I bought one of these after a decade of M3s ( an e46 and 2 e92s) I adored the naturally aspirated m cars, I think the DCT E92 is one of the best cars ever made. 6 months into QV ownership and I think I prefer the QV to any car I have ever owned. When you say it’s a sports car , not a sport saloon you are so spot on. The QV is just nuts. It feels so agile and alive, amazing balance and grip, and the engine is quite remarkable. The ride is very fluid, not stiff yet really positive and confidence inspiring. I have the 8 speed ZF , it’s beautifully set up, really nice ratios and it’s almost dct quick. For pure driving thrills it’s the car to have. Also, while the build quality isn’t bmw m levels, it’s still a very well built car, and I love the Italian flare both inside and out. Ciao Bella !
Itaian cars are just beautiful... if a car gives you that feelings it completly changes everything... the Giulia is so awesome one of you youtube-guys finally have to buy one :D i'm so in love with this brand :D Forza Alfa Romeo!
@@ultraguy8771 Thats an old and one off engine for mid 2000s M5 it has no bearing at all on modern BMW asode of stupid shit BMW started soing back then like self centering turn indicator stalks and removal of dipsticks on all engines.
Really glad that you finally drove the Guilia, such an amazing car. I would agree about the lack of noise however this is a minor issue. I parted with my C63 for this car and I think it's the best drivers car I have ever owned. Three months down the road and every drive short or long is magical and attracts a lot of attention.
Thank you for recommending the Giulia at any level. I just bought a 2019 ti Sport Q4 and I love it. Getting an exhaust and some carbon bits to personalize it. Super fun!
Darren Nice have a look at map of Greolieres, the roads to The west of thefe including col de bleine and the verdon gorge..and route napoleon are all superb for us locals whetger cycling driving or on motorbikes. It snowed at Greolieres yesterday!
Many thanks for the Google Maps link, Sam 😊 I will definitely check this road the next time I will go to the South of France. Enjoy your stay in my country!
+Seen through Glass Please use your influence with the Fiat guys to have the 6-speed Manual come to the US (and UK I guess). Looked like you were enjoying the experience.
Awesome Video Sam! Keep up the great work! I am also in love with the Quadrifoglio too! It would be sweet if @ Alfa Romeo would give you a long term loner or something would love to see more content with this car. Anyways, I am rambling, have a good one!
@SeenThroughGlass would you recommend the manual over the automatic? Especially, for handling & driver engagement? Or would you say the automatic is better?
Tbe road was used in Goldeneye, Ronin and Jonny English. My friends and I paraglide there and I know a few other great and more secret roads. Brian @instasteeley Ps so glad it comes in a manual now!
Sam I know you don't like to be a car reviewer, and prefer to do more of a lifestyle channel... but you should do more segments like this dude, because you're really good at it!
Pretty impressive that Alfa did a respray on that car in under 24 hours for you Sam! Who cares how unreliable they are when the service is that good?! xD
Thinking about upgrading my Abarth 124 spider to the Juilia Q.V. - but have you driven the Veloce? Would be good to know how it feels for half the money 💰
sik sik video much like much appreciate. Also really into that funky music fkj tom misch vibe you always have going on. Do you have like a playlist or channel I can follow to find the songs? Or suggest a good place to find similar music? You mentioned you're really into music in your Q&A so you are thereby obliged to share all these great tunes. Cheers.
One thing you can read almost nowhere: The turbo produces around 2,5 bar. That's quite a lot - too much in my opinion cause I would be afraid of the long-term effects. Anyway the Giulia is a gorgeous car!!
That's because you know, you know that the M3 is dressed as a sport pedigree, and that Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio IS actually from sport pedigree. Its like your driving the car that the M3 get mentored by. #TheReturnoftheKING #WeArealdisti
I do hope Alfa Romeo considering E Segment Liftback Fastback to compete with A7, 6 Series and CLS. D Segment Giulia seems compact for me. I'm a huge fan for E-Segment cars.
This is a beautiful car with a lot if hp has a nice fit and finish but people have said that this is not really reliable alot of issues. Pure italian cars without a bit of german influence are a don't buy as for older ferraris don't the 360 is considered bad even by older italian car standards. Great road
Hi Sam, Very nice vlog ! I live next to Cannes and own a Giulia Veloce 280 hp AT 8 Should you want to test drive it, i’ll be obliged. And thanks for the map link !
One question tho, I've seen some reviews and they've been saying that once you use the indicator to change lanes is impossible to stop it, did they fix it or is it still the same?
Yup, but you get used to it. If you don’t push the lever all the way, it blinks for 5 tics. If you push it all the way, you have to either do an actual turn or you have to push the lever the other way...
Loving your work Sam. I daily drive my Quadrifoglio, 8 months and 12,000 miles - zero issues. Fantastic car.
@Alex Pasquinelli damn gl man
Nick Fryer 12k miles is not a number to report issues. It should be 0 issues at least until 50k to say its reliable.
So how is it been if you still have it?
Now 50k miles. I had a sticky exhaust valve, that’s been the only issue. Amazing car, gta on the way.
@@nicksausage have you replaced the serpentine belt? And if so is it an expensive job?

This car sounds WAY better than the M3.
Kees Sonnema I agree but Paul's m3 sounded insane
This generation M3/M4 is the worst sounding performance engine ever, even if you change the exhaust (actually it gets worst)
@TheSushiraw bruh that 2.9 v6 has engine has a rare sound BMW never gonna have engines like alfa

Great video Sam, loving the cinematography!
He's by far the best automotive youtuber out there at the moment
I wish more car vloggers would link roads as well. Good stuff!
That road you're on is the one from Ferrari F355/DB5 race from Goldeneye!
99PenceProductions 355 drifting on the gravel gave me my first boner
I would let the Russian chick squeeze me to death any day.
Jeremy Clarkson "AH LAVEGNAAAAA!!!"
yes title is: Aston Martin DB5 race with Ferrari 355 from GoldenEye ua-cam.com/video/ACwkQP6q1QQ/v-deo.html
The sound is incredible, one of the best ever I think
Sam is slowly becoming the kind of presenter that we see day in day out on Top Gear. Nice work Sam! 😉👌
Beautiful car! From Italy
Italian cars have soul ♥ your last few videos are incredible :)
from friends experiences they have problematic souls
agreed his content is getting better and better by the day
your friends had bad examples then.
David Ball I own two Italian and no problems

Those drone shots!!! Love em... we want more ;)
I loved this video by the way, one of your best.
What a road! wicked content Sam, thanks for sharing.
Wow do rental cars have tendencies to change colour to red? Clarkson's Toyota did exactly the same
Lol
I loved that episode, James May was hilarious on the catamaran.
Riswan Ahmad P. And Hammond's noble 😂
Sam , get the gulia quadrofolio as your daily and sell the abarth.
Latvietis96 Go and drive one, you'll see. You'll even realize it's probably more like.. the best idea ever.
Wow, an amazing road 👍🏼 There's nothing as beautiful as that here in the UK. Gorgeous car too.

Brilliant video Sam! Really enjoyed it
Just love these vids sam! Keep them coming 😍
I love this road! My parents still live there, it is an amazing place to drive!:)
This video is awesome one of your best so far!
Only with Italian cars I can watch video longer than 5 mins. This one was awesome.
cmon the sound is amazing
You have learned the drone quickly....excellent footage and editing Sam
Best sedan ever !
Thank you so much for providing the Maps location, I'll try to check out the route in around 2 weeks time - pics will follow ;) Great video, as well !
If you ever get one.
Change the exhaust to Larini or Gt Haus.
Problem with the sound solved.
Great car on a great road. I love that Gulia
Why don't you buy a QV as a daily?Giulia QV + manual 360.... that would be an epic combo (also #italiancrew)
SPProduction02 He said that it was a little too expensive, but he did say that if it was £45,000 rather than £55,000 he would.
Route de gentelly! It really rocks Sam! Done that with a 718 Boxster S, video in my playlist btw!
Just drove today the giulia qv . What a beast . 😎
It truly is the most staggeringly beautiful road, even when driven in a Kia Ceed diesel!!
It can be coded to have its exhaust valves fully open all the time in dynamic mode :) but it should come like that standard!
Back on form Sammy boy! Great vlog
Amazing!
I love this car so much. ❤️🍀😍
Nice drone shots!

Lucky guy, he gets to drive more Italian cars than i get to eat pizzas, me the happy MiTo owner.

Trouble with Alfa is in 12 months it's only worth a bowl of pasta....
Amazing drone shots!!!!
@SeenThroughGlass would you recommend the manual over the automatic? Especially, for handling & driver engagement? Or would you say the automatic is better?
Great vid....m3 competition pack owner myself but on the back of your review im gonna test drive the alfa. Carry on the good work 👍👍
Yo drone shots looking good man:) nice work

This road reminds me a lot of driving on La Gomera. What a joy!
The Giulia suits you mate. Very nice car
Agree with you on the price element. If they traded at £10k less, huge huge contender.
Great shots
Don’t blame the car mate! U definitely were shifting with the right hand
You are shifting with the right hand boy.
Alfa over bimmer all day fantastic video sam
Sam I know you don't like to be a car reviewer, and prefer to do more of a lifestyle channel... but you should do more segments like this dude, because you're really good at it!
Manual Ferrari 360, used Alfa Romeo Giulia QV as a daily, Abarth 124 or Lancia Delta as a classic :)
Pretty impressive that Alfa did a respray on that car in under 24 hours for you Sam!
Who cares how unreliable they are when the service is that good?! xD
Gear shifting in Italian cars feels so easy and smooth
Awesome video man
i fell in love with the blue(???) giulia...
Giulia Quadrifoglio the best sedan in the world !
Please get a Giulia as a daily 😍
At 6:00 +seenthroughglass did you actually try to shift there with a pedal😂😂

It's all gone to pot - where is the outro music?? Never watching another one.. Hahahaha Love that car.
Is that a wooden guard rail separating the driver from the cliff during the intro??
Just saw it at 1:58, yep wooden...wow.
Like the vid, love the Quadrifoglio! But a question, what watch are you wearing there :o.
Great video... sorry completely off topic but have you considered the Ferrari F355, if so why did you favour the 360 ... be interested to know fella?

you should try the N222 in Portugal, it's consider the best road in the world!
Amazing video m8
Auto would be a Perfect daily alongside a manual 360 Sam and you know it haha
Whats the reason behind them not being available in manual over in the UK? Purely marketing or something mechanical due to the swap over to RH drive?
I love that car😱😍 it has to be your daily! Do it!😂

Do fca a favour and buy one. Or better Fca give this you tuber a loancar like archie drives the Audi. Best advert ever.
Nice! Now you just need the car in your drone shots

Did Sam not get the memo that the BiTurbo V6 he doesn't like is a BiTurbo V8 Ferrari engine with two cylinders lopped off?
When i am finally old enough to drive and when i finally have the money, i will get myself one of these
when you coming to Australia ?
For your classic car you should consider the E30 M3 or an R34 GTR!

With video quality like this, traditional motoring journalists should be worried.
