Wow! Adding the dark really did make the picture pop! I like that you have picked out the tri-tone colors. That is one of the things I struggle with…tying to find the colors that work together. 😁
It is difficult! I am finally getting better at it now that I have trained my eye and learned more color theory.

Oh my goodness the swatch book is amazing! I mix all kinds of pencils trying to get tri-tone shades for coloring. I don’t have any large sets! I need to get those pencils…unless I win, of course!😉

Thank you for the Softtouch+Pasteltints swatch sheet. This is a game changer. I filled in the Pasteltints and then challenged myself to guess the placement of the soft touch pencils. I love that the browns are disbursed throughout with their color families.

I have one word just Awesome. I have worked on watercolors which is totally different way of doing things. This is all new to me. I loved to color as a child but That was way different. I am so Thankful I discovered you. You are my Favorite.

Oh man, I completely appreciate the work Steve put into all those swatches. I made ONE of my own design and I thought it was going to be a bing-bang-done… WRONG lol. It was fun, but ONE and DONE for me. It is the only combination sheet I use for my combos tho, so I’m stoked it works for me. You guys are really cute :)

Do you have the tritone workbook with the derwent intense blocks? I just bought the full set. I was watching a video on how you can paint with them in your coloring books by just touching them with a wet brush. Oh my gosh it's my favorite thing to do now. These colors are so vivid and smooth on a page. I would love to get your workbook for them.

I've been using your swatch sheets and was wondering if they were purposely grouped into tritones! I thought I didn't understand hues cause I was thinking "the perfect dark/light is right beside this shouldn't it be lower in the sheet?" But now I realise it is intentional 😅

Q: Is Castle Art and Castle Art Gold the same? (If not, will there be a tri-tone chart for Gold aswell?
They are 2 different pencil formulas. Currently we have no plans to create Tri-Tones with the Gold Line. Even though I feel like they are a superior pencil, the color selection didn’t seem conducive to the Tri-Tone system. The swatch charts we created (putting the Gold in color order) is a great resource for anyone who needs help picking colors in the Gold set.

Which castle arts set is your favorite? The soft touch or the gold?
The color balance of the soft touch (especially when the pastels are added) is better then the gold, but I think the Gold is a better overall pencil.

Pretty disappointing this video was entire an ad for their products and virtually had no instruction or tutorial aspect. I think this may be the only video i've been disappointed by, usually Coloring Bliss videos are so brilliant
I learned what your supposed to do with the color pages for the tri-tones. Saw the three colors listed but originally was not thinking about blending them. Sorry you saw it as only an advertisement
