    Strung Out has changed my life and gotten me through so much throughout the years. Glad to see they're still going strong. There really is no other band like them out there that can perfectly mix punk, metal, progressive elements and infectious melodies so effortlessly. Here's to another 8 albums.

      yes yes yes! exactly! all albums different but not, how many can do that? they just keep getting better and their songs(music, lyrics, energy)make me happy when not, diffuse anger and anxiety, basically anything negative, their music put my soul at ease.

    Well. Personally strung out form me has been basically a good friend to me. During the bad times and during the good times, their music has always been there everyday. Not a day goes by where I personally don't listen an album . I've always had faith in strung out and regardless of the album coming out on time or a few months late the talent, I've always had faith in whatever the outcome was going to be because there has never been a group of individuals so dedicated to making good music that was honest and true. I'm sure that this album is just that like it always has been and so much more. Strung Out for life! Thanks for the many years of hard work and hope to see Ya on the road soon!

    Strungout is the best band still to this day! I started listening to them back in 96 and they still keep getting better! This is one of the only bands you here where each member brings something to the table to make this band so awesome!

    I am pretty sure I have made all of my friends listen to Strung out at some point. I had the chance to see them live last year at Amnesia Rockfest and they didn't disappoint. If you have even the littlest punk rock bone in your body - you will want to check out all of their stuff! Amazing work dudes!

    anyone else think this explains the factions of Fallout 4 (the ones you can join and aren't obligated to work with anyway) incredibly well?
    i mean think about it. the First 'Verse' is the Brotherhood; preaching about how they'll save the Commonwealth from the Institute or (the machine)
    the Second 'Verse' is the Railroad, wishing to help the synths the Brotherhood seeks to persecute and slaughter to freedom (supporter of both Animal AND Machine)
    and the Chorus/Final 'Verse' is the Institute, talking about the inevitability of their conquering the Commonwealth with their synth slaves.

    The dogs
    Layin’ at our feet

    For every bullet in your gun we’ve got plan
    To change the world and make it better
    This song’s for everyone screaming from the pit
    We are the soundtrack
    We bleed together strong
    Nobody here's pretending that we got this figured out
    Some things are better unknown
    We all got something that we feel better let it out
    Before the whole thing blows
    We've all
    Been down this road before
    Our history
    It shows exactly what we're headed for
    Can't save the world but you can always tend the neighborhood
    I wanna live and die for something good
    Emancipate the soul
    Tell your brother he's not alone
    Cuz life's too fucking short to become victims of each other
    We are the story of the animal and the machine
    We are more than just life
    We are serrated by the things we always hated
    So what's the point of all
    The dogs
    Layin’ at our feet
    These battle songs
    Playing on repeat
    Ocean tides
    Crashing at our knees
    As the stranger in us all finds comfort
    Somewhere in the heart of the machine
    Gutter angels played guitar when you couldn't sleep
    You’re the reason you’re the consequence
    You howl cuz you’re goin’ mad
    In the chaos of this consecration a room without a view
    Time will only take from us
    What we knew we’d always lose
    We are the story of the animal and the machine
    We are more than just life
    We are serrated by the things we always hated
    So what's the point of all
    The dogs
    Layin’ at our feet
    These battle songs
    Playing on repeat
    Ocean tides
    Crashing at our knees
    As the stranger in us all finds comfort
    Somewhere in the heart of the machine

      Listen to Sum 41 and Bayside. Those 2 punk bands have fast guitar riffs and solos. I agree that guitar solos are rare in punk.

    • @salvadorvega4800
      @salvadorvega4800 9 років тому +1

      underclassdamnriot not just talking about solos, also good riffing, melodies etc. Guitar solos are pretty common in punk, just not GOOD ones. I will agree that Baksh era Sum 41 had some pretty awesome guitar

    • @underclassdamnriot
      @underclassdamnriot 9 років тому

      ***** if we're talking about Sum 41 with Dave Baksh as a lead guitarist then yes. He's a guitar shredder. His influence is METAL. Listen to The Bitter End, 88, The Hell Song, No Brains, Over My Head, Still Waiting, Hooch, In Too Deep, Second Chance For Max Hedroom. Besides his fast guitar solos, his riffs are also not that easy to play in guitar. His replacement Tom thacker who is also the lead vocalist/guitarist of the band GOB is just as good as Dave Baksh,

      @dustinlebsack1441 2 роки тому

      I like lagwagon but sorry. Strung out murders them musically. They kill it live. Lagwagon I will always love. But they mever really evolved. Pennywise never evolved. Strung out is constantly coming out with a evolved sound

    • @DaDinkler
      @DaDinkler 2 роки тому

      @@dustinlebsack1441 I mean yeah they are more "musical" but that doesn't always mean better. I think the two albums that came out that year were both phenomenal for skate punk. I'd also disagree that Lagwagon doesn't evolve their sound, they don't do any drastic changes but most albums do have a distinct sound, unlike Pennywise who just put out the same album over and over again.

    "Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues" - its been the definitive punk album of all time... It was "one" relentless, raw, unapologetic emotion that consequently began and defined a punk rock movement. What happened to that identity and youth driven vitality? Stupid analogy but It's kinda like when you girl changes her hair style and you ain't as attracted to her as much any more and you immediately think... I just want my girl back... Huh!!! I guess I wasn't as crazy about her as I thought I was. : /
