Strung Out is one of the few bands I can say has never left me disappointed (Lagwagon is another). After 23 years of being a fan, I think that says a lot.

Yeah bruhski. And every album title is a reflection of the "State Of Affairs" before it even happens. Take for example Project Bluebeam and "Blackhawks Over Los Angeles's"

@@MrMotherfuck123 I don’t think the live performances have really changed. They’ve just never sounded that good live, and I’m not sure why. Though I’ll say, seeing them in a venue with good acoustics makes a huge difference.

I have a tendency to love bands that are more on the "experimenting album after album" side, I'm a bit bummed that Strung Out seems to miss a step sometimes (in regards of the proportions of people enjoying new albums). Actually... I see a similar ratio of like/dislike as with Propagandhi's Victory Lap, maybe a little bit more tbh...

But that's art, right? Bands are going to make what makes themselves happy first, and hopefully we all get it too.

@@guitarpunkcovers I grew up listening to these guys way back and they were my favorite band for most of my life. Strung Out used to have such an amazing colorful sound and now their music is painted with shades of brown.
Dimitrious Devilboon me too. I think they’re just growing as musicians. This was unthinkable for them in the 90s. Plus I don’t want another Exile or Suburban or Twisted, they already did that. They always have been progressing with their music, that’s what made them so good! You can clearly hear it from record to record! This is another step forward
So far both of these tracks suck from the new album. And Strung Out have released their fair share of shitty songs. They are still my favorite band of all time but I don’t think their song writing has gotten better. They peaked at Lost Motel.

I think this finally removes any doubt about the new drummer - he IS really good. While I LOVE Jordan B, as he's one of my drumming influences, the new guy is definitely better live (Jordan tended to rush fills and play it a bit sloppy more often than not). In my opinion, as for the general playing, Jordan adn RJ are technically pretty close, and RJ is emulating Jordan's style a bit on this record.
All in all, excellent job by the whole band. Loving the song and the new album! :)

Also, a good track. I'm a lot more excited about the album now. I'll admit I was saddened when Jordan left and was afraid that it would change Strung Out's sound too much. New Guy does a good job of sounding a lot like Jordan while adding his own personality. I'm a fan
