    They have been using the paceline rotors in the total weight of the new Force AXS. It really should incorporate the centerline rotors and that instantly knocks off another 100 grams overall.

    People have to buy a new power meter if they want to replace or change the chainrings on the crank. The power meter is completely integrated with the chainrings. Everyone focuses on the crankset looks and the 100g weight saving, but it's not practical or cost efficient at all.

    Great video! Thank you for sharing... The groupset does look amazing, overall it's more of an upgrade of the crankset and cosmetic properties, the shifting and braking performance is prob as good as last gen force and red... not sure if the new derailleurs can be paired with the older version shifters... Curious to see if there is any revolutionary improvement on the new Red groupset in the future...

      Your answer does not make sense or is it me. So you need four buttons to operate a two derailleur system so obviously you only need two buttons for a 1 x system. So right hand shifter 2 buttons, left hood would just be a brake lever 🤔🤔

    I'm sad to say, I'm a bit underwhelmed. It seems to be just regular FORCE with slightly lighter Rival Hoods. The one-pieces chainrings will make replacements more expensive and the whole set just costs more to start with. I just bought the old 1x Force Group for under 800 generic western currency on sale. Apparently there's a lot of stock left that had been waiting to be shiopped to Europe during the pandemic.

    • @ostapk8624

    • @Jimmidoesstuff
      @Jimmidoesstuff  Рік тому

      I think because the sram cassettes go down to a 10 tooth. So 48 x 10 is something like 34 x 11.

    Awesome work, appreciate the long shots of the different components. The overall new paint scheme is really not for me, rival axs components still look nicer and more minimal, subtle, industrial, at least they could have added some of the silver finish of sram red (especially for the chainrings), this new aesthetic actually makes the groupset look a bit cheap (of course all of this is very subjective). The biggest negative is that there is no new features in the shifters, all it has is carbon blades vs the rival ones, why no top hood buttons for switching screens on your computer etc., would've been the most sane/useful update. Looking forward to the next video.
