I wanted to try a voice-over across the entire video to see what you guys think. Worst time I could have chosen to do this as I've recently had some bad news. But I'll perk up for the next one if you guys seem to like it. Thanks for watching!
I think these voice-overs are awesome! They keep the viewer on track of what's happening exactly. I'd think the engine teardowns are more pleasant as "ASMR" But it would be cool there also hear you point out things that might confuse or need more explaining. I'm a big fan of these series and there's possibly 0 videos I already haven't watched. These really make my day. Keep up doing these amazing videos!
get some clear protective cover to cover your lights as well that'll go on top of the acrylic, so if after over spray eventually covers the sheets and dims the light you can just peel of the protective cover and apply a new one, back to 100% light.
Thanks Josh! I will be giving it a go from now on. I'm seeing a lot of positive feedback which is encouraging. She's a naughty one, one of three kittens that were born in my garden :)
For the sealing of doors you could use shower door sealing. They are like magnetic wires in tubes of silicone that pull two tubes of them together so the fitting seals pretty good.
(48W*8)/230 = 1.7A Regular 1.5mm flex is more than enough for the distance you are likely to use it. The flickering is down to a difference in the light frequency and your camera's shutter speed.
your voiceovers are very enjoyable! you only talk about stuff worth mentioning contrary to so many other YTers. It really helps following your line of thought behind things, pls keep it up!
I've had a huge crack in my phone screen for the past 8 months and it has made watching your videos much more difficult. I finally get it fixed and you start doing voiceovers? 😂 Murphy's Law is true I guess lol
love watching your videos geez, aint seen a bad one yet. hope you over come your bad news, and I wish nothing but success for you and your business. stay happy and healthy.
you can make an alluminium very thin arround the door and screw it into the door, after that between the metal and the wall you can glue old car sealings (like this around the doors) to seal the door
hi! nice work! for the door seals, i'd look at a flexible plastic strip with magnets on it, maybe those weak flat magnet... which could stick on a piece of iron trim all around the doors... Also, for your big front doors, they will most likely sag towards the middle, and really drag on the floor. i'd look into putting a set of wheels there so they are supported and open and close better....
Great work! I would have made the shelf a frame to screw the shelf on to first using continuous lengths for the widths. Anyway, to fix the flickering, you need to slow your camera shutter settings. You'll need to slow them down in increments to see what works for you. Carry on with the good work and I hope your mood lifts. Sorry about the bad news you received.
A rubber p-seal with an adhesive backing and/or bonded into the appropriate side of the door frame would be easy. Don’t know if it’s the best solution, but I’ve done this on things to keep water out of door seems in an industrial setting, bonded into place with an rtv and fixtured for cure with tape.
to seal the inner door on the booth - put a lip around the door, while its open put a fat bead of silicon around the lip. Leave it to dry (without closing the door) and then when you close the door, the silicon will act like a rubber seal
how do u remove the glass from the lightcovers? how do u protect them from the paint? how do u change the filters? i run my own painshop and u need to think of some door-style way of changing the filters. btw those green filters look like the one i use, theyr fine.
Flicker is due to cheap LED drivers. You should replace these with specified "flicker free" versions. Also, re door sealing. The door is swinging the wrong way. It should swing outwards so the negative (exhaust fan) pressure pulls the door closed against rubber/foam sealing strips.
i am by no means a camera expert but from what i understand it could be the LEDs have a refresh rate that exceeds that of the cameras frame rate when it records which could causes the flashing on camera. it could possibly be fixed if you can increase the frame rate that the camera records at.
Nice booth! Try to use to little wheels in the inner corner of the doors. So the weight will be not supported by the frame, and you don’t have to pull them up.
Brings back memories some decades ago building a similar 'simple' booth. Just a comment - but the position of your lights could result in shadow areas down the side of the vehicle. Have a nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
20FT Garage Door Weather Strip Threshold Bottom Weather Seal 5/16" T x 3 3/4" W u u can make a frame the your booth door closses against and use thie type of seal to press the door up against and then use somthing like this latch Slide Door Barrel Bolt Bathroom Toilet Shoot Door Dead Lock Sliding Catch Latch but u have to make sure it is a bit tuff to latch to ensure a good seal on your door
Adorafluffle helper :) Excellent work getting it all sealed and a good design. As a woodworker, I am very sceptical about the framing timber you used for the whole project. Should have used 70x35cm for it all. Even for something as lightweight as a spray booth, you're gonna have problems with sagging and warping pretty soon, especially in the heat you have there.
The linking lights are caused by the led driver frequency. And the led diods seems to be bad for painting and photo/ video you should get ones with highest cri( color rendering index ) you can buy
The LED flicker can be resolved by using a "flicker-free" driver for each light. I usually get my electronics from CPC / Farnell in the UK, but not sure what's available in Spain. The length of cable you're using should support all the lights as they're only low wattage. Not like you're running a string of 500W incandescent lights or anything. EDIT: Damn, just realised you'll have to remove the seals to each light to replace the drivers. Rather you than me!
Maybe something like the strips of Window/ Door insulation seals? Great to see another video and hope you are OK. Thanks for sharing your journey as always
For the flickering you should play with your camera fps settings and see if you can find one that doesn't closely match the led. Theres also ways to fix it when editing check Peter McKinnon on UA-cam. For the doors no need to seal just make sure you keep slightly positive pressure inside the booth. Make sure you don't have negative pressure if you completely seal it it could collapse.
I wanted to try a voice-over across the entire video to see what you guys think. Worst time I could have chosen to do this as I've recently had some bad news. But I'll perk up for the next one if you guys seem to like it. Thanks for watching!
Please don't do voiceover you have nice voice but i like silent videos more where you Just make subtitles
@@Vixterex Why not both? You can turn off the sound :)
I like it! 👍🏽
Big fan actually!

Voice over definitely helps when following along 👍
Thanks Faraday, I'm going to trying in the next one also :)

Cool video, man. Definitely prefer the voice over. It gives more of a personal touch and is easier to follow along with. Also, your cat is adorable.
Thanks Josh! I will be giving it a go from now on. I'm seeing a lot of positive feedback which is encouraging. She's a naughty one, one of three kittens that were born in my garden :)
Steve, it is so good to see you back at it! The voice-over is great. Take care
Thank you Gary! Soon i'll be back to 100% :) Speak soon.
Excellent
For the sealing of doors you could use shower door sealing. They are like magnetic wires in tubes of silicone that pull two tubes of them together so the fitting seals pretty good.
Thank you Julian I'll consider this!
(48W*8)/230 = 1.7A Regular 1.5mm flex is more than enough for the distance you are likely to use it.
The flickering is down to a difference in the light frequency and your camera's shutter speed.
Thanks Abaile, I'll have to change the shutter speed and see how it turns out.
your voiceovers are very enjoyable! you only talk about stuff worth mentioning contrary to so many other YTers. It really helps following your line of thought behind things, pls keep it up!
with rubber sealing overlap, something like you can see on the windows and doors.
Triforce Podcast! What a nice surprise!
Great advances on the shop. And also great video to start voiceover since there was so much to show. Great work!!
Thank you Alan! Glad you enjoyed it.
Voiceover is cool. It lets people following along understand your choices and process. Helps them with their own problem solving.
you could use rubber door gaskets that are typical on exterior doors in north america to seal the side door.
Sweet thank you Greg, I'll google that :D
Dude, this is huge! I thought about the airlock doors, PVC foil doors with zipper should solve the problem! They are cheap and easy to install.
looking really good ! great work. cant wait to see more of it !
Propane torch on the cut edges of the plastic works great
Long time due but always makes me happy to watch your videos
I've had a huge crack in my phone screen for the past 8 months and it has made watching your videos much more difficult. I finally get it fixed and you start doing voiceovers? 😂 Murphy's Law is true I guess lol
Nice build what type of lights did you use and where can I get them thanks
love watching your videos geez, aint seen a bad one yet. hope you over come your bad news, and I wish nothing but success for you and your business. stay happy and healthy.
You could seal the door with windshield wiper rubbers (you can buy that from eBay or Aliexpress) it has a little notch for the door to fit in
Voice over! Voice over!!!! Finally!!! Thank you!!
Welcome back, the booth looks good
Thanks dude!
MY DUDE. the cheeky triforce drop in. small world
Good choice in podcasts!
Oh I was waiting for the continuation of the Workshop Build ! Thanks a lot ;)
you can make an alluminium very thin arround the door and screw it into the door, after that between the metal and the wall you can glue old car sealings (like this around the doors) to seal the door
Good job like that a lot
Perfect !
you maaaannn! the king of restoration.

Thank you Luke!
Dude, hello to you huge from the north, from the north of Russia

Remember, think about the amount of people like me learning things from you, each time. Thanks !
Thank you Jonh. I think I'll do the voice over going forward and see how it goes.
You back!!!
I'm back! feels good!
Love your work
Awesome thanks
In the booth at my work we use rubber strips along the door to seal it
Greetings from Russia✌
Heyy Malik!
Put a lip of wood around the door inside the booth and line it with a foam material like they use as weatherstripping on outside doors
respect! keep on the good work!
Thanks dude!

Dude, its about time
Life is hard sometimes Paco, I'm trying my hardest to bring you content as fast as I can I promise you.
May be a rubber seal for the door like the kind you have on a shower door or a bendy one like in a car window?
to seal the inner door on the booth - put a lip around the door, while its open put a fat bead of silicon around the lip. Leave it to dry (without closing the door) and then when you close the door, the silicon will act like a rubber seal
This is a good idea branden. I'll keep it in mind.
Like your video, especially the ventilation, Where is it going to from painting room? and how is it all working out for you now.
Hi Restore It 👋👋👋 good to see you 🤝🤝🤝 very good restoration workshop 👍👍👍
Спасибо, чувак, рад, что тебе понравилось.

Add some type of weather striping to the air tight door hope that helps
Cool idea. that is also how a ceiling falls down on you. Need to look up framing. Awesome build though.
Flicker is due to cheap LED drivers. You should replace these with specified "flicker free" versions.

Thank you Benjamin, I will try this out!
Good work!
If you need to cut acrylic in the future, Bosch makes blades specifically for that.
Thumbs up for the voice over
i love your work
I enjoy watching your videos!
Great job!
Nice booth! Try to use to little wheels in the inner corner of the doors. So the weight will be not supported by the frame, and you don’t have to pull them up.
The cat should get a bonus!
Nice video mate, I've been watching all your restoration vids, absolutely brilliant 👍
Nice work 👍🏻
Would you keep spray booth overpressured or underpressured?
Brings back memories some decades ago building a similar 'simple' booth. Just a comment - but the position of your lights could result in shadow areas down the side of the vehicle. Have a nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.

Thank you crazy8offroad! I will check that stuff out right away.
why didnt you just use like 2x6's to make the roof rafters. would have been much easier and stronger. just curious.
I agree and he should have use adhesive to the plaster board to help hold it up in place, over time the ceiling will sag
I would recommend to use 2x4 for the shelves and roof. Much more sturdy.
@restore it what lights did you use? Do you have a link to them? thanks
Very interesting workshop build, great series 👍
Adorafluffle helper :)

Hi. Nice videos you have. How much money you have spent to this garage project?
The linking lights are caused by the led driver frequency. And the led diods seems to be bad for painting and photo/ video you should get ones with highest cri( color rendering index ) you can buy
loving this content.
Hello a perfect job it’s great 👍 from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋Kai
L shaped strip around door and foam tape strip will seal door
You take many ideas, for my own spray booth :)
What about static electricity? Is that something to worry about?
Hey man i just wanted to say you really inspired me, so much so that i decide to try making videos my self any tips?

Haha thanks Jim!, I will check this out if all else fails with the camera :) Thanks dude.
How's about you seal the door with the weather stripping that's around the car frames?
Hello I tell you I really like your channel I watch videos from your turkey in a very nice step video
Thanks Alaattin!
Hello, what lights did you use?
Thanks
amazing,,im inspired from your work, its great, plz upload the door making video
