I think it’s great overall and I like the way you make your formicaria. An even better alternative for making holes that I use is the tip of a hot glue gun, still some risk but easier to use than a drill I think. Of course you are limited in size but it works well.

Yes buddy as long as you follow this build, the flooring will hold it in place.
Hey D colony maybe some DIY project for high temperature liking ants and low humidity?
This one may do buddy, you just need to use a heatmat to obtain the right temperature.

hi D colony I live in America and 11 years old can you do a tutorial on how to raise ants and how to house them?(depending on ant) By the way Im the same guy who tried for 3 years but didnt get a thriving ant colony pls you are the best ant keeper I know!

I live in Russia, where keepers are poorly developed. What species do you keep?What are your most popular bloggers containing ants?
At the moment I keep such species as: messsor structor, messor barbarus, temnotorex sp., lasius flavus, tetramorium bicarinatum. Recently my queen camponotus fedchenkoi 1/6 died.
I only keep self caught local specie buddy, if I have some time I watch ant holleufer, ants Canada, Jordan dean and some others.

This one will work without sponge buddy, just replace it with sand.

Different specie fly at different times buddy, you can search for them for more information about your desired specie available in your area. Most nuptial flight like in my area happens in hot and humid day buddy. So e specie even fly early in the morning and some at night. You can use black light too to attract queen ants. If you're from the tropics like me, maybe my past vids can help you. Just check my queen ant hunting playlist.

Nope buddy, I already use one like this to small species before and it did great. Just move them if it's starting to get crowded and you're good.
