I work in IT sector in Russia, in summer 2022 the company that I worked for with around 150 employees was bunkrupt, as they were making outsource crypto projects. The project manager from my old company told about me and my colleague to his friend who was a project manager in another IT company, so they immediately offered us a job to make a Russian IT product and my salary almost doubled since then. Now I got IT mortgage in my city with 4.5% interest rate (with inflation around 8% it is like free money), made a really nice renovation, everything is good in my life. After the sanctions, a lot of IT companies that were working in outsource for western companies had to be closed or changed, now there is almost no outsource, only products, and almost all Russian programmers are involved not in working for western projects as it used to be before the sanctions, but are working on domestic Russian IT products which is really nice.

@@ernestoguzman1126 Why would anyone criticize Putin?? He is the best leader in the world Zelensky is a dictator, his term ended long time ago and he refuses to leave
@@thkiwi1 I'll give you three reasons: 1) he has usurped power for more than 20 years and does not plan to leave (dictator), 2) he invaded another country and is murdering people there ,and destroying their infrastructure, 3) he bans or disappears any hard critic within Russia (and has gotten rid of a few out of Russia)
@@ernestoguzman1126 1- He is elected by the people. If people wanted, they could vote on another one. But 90% of Russians love Putin and want him to stay in power as long as possible 2- The US and NATO were the ones who invaded Ukraine in 2014, kicked out the government elected by the people and put the Nazis in command of the country. Since then, the US is using Ukraine to attack Russia and mass murder Russians 3- You must be talking about Navalny. He was a terrorist who organised several attacks, there are videos showing him receiving bribes from US officials to do terrorist attacks in Russia And by the way, the Kiev Nazi regime already tried to kill Trump twice, tried to kill Fico, they are training terrorists in Africa to take down the governments there. And you don't even mention any of that 🤔🤔🤔
When I was in Moscow with My Highness this year, we visited the NATO Forum. When I wanted to explain the German Leopard2 tank to my wife, a Russian soldier came to us! (masked) The first words "Guten Tag" This turned into a really good, relaxed conversation from veteran to veteran! He was in Syria and Ukraine. Me in Yuogoslavia and Iraq 2003/04. There wasn't a single bad word between him and me! Referring to the Germans, the Russian veteran said, we are friends, the problem is politics! Our shared view that war is shit, diplomacy must win! And diplomacy would have won! But Biden and Johnson came with five billion dollars! In any case, I wish you both a really nice life with many healthy children!
a little historical research will be enough to understand that the union of Russia and Germany, a symbiosis of cheap resources and high-quality engineering would elevate both countries... but unfortunately, there are a little more countries and poles of power in the world, and we had two world wars... and nothing is changing, the northern streams have been disrupted...
Another gem in the line of gems that you uploaded and hopefully keep on uploading in these troubling times. Your videos are so inspiring. Hats off and keep up the good work.👍🙏👏
I'm Russian. It's amazing how this guy has found his inner self and peace in our country. I wish him all the best. Our rural life is not easy. Just be yourself and everything will be fine. It may take some time to become a part of the community. Stay true to yourself and people will accept you and respect you. And I hope Dan has already figured out that he can earn money here by teaching English. Even without special education it's possible. On line teaching. Or event there in his town it's possible. Every time I listen to Daniel's story, it resonates with me, A U.S. military veteran of OIF III, as he correctly calls out what is wrong with everything in the US these days. I fantasize about having the courage to one day up and leave as he has done. The current state of the U.S. feels like it is violating not just the social contract it is bound to with citizenry, but also the very core tenets that I volunteered to fight to defend that are now under threat by the very U.S. politicians themselves (freedom of speech, freedom of privacy, freedom of bodily autonomy)

Texas, my new home for over a year, is the largest State in contiguous USA (Alaska is 2.5 X larger). However, (are you sitting down?) Siberia is 19 X larger than Texas!
True, but Siberia is not Territorial Subject in Russia. Its more like geographical area. If comparing states its better to compare oblasts and kray(it is similar to American division of states). So if we compare Yakutsk Oblast(basically Yakutsk Region/ Sakha) to Texas, yes, Yakutsk Oblast 9 times bigger, but if we compare Irkutsk Oblast("state" where Daniel lives in) to Texas it's just slightly bigger than Texas.

I think we need more people like you to show that people are just people, no matter where they live, and that everyone deserves to be happy. Russians are very tolerant people for newcomers, it doesn’t matter what country you are or what colour your skin is, the only thing that is important - behave decently and respectfully and you’ll be warmly accepted. I guess it’s because of our history, since the early days when Russia joined new lands it never imposed its culture on people who lived there they were let to live as they had got used to so thats why Russia is so tolerant to your culture, religion, apperience, be a good person and everything will be fine

When I was in Moscow with My Highness this year, we visited the NATO Forum.
When I wanted to explain the German Leopard2 tank to my wife, a Russian soldier came to us! (masked)
The first words "Guten Tag" This turned into a really good, relaxed conversation from veteran to veteran!
Так и есть, нет ненависти к жителям других стран в России, есть ненависть к тем, кто убивает солдат, к наёмникам с Запада.
a little historical research will be enough to understand that the union of Russia and Germany, a symbiosis of cheap resources and high-quality engineering would elevate both countries... but unfortunately, there are a little more countries and poles of power in the world, and we had two world wars... and nothing is changing, the northern streams have been disrupted...

Hey David! I lived in Orange almost 30 years ago, spent a year there as a teen exchange student , studied at Marina High School. Cheers from Ivanovo, Russia !
Russia is 2.5 bigger than your country
So? Big land makes you feel more powerful? That is all you got?
В Сибири если тебя закинуть на вертолете в глушь ее лесов, то в какую бы сторону ты не пошел, до блежайшего поселения людей будет минимум километров сто, а то и больше😊 Сибирь огромная.

@@Wild-Siberia Wow, thank you so much for your kind words. I completely understand what you're saying, and I'm so happy for you that you've found your happiness in Siberian Russia. I understand the political complexities of a Mexican American who served in the U.S. military now living in Russia. But, for what it's worth, I'm saying this as a Ukrainian-born American citizen who still has family and friends in Ukraine. I think we need more people like you to show that people are just people, no matter where they live, and that everyone deserves to be happy. Like you said in the documentary: "Young people who don’t know each other are fighting for the ambitions of politicians who do," and it's a damn shame. I would hope humanity could move past that... But stumbling upon your story and knowing there are people like you and your new family living in Russia gives me hope for humanity.
I wish you and your family nothing but peace, happiness, and all the best in your journey. May you continue to inspire others and show that love and understanding can transcend borders. Take care of each other!
