Can't speak to the AMA window but I found that with the CRL template that the window doesn't fit if you don't remove the bracing and you need to cut to the outside of the line. If you don't remove the bracing or cut it back then the opening will be bigger than necessary. Maybe CRL alter the window, but that was my experience.

You didn't say how long to leave the tape on the AM glued window before taking off the tape.

CRL window info:
