Hey Kay, how about trying out a delicious Spaghetti Bolognese tonight? It’s super easy and your taste buds will thank you! Just follow these simple steps. You won’t regret it! Ingredients: • 1 pound (450g) minced meat (beef, pork, or a mix) • 1 onion, finely chopped • 2 cloves of garlic, minced • 1 can (14 oz/400g) crushed tomatoes • 1 teaspoon dried oregano • Salt and pepper to taste • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 8 oz (225g) spaghetti • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional) Instructions: 1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. 2. Add the chopped onions and garlic and sauté until they become translucent. 3. Add the minced meat and cook until it’s browned and crumbled. 4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain. 6. Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked spaghetti. 7. Optionally, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
yeah sounds nice but if she's gonna do one it could be a traditional Italian one. I actually think Kay would prefer it. I love garlic though so mine wouldn't be authentic.
I loved it when kay said pepea for pepper and happy Halloween with lights off and lighter she sometimes says potatoe spuds in her videos kays not just a cook shes also a comedian best of both worlds 😚😂👏😂
Every time I see somebody give you advice, you always turn it down. You even got mad with me once when I commented about the temperature of the stove, maybe take the advice people are giving you😊
Hi Kay,don't know where you found that recipe BUT dumplings made with plain flour are sad, soggy little lead bombs! Either use self raising flour or plain and baking powder, that way they turn out light and fluffy.
I recently made some dumplings but ran out of suet halfway through measuring it, so we made up the rest of the weight with butter and just breadcrumbed it into the flour. Best, most fluffiest dumplings I've ever made!
Hey Kay! Nice video! I always enjoy when you show us the seasonings & measuring spoons and such, it really makes for a well-rounded and immersive cooking experience, and one that we all get to share with you 💚 I look forward to seeing what you cook next!
I use butter, milk, baking powder and flour and you get a nice light fluffy dumpling, and if you use a half teaspoon butter and oil and brown your stew meat first you get a nice rich stock .
Back in the day my gran would use suet for her dumplings they we're always nice and light. Could eat loads of them personally. It's always nice watching you, Kay. Take care x
Dried herbs, frozen carrots, gravy granules, in a stew😮 ohh dear. A stew is a beautiful warm and hearty dish. You dont seem to be rushed off your feet, so try with all fresh ingredients and make your own beef stock.
The recipe for dumplings is on the side of the suet box. 100g self raising flour Seasoning to taste ( herbs are good) 50g suet Mix, then bring together gradually with cold water. (using a table knife) Drop into your casserole and transfer to the oven 280°c for the last 30min cooking time. Remove lid for last 10 mins for a nice crunchy top. Enjoy!
Your temperature was too high and you burned the onions, your stove should not be that high when making stew. I think you need to find recipe's that have accurate measurments instead of "add water," don't work blind unless you've done this many times before, and leave links to the recipes you find in the descriptions as well so your viewers can access them as well. Prepare your ingredients ahead of time and measure everything out so its all good to go when you start and it saves you time, I also wouldn't put packaging on the stove top while its on to avoid melting and burning things. I know you mean well and you're still learning, this is just friendly criticism and advice I'm giving you, try not to take it as an attack.
Dumplings were dry cos your mixture was too dry and you handled it way too much, and turn your temperature down! When onions go black it means start again, you’ve burnt it
Hi Kay! I absolutely love your cooking. I'm from Canada and have watched you for years!! I truly appreciate your content!! A big thank you!! Please stay safe and take care!!🤗🤗😘
I think after watching Kay’s videos for years probably, it occurs to me that the reason why things just don’t turn out is because of lack of instinct in the kitchen. Some people are born with it, some aren’t. Some people, no matter how much they try, they’ll never be able to cook.
Stew and dumplings is a perfect meal for this time of year, perfect for keeping the chills out after getting a cold breeze right up your back. I remember one time being in the Cantonia or somewhere like that and went to a local restaurant that the locals to recommended me for their famous and luxurious dumpling meals. When my meal arrived it was all chicken beaks and tongues and feet. My Cantonese is not very good and it turned out that I ordered the chicken beaks and tongues and feet meal by accident. However, it was still a delicious feast and did actually come with pig eyes, which are a bit like dumplings with them be all round and slimy and all that. Fumbs up.
Hi Kay, I absolutely adore your videos! As the nights are getting darker and colder, I am always drawn to something warm and hearty, is there any chance you could cook up a vegetable soup? Love your videos ❤ xx
Look Kay, it’s me Bert back commenting again. So my wife and I were watching some of your original videos from years ago on your other channel. You seemed so alive Kay. So full of joy to be cooking. Hi Kay! Could you please make my mother's own recipe? She used to make it all the time for me when I was a youngen! Spread a thick layer of peanut butter evenly over the pizza crust. Be sure to cover every inch of it. Arrange the pickle slices on top of the peanut butter. Make sure to overlap them for that extra pickle-y goodness. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and ketchup to create a "special sauce." Pour it over the pickle-covered pizza. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the entire pizza, so it sticks to the peanut butter and pickles. Scatter the chopped onions across the pizza, adding a hint of "spiciness" to the dish. For that surprise sweet element, place gummy bears randomly on top of the pizza. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a moment, and then try to eat a slice

Exactly. A stew should be simmered on a low heat for 2-3 hours, the meat will then just fall apart. Boiling that, reduced the liquid so much. Not a stew. Just crappy dumplings with sauce.
