival-barker" advertising. It turns me off as well. But you can't fault the products! I think lots of people are almost surprised by how good they are. Nothing like the great feeling of getting a perfect match. I can feel how delighted you are!
Really nice to see someone who tries a lot of different products genuinely excited and happy about something. Foundation and concealer are always the holy grail.
I just got this foundation and used it for the first time today. I am 57 with combination skin and have never been able to wear CT foundations. So far I am LOVING this foundation...it is very pretty and has transformed my skin...it looks very smooth and airbrushed. I used a BK beauty brush to apply it.
I am very interested in trying this foundation. I need to wait though as I recently purchased the Lisa Eldridge one. I tend to purchase too many different foundations and I have decided this year to slow down and actually try to use some of them! Thank you for the review. You have very beautiful skin!
So pretty! Got mine in 6N and it really is so so pretty! I found this is weightless, where the IT CC is heavy. I’m in love. Thank you for the review xo
I really enjoyed your review of this Foundation. I picked up mine on Saturday and was going for a lighter shade but was told by a salesperson that the shades run light. I have super dry skin so it looks just perfect on my 67 year old skin. Slightly luminous. It does have a little fragrance in the form of rosa damascena (rose) flower water, but it's low on the ingredient deck.

So good for me! I have the same shade of the Lisa foundation you have and I agree with the yellow! I think I’ll try this and I love your finished look. So natural and glowy. You don’t look your age at all and your very pretty. Thanks
Oooohhh no I caved. I wasn't going to purchage this foundation, because I already have to many great foundations. But after seeing so many great reviews, I finely caved after watching this video. Thanks 😆
Second day wearing this foundation! Love it ! It’s really beautiful and it glows. I’m 49 and have combo skin. A little dehydrated do to tretinoin. I kept looking at myself in the mirror yesterday 😂 looked good until I washed my face at 10:00 p.m. all I have on underneath is a moisturizer with spf , so not quite a glowing as you. I didn’t need to powder:)

This foundation look GREAT on you. Wow! I’m sold! I have similar colourings to you and I like how natural and pretty it looks on the skin. A healthy complexion. Was wondering about this new CT, as like you, I didn’t really like the magic foundation. Also, I like the IT CC cream and wear it often, and I think it looks pretty natural, but this CT beautiful skin looks beautiful 😍😍😍. Thank you SO much for sharing and your honest comments. You look beautiful 👍🏻😀😍
Oh I loved this video, I am extremely dry with textured skin and all foundation just look awful that I have to wash it off and just used tinted sunscreen. I will try Charlotte's beautiful skin and see how that works. I have used her foundation before and didn't care for it. Thanks for the update.
I feels many brand have come a long way in the color department - but sometimes I got on a "losing streak" and everything is too yellow. I LOVE Dior foundations - their 2N is really a neutral
@@TheHoodedLid love the way this went on, not like her other foundations. The color is perfect for me now, probably too light in my summer skin though (even though I do my best not to tan!). It is very slightly glowy right now, not bad though. We'll see what the end of the day brings. It looks so stunning on you!!

Thank you! Great review. I had not considered this foundation because of the previous shade range. It’s now in my wish list. (I do wish her spf primer were available in Canada because it probably meshes very well with this foundation in addition to providing sun protection. Your bare skin looks so dewy, firm and youthfully plump !
I got my hands on a sample at my Sephora 2 days ago. I am 1N. Interestingly, I am definitely not the fairest of the fair, so I think she could have done 1 or 2 more fair shades. I did same as you and used it in the later afternoon the first day and then used it yesterday. This morning I had a few sensitivity pink bumps, so… yikes I might be sensitive to something. Or I could have a smidge of purging from my retinol a few nights ago. I’ll wait a few days to try it again. I actually love the CT Light Wonder foundation but I’m cautious with that one also because of the [spf] octinoxate in it. I can have sensitivity to that ingredient. Sensitive skin is a bummer! I am 65 with a lot more wrinkling and sun damage than you have. I am dry too, but find that extremely glowy/dewy finishes “enhance” my lines as well as settle into them a lot! But this looks lovely on you. I also didn’t get quite enough coverage of spots and pinkness and didn’t think it built very effectively. I might save the $$ as I have other products that do this or better for me. I’m happy I got a sample!!
That's so interesting....you might try the technique of a layer of foundation all over and spot concealing spots and pinkness with concealer rather than building the foundation. Yes, I can see how dewy foundations might enhance texture or lines and wrinkles - they aren't for everyone for sure!
@@TheHoodedLid yes that’s what I do but some of my spots have a tiny bit of texture so less of anything optimal. Some age spots are more tan and some whatever-kind-of spots are pinker. If I can mostly cover with a foundation I can use less concealer. If we weren’t having such high case numbers in Michigan I’d consider a peel of some type. I’ve never had one!! It scares me due to my extreme sensitivity. I get hive-y bumps a lot and have to think hard about what I used… was t something new? Was it something maybe expired? Was it a dreaded spf (so many just don’t work under foundations, it makes me crazy 🤪)
Damn! Not only did you drink funny juice today 😂 but an excellent review. Brow game is on. Let’s bring it home: please do a vid with this foundation, your favorite eye look, contour, and your favorite lip. 🙇🏻♀️ fyi gracias for the close up. Getting this foundation!
I really want to jump on the bandwagon with this but I am waiting - impatiently - to purchase. It looks beautiful on everyone that I have seen review it. However, you through me for a loop when you compared it to the IT CC. I don’t like any of the IT foundations (I do like many of other IT products.) but watching until the end made me to want it even more. Just beautiful!!!
You are glowing in this video! Beautiful foundation on you, very natural pretty look, thank you for your review!😊 Am seriously tempted to get it but am nervous of choosing the shade online, then again, I have bought Chanel and Dior foundations this year in stores but both were the wrong match, too dark. I am light medium with a rosy cool undertone.

I usually find CT’s line overhyped, but I’m going to try this one. I have been on a major foundation hunt lately and all of them are quite ‘meh’ for my skin. Everything from Dior, Nars, Chanel, Armani etc. They promise too much (sigh).
I have a foundation playlist! I think I've tried about 50 foundations - so do take a look. This color works best for me in the cooler months - but last year it was one of my most worn!
If you had to choose….this CT foundation or Dior? Not fair probably but curious 🤷🏻♀️. You have convinced me to try high end foundation. I fear CT too mostly because the products I have tried have been too warm for me…but I love the way this looks on you and we have similar complexion. Dior is so loved, if you suggested which one I try if I have tried neither before…which direction should I go? Thank you!
I can say that the Dior has a bit of a scent, and I didn't detect a scent from the CT. The Dior is less coverage than CT. Both are comfortable on the skin, but the Dior has almost a watery nature to it that feels refreshing and moisturizing. The CT has a bit of a thickness to it in that it doesn't has that watery feeling. They are both easy to apply. The CT looked pretty much the same at the end of the day, where the Dior might fade a touch. I don't think of them in the same category because the coverage and texture is so different. Hope that helps. You may be able to snag a sample at Sephora or Nordstroms. The Dior is only available at the Dior site, though. I don't think I've seen it in store anywhere.
@@TheHoodedLid - wow…thank you for such a thorough compare/contrast review. I appreciate that you gave this response so much thought. Super interesting and helpful!
Thank you so much! I think we might have the same skin tone. I’ve just thrown out my old ct magic foundation in 4 fair because it’s so yellow on me. And while we’re here, what’s your colour in the Lancôme concealer?
I’m still on the fence even though it looks so great on you. In the distant past I’ve purchased at least 3 shades of a couple of her foundations and the color was never right. I’m slightly olive so not sure 4N would work. Thanks for reviewing! I just received the Chanel No. 1 foundation and hope you will review that. Wore it one day, not loving it. Looks like I’m wearing foundation.
No, it doesn't feel the same - there's something "slippy" about this I can't describe it. Color-wise, I can say (don't recall what color I have in Exa - but I do know I found the entire line to be WARM and I had to buy a cool color)
I’ve been using it for about two weeks. Not for me. I’m 62 and have normal skin. It just doesn’t look or wear well on my skin. I have tried it with several different primers and moisturizers. Thanks for your reviews.
Can you share what you use for skincare/spf...you said you wait 30 minutes then spf? Do you wait again after SPF? I have all but quit makeup because of the pilling issue but possibly I am not giving it enough time to settle into my skin.
I have recently posted in the last few weeks my skincare routine for both am and pm. I have several sunscreens (today was Isintree which I also posted a video on recently) and usually put on my sunscreen within minutes after my skincare and usually make-up within 10 min. But on this day I waited longer to put on make-up just because I wasn't ready to shoot yet.
I think it's time for brand to kick the neautral, cool, and warm titles for shades and call the undertones what they are. Pink, yellow, red, peach, cheeto. It would make choosing a shade so much easier.
I've been waiting for your review because we are usually the same shade match. The CT website recommended 4W for me and that didn't seem right. I'm going to try the 4N. Thanks!
I really like your videos. You're about the same age, coloring and face shape as myself, and I think you have such a beautiful way of speaking, teaching and applying products. Thanks!

I had the 4 in the Magic too! Didn't work color-wise. Lancome 115!
Unrelated, but just saw the Stella Mcartney Square Opticals 52 mm at Saks 74 % discount, now about $50. Steel frame.
What is your current fav HG foundation? Thank you in advance!
It's impossible to say! I'm wearing this one today, which I love. The new NARS is brilliant, but they don't make a color for me.
Yes, I will do a 2-3 day wear test on the Chanel. Received it yesterday!
@Melanie W Try the 5N. Even though it says Neutral, it definitely leans olive versus the 4N. I have both.
Thanks so much, good tip!
What color was your Lisa Eldridge? You look quite stunning 🤩
Shade 11
I got #3 and I'm taking it back for #4 neutral. What color Lancome consealer do you use? I was looking to try that too. I am 59!!🥰🥰
No 115!
Hi, how does this compare to the Exa foundation? I wear #480 Liam in Exa and it’s a perfect match. Does the CT feel the same as Exa?
No, it doesn't feel the same - there's something "slippy" about this I can't describe it. Color-wise, I can say (don't recall what color I have in Exa - but I do know I found the entire line to be WARM and I had to buy a cool color)
Do you prefer CT or Exa? Thanks in advance
It would make choosing a shade so much easier.
lol - cheeto. That would be most of Nars and Laura Mercier and Rare Beauty -
DO SOMETHING WITH THAT DOG!!!!!!!!
Charlotte looks better than LE on your hand
100%!
I've been waiting for your review because we are usually the same shade match. The CT website recommended 4W for me and that didn't seem right. I'm going to try the 4N. Thanks!
