Your braid pattern with the "connected plaits " from my childhood helped me to achieve a great crochet style on my alopecia. Thanks for the reminder and the video! 'Ppreciate Ya'!
Girlllllll.... when I tell you I did this yesterday and it turned out bomb!!?!? First time ever crocheting my own hair and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for the video!!
I've watched soo many hair tutorial videos and it never turns out right....but GIRRLLL!! I just finished my hair last night and it looks great. Thank you so much for an easy to follow video
Yesssss my hair grows like wild flowers with crochets or any protective style involving braids. Actually gonna get some this weekend and give my hair a break im excited.
I can’t wait for the hair stores to open back up 😩 I want my crochets back in (I have a hair store who sells the big packs for the low low 😂). It turned out really cute! ❤️
Just bought some of these spring twist and has never crocheted before, so I've been watching videos on how to do them in the most simplest way possible. I believe ive found one to replicate.
This is my first time here on your channel and you've probably heard this a lot but it's uncanny how much you look like Erica Campbell of Mary Mary. So beautiful!
I saw a FB friend with this style and asked about it…she said “I don’t know, we Southern women don’t do our own hair” 😅 Well I’m from Cali so I went right to YT and you have the exact style, SO cute, and SO easy and well explained. Love the braided back plaits, that brings me way back, thank you so much!
Wish I caught your post 3 days ago! I attempted this from another UA-camd but it wasn’t detailed enough for me and I couldn’t get it. This is perfect for I’ll do on next run
Thank u for the video! Ive tried crochet 2 different times once individual and the other with braids to back..&& learned the braid pattern matters! I quickly took them down edges where loose fast I think this will be great for lasting style.
A lot of work was done that was worth it. The length is excellent. I've never had long hair. I am a substitute teacher and my students love to hug me. I also work in a factory. I always by 12" crochet hair that pre twisted or braided and Cuban twist loose hair. I also akways cur my favorite crochet hair, which is ocean wave hair in half. Idk why my beauty supply stores only sell it in 20" packs. I've done two rows of individual plaits around the whole perimeter, then braided the back in a circle. Great for ponytails. Thanks for making this video. The braiding pattern is very simple, yet achievable and pretty.
Well yes! I’m about to do mine right now. I typed in “spring twist braiding pattern” and this is the first video I stumbled upon. I will look no further. This braiding pattern is just what I needed for the versatility I want. Thanks much 🥰
Ooooo ehmmmmm geeeee I cant BELIEVE I spent 7-8 hours doing my passion twist 😩with the squaring off feeling like the longest process... Thank you so much for this tutorial ABSOLUTELY GENIUS!!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I said I would NEVER do em again but Baby listen I’m bouta get it in today! ❤️❤️❤️
Super cute! I saw another UA-camr take the same type of braids out, still connected together, dip them in hot water and they were straight. She said they dry super fast as well.
Right? I thought I was the only one lol I can't braid my hair if my life depended on it, and the way she braided the little bit of hair in the back of her neck? 😲
First off you did a great job. Second you've given me some ideas about crochet braids. The way you braided your own hair in squares around the hair line, because my hair is too thin around the edges but thick in the top toward the back. I have been contemplating in letting someone French braid my hair but it's too thin to be pulled on but upon seeing how you did yours really help me to do mines, thanks 👍😁
I LOVE IT!!!! I am clearly just now seeing this video, but this has been by far one of the best methods for crochet hair I have ever seen, I just ordered the exact same hair from Amazon this past Friday and I am now about to start doing my hair this evening lol
I loveee this! I recently did passion twist but I twisted the hair in. I loved the style but found it really left my hair a bit too vulnerable, exposed and dried out because of the product I used when I twisted the hair in. But this method would definitely protect my hair more. Your version is bomb & I’ll definitely try this method! TYFS 💝⭐️
Thank you for this video. This was my first time doing my own crochet and you made the process so easy for me. My hair came out great for my very first time trying this!
@@CVL219 I did it and let me just say I'm never going back to straight backs again. It came out so cute. Thanks for the idea of doing the whole head. 🤞💗
As a licensed professional I wouldn’t recommend braiding hair wet. Your hair is at its weakest point when wet. If you insist on “heat free” (although a blow dry is not enough to cause heat damage unless you use it improperly) comb it out with a large comb and twist it in sections and let it air dry. You can also turn the heat setting down on your dryer. Stop being so afraid of heat tools ladies. They were created to ease our lives. A comb or brush can cause damage if used wrong. It’s all about technique.
chari johnson-smith I don’t understand that when the hair is wet it’s at its weakest 😩 my hair is so much easier to style and detangle or do anything with when damp! It will crunch up and break off it I do anything with it while dry
chari johnson-smith air dry and stretch hair to me is better for my hair. Get it while it’s wet and twist it for over night and next day style. But to each it’s own when it come to using heat. Again that my on preference
Okay can y'all make up your minds? First y'all say dont manipulate your hair when its dry bc of breakage. Now y'all saying dont manipulate it while its wet bc it causes breakage?
I used 5 packs. Out of the entire bundle I had only 2 packages of hair left. There are 7 pieces in each bag.
ForeverCryssy what kind of edge control did you use
Was it 10 inches or 14 inches?
Pretty
The only female I've seen doing these videos that look pretty on the BEFORE & after.. Some of these female looking rough on the before
This hair is gorgeous ❤️ I love the slay on your baby hair, I need to learn how to do that part CUTE sis
I love the way u got straight to the point
Your braid pattern with the "connected plaits " from my childhood helped me to achieve a great crochet style on my alopecia. Thanks for the reminder and the video! 'Ppreciate Ya'!
Thanks for saying that I suffer from alopecia too and was wondering how would this work!
Girlllllll.... when I tell you I did this yesterday and it turned out bomb!!?!? First time ever crocheting my own hair and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for the video!!
Looks 1 million time better and more natural retwisted
Did this for the first time and you just saved me $200 doing my hair forever now

Love how you did box braids in the front. So smart 😍😍
Yes, I like that, too. Didn't consider doing my hair that way but it makes so much sense at the end.
I am obsessed with crochet. I've had twist, dreads, curls and passion twist 🤩😍
Does it grow your hair good?
@@biancaadams6667 if you take proper care of your hair while protective styling then yes
Yassss. It's so quick and easy.

Such a cute style! You did a great job 😍 love the length
I LOVE your braid down style. I didn't want cornrows nor individuals and this helped.
Just bought some of these spring twist and has never crocheted before, so I've been watching videos on how to do them in the most simplest way possible. I believe ive found one to replicate.

It turned out super cute. I actually like both looks ( the messy pre-twisted and twisted)
I need to try this braid pattern , it looks good and I like the length too, plus it might be better for my edges .
Did she mention in the video what length she used?
My arms started to hurt just watching you braid your own hair, but putting in the hair I was DONE. lol, Guess I'm lazy. Great job!
Right? I thought I was the only one lol
