On a 170 sprinter with the WAW setup, is it possible to shift the MOAB bed forward so it's not all the way up against the rear door?
Unfortunately you cannot shift the MOAB bed forward or backwards, only up and down.
When you pull the "chassis battery disconnect", the battery posts remain hot correct? You land one end of your new red cable right on the battery with the other end just flopping around hot (I presume). Going forward, the "chassis battery disconnect" would disable all power under the seat except what you just added. It bypasses the disconnect. Am I seeing this wrong?
I’m from Portland and I love what you guys are doing. Some recommendation for “ends game” status. If you could slide the tray bi directionally for internal and external access. And if the Ox box had the Track mount points discretely on the exterior of the box. This would allow you to cinch down the box while still being able to access the top contents. Many raft boat boxes operate this way. That way you don’t have to unstrap the boxes every time you want to get inside. It also builds a great integration with your track system and straps.
Thanks for the feedback, Justin!
If you switched to Zinc-Plated Steel pem nuts instead of the stainless pen nuts you wouldn't have to worry about galling. It's the stainless on stainless that's the issue. .
🤔🤔🤔 How do you replace the upper door hinge now? It covers the acces hole.
If you plan on reusing or reselling your headliner DO NOT follow these instructions of "quick pulls". How do I know? well, I did and the first panel with clips, it ripped out 3 mounts out of the headliner... I decided to use a regular angled pry tool after that and haven't broken a single clip across the whole car, including door panels and wall panels..
Do you have mule bags shaped for a transit custom please?
Hello! Our Mule Bags work great with Transit high roof models. There is a very small gap behind it when compared to the Sprinter, but hardly noticeable.
@@AdventureWagon thanks, but I do not have a Transit hight roof, but a "Ford Transit Custom". did you ever fit them on such vehicle?
Excellent video. Thanks guys, very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
This looks like a well engineered system, especially for a combo adventure and work van.
Thanks! It definitely works (and plays) well in a variety of scenarios.
I have the thermomoulded recessed panels on my build. Do I only put one layer of insulation on the recessed bays instead of the two that you sent me?
Never mind I just watched your video again, only slower. One piece of insulation only. Got it!
Glad it's all taken care of! Please email info@adventurewagon.com if you have any other questions.
Is there a wiring diagram for reference somewhere?
No wiring diagram at the moment, but if you have any specific questions you can email info@adventurewagon.com or call 503-427-0140.
The mount points are 21 inches apart? What about distance from the corner of the van wall for where l trac goes? Is it 12 inches deep on roof side and 13 inches down on wall side? This is what your companies yt video says?
Hi there! The distance from the corner to the track is 12" on the ceiling and 13.5" on the wall. There are some dims in the images of the product page at adventurewagon.com: adventurewagon.com/products/mule-bag-2-0
If replacing a 12v plug socket with one of these USB-C/A sockets, is the hole diameter the same?
Yes, the diameter is the same.
Are there panels for the 148, medium roof
Hello! Currently we only build interiors for high roof Transits and Sprinters.
You csn cut in any section as long as you modify the rib
Excellent and timely video. Thank you! I have and am installing your adventure wagon kit in my 2019 Transit. I also already have the same espar heating unit (you did not have them when I bought my kit). I am planning on installing under the passenger seat as well (very tight install). I don't have the mounting plate and gasket you show. Could I buy them from you? Again, I want to give you kudos for presenting another excellent video!
Hi there! Glad you found the video helpful. Please email info@adventurewagon.com regarding mounting plate and gasket and we'll get you taken care of!
Why would you drop the tank when the video clearly shows the aux port on the tank??
Bc the aux fuel line doesn't work well. Adding this standpipe is the best solution
@@bmxguy does anybody understand why the aux fuel port doesn't work well? Is it that it somehow losses its prime because of larger diameter than the thin standpipe? I'm just curious whether there is a link somewhere that talks about this.
@@masalser1 The pigtail is a 4mm line, Espar requires a 2mm line. Bummer Ford didn't do their research
There is a saying, "It is primarily due to the high altitude performance. When the elevation is above 5000 ft, the thinner standpipe (2mm DIA) has better fuel suction than the factory aux port (4mm DIA). Say, if you are going to the Sierras a lot, typically at 7000 ft, you want to have reliable fuel feeding to your heater." However, I wonder if this is the case. We can certainly do something about the fuel pump and ECU firmware to compensate for the fuel-air mixture if such an issue exists. Additionally, I consulted my local Ford maintenance center, and they told me drilling a hole in the fuel pump complex would void the factory warranty.
What kind of tape please?
@obiwankenobi779 that's 3M double sided tape
Brilliant!
Sold! I want one
Can I use these dividers in my existing Mule bags?
Hi there! Because the shape and size of the original and 2.0 Mule Bags are similar, the cubbies fit in either bag. However, the Mule Bag 2.0 has Velcro sewn into the top and bottom of the interior, which is meant to secure the Cubbies in place and keep them from shifting. The vertical divider will not work without Velcro. If you'd like to use the Storage Cubbies with the original Mule Bag, we suggest purchasing Velcro with adhesive backing and applying it to the inside of your Mule Bag. This will not have the longevity of sewn in Velcro, but it will allow the Storage Cubbies to work as intended. If you're just planning to set the storage cubbies along the bottom of the bag and not use the center divider, Velcro may not be necessary.
Hi, does the 2022 WB adventure wagon have solar pre-wired?
It does not have solar pre-wired, but we do offer a solar wiring kit: adventurewagon.com/products/solar-ready-kit
Any option for two USB-C outlets instead of the combo USB-A/USB-C?
Hello. No option for two USB-C outlets at the moment, unfortunately.
Thank you! I just bought a 2024 170 crew AWD. The build is forthcoming. I've actually been losing sleep wondering how to get the headliner out. Yay! Thanks to you guys, I'll actually get some sleep tonight!! 😂
Glad you found it helpful, thanks for letting us know!
This is exactly what I wanted.
Awesome!
Nice addition, upgrading to have USB-C available and still keeping backwards compatible USB-A. Clean simple install.
Agreed! Thanks!
Do you insulate/hushmat above the driver's headliner?
Yes! We do insulate and Hushmat above the headliner. You don't have to take the panel all the way out, you can just unhook the front to get access to the space.
Any plans for an EcoFlow integration kit for those of us who use that system? If not, is there any guidance for at least using the EcoFlow system that came with the Winnebago Adventure Wagon as the house battery?
@@AdventureWagon could you make a video for it as well? Maybe using this new component ua-cam.com/video/6-i-Yq-HhOM/v-deo.htmlsi=UPFahcOzrsm1CkOp
Great job, those upholstered panels REALLY make make for a CLEAN looking install! And of course the L-track makes it very versatile
Great video...very helpful and the instructions were super easy to follow. Thank you!
Not finding this kit on your website?
Hi! If you go to "build your van" on our homepage, that is the process for purchasing the kit. You choose your materials and colors, accessories such as bed, overhead storage, etc. and place your deposit. We do not sell just the A-frame on its own, it's part of the compete kit. Hope this helps!
Is that the v1 and v2 kit for the sprinter 144? What is the difference between them?
Will the Moab bed for in a trans connect? That’s a great setup!
Hi there! The MOAB bed is made either the Transit High Roof Long and Long Extended, or the Sprinter High Roof 144 or 170 wheel base.
Will this kit work with the old high mounted fuse box system?
this doesn't show much of anything. What's the order of numbering is there any logic to it? why not include a photo of a wall with a key to where the pieces go. "Driver low bay" isn't saying anything to a non-native English speaker doing this for the first time. Everything is labelled "low bay" with shapes that don't seem to correspond to anything I see in a van.
Excellent video. Thx.
Where do u get this item
You can get the MOAB bed at adventurewagon.com
Any way to access the contents of the boxes within the van to avoid inclement weather or a dangerous situation outside?
It really depends on the height and size of the bed you're using. While the tray does not slide both ways, when stored it sits 60+" into the back of the van. So the rear boxes should be accessible assuming you have a few inches between the top of the box and the bottom of your bed. If planning to access gear from the inside, we would recommend storing the smaller boxes (49L) in the rear of the tray because they're easier to remove from the tray under the bed, and usually it's the smaller items you need access to when inside the van.
What size wires were you running through the gland?
The Boxes are cool. Curious what width Radio wave tray you use the narrow or wide. my setup would use the tray for bicycles and or the Ox boxes. Mainly a smartfloor question for attachment to the LTrack points. And I imagine once you set the width you probably aren't going to change the width up and down. unless its really quick.
Hi Mark! The Wave Tray in the video is set to nearly its widest point. We simply measured the distance between the L-tracks and matched the width of the Wave tray so it would easily bolt into the track. Agreed that once you set the width, it's unlikely that you'd be frequently adjusting it as there are a lot of bolts, although for two people it only takes 30 minutes or so. However, taking the tray in and out of the van is quite simple, especially with two people.
This is SO helpful. Really calmed my nerves in starting the project, thank you!
Great product, greetings from the Netherlands
Good solution to maximize storage while minimizing playing Tetris with your storage items. Are there Ox Boxes to support the 4ft Radio Slider.
Nice system, but find the metal structure on underside quite sharp! Dont know how many times our family has reached in to grab something only to jit our heads in a sharp piece of metal.
Looks pretty tidy. Is that a gas strut in the middle of the panel?
It is! Thanks for noticing! ☺
Fantastically helpful video that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Thanks.
Glad you found it helpful!
Seems like a lot of time spent explaining how your interior system works and why you can't provide clear directions with the product when you could just indicate how many inches off the wall and ceiling the center of L Track needs to be placed and let us figure out our wall thickness. The ceiling location in relation to the factory holes was helpful.
thanks ! well done
I would love if these could attach under the MOAB
Very well done instructions... at what step (video in series) do you reattach the grounding points?
