They actually look very nicely built! ... small magnets though... hopefully neodymium is enough to provide necessary energy... me personally... i could never go for something with such small diameter at that price range... unless you wanna use a sub as well, but people's tastes are different... i prefer a nice heavy forceful kick instead of only soft wooly bass etc. :)

Nah these magnets are huge! Man they are neo drivers... So for that size you will have easely a 600g ferrite magnet

AlNiCo hasn't been in mass use since the mid 1970s. The black magnets on speakers are ferrite (also known as "ceramic"). The main reason for it's success was because the Cobalt price skyrocketed due to pоlitical instability in the countries it was mined (Rhοdesiа, mainly) in the 1960s and 1970s, going on to this day. Also ferrite is probably the most long-time stable magnetic material and due to it's large size it dissipates heat very well.
Quite good for the price. The lower two speakers are subs and have a bunch of iron core inductors but that should be OK. The neo drivers with cast frames and heat sinked are nice. The mid crossover has the big iron core inductor and it the price you pay for a 3 way system and 12DB slopes. To feed the mid range you will need a large value cap for the low crossover point. I cant see the big cap value but foil caps around 60uf are quite large.

HI! 907 Quantum budget model, this speakers in Germany have low price, no 3000!!!But Magnat Quantum 907 very good speakers, but this speakers budget model. In Germany 🇩🇪Magnat Quantum Signature have price 4600-4800 💶. But for butget speakers 907 have very good quality, and good cables.. More companys use very thin cables... 😔But Magnat use good quality speaker cables! 👍
im surprised that a 3000 dollar system wouldnt use t-nuts instead of just screwing drivers into mdf!
Once again, crossover is the poor child in a relatively decent family! In my experience, a few bucks can make a huge difference in quality, if you put it in the right place.

@@Techscrews First, the crossover should have been fit with air core inductors to reduce distortion at high power. They cost more because you need more lenght of wire to achieve the same inductance than iron core or ferrite core. At high power, hysterisis cause a sine wave to gradually transform into a saw blade form due to odd harmonic distortion. Second, the quantity and placement of the damping material doesn't seem to be best suited for optimal sound. But in this case, only playing around could acertain that possibility. In fact, they look so good, I think they deserve attention to the last details, considering the price .

If upgrading the crossover, you need to make sure the new inductor has the same DCR as the old one, or you will get higher efficiency out of the woofers, and slope will change slightly if the inductor is somewhere else in the network.
You should also make sure the new capacitors have similar ESR, or you will need to add a small value resistor. (Probably not a problem for modern components, but good to check).
@@RennieAsh You are right! But my point is why not put 30$ to 50$ more for a pair of good crossover, charge 100$ to 200$ more and have a speaker that will sound like a 10 000$. In fact, they would sell more of them because of rave reviews! Why settle for mediocre when you are this close to greatness? That is what I don't understand.
Add silicone gaskets, the cabinet is very well done and acoustically treated, could improve by changing x over caps too, the rest is rather good, I have 709 s

Скажи пожалуйста свое мнение об этих колонках в сравнении с b&w 603 s3. Обе пары ты разберал и слушал. На данный момент взял b&w за 350евро , есть возможность взять такие Магнаты за 700евро. Стоит ли оно того? Заранее большое спасибо за ответ.
мне очень понравилось b&w 603 s3, но не было одновременно с Магнаты, чтобы выполнить правильный объективный тест. я не знаю остальная вашего системы, но я думаю лучше за 350евро купить DAC, если в данный момент нет DAC. есть ли некоторые недостатки b&w 603 ?

Most mass produced 3k speakers look like this or worse on the inside. the speaker designers get screwed whey they get told the build budget, which includes r/d, and most of it going to marketing. There is probably 300 bucks in parts in this thing, granted they get a huge discount on mass purchasing parts as opposed to us. You can't compare this to something you build, you aren't paying yourself to build it, market it, store it and sell it. You won't save a ton building it yourself but you will have a better product. I used to build custom pcs back when I was a kid and it's pretty much same concept.

The filter was very disappointed for 3k, and the tweeter looks like peerless, but no cavity behind the tweeter membrane for 3k? But big thanks for showing us the speakers

@@ArizonaVideo99 I have Gale 4i and with Vifa tweeter, I drill up a hole in the center and put a pipe out to the backside of the speaker. And the tweeter sounds much better, more control and more relax. And the dipol effect make the sound stage much bigger

@@Techscrews I build a lot of speakers during teenage, I use same Peerless speaker as Carlsson speaker had, but I was not too happy with them, then start to use Dynaudio tweeters, and since then I do understand the differens between tweeter with and without cavity behind the membrane. And if you see most tweeter in upper price range has cavity behind, the cheaper doesn't. So of course there is difference. Like my modify Gale 4i, now I really enjoy listening to them. @@Techscrews Hi! What i ment is that it does not matter how the electronics look like or how the box is built! For me its enough if the speakers sound good! At this moment i have the Magnat Quantum 757 and they sound pretty nice for the price!

не так просто - основным отличием будет фильтр, конструкция корпуса и динамик. Посмотрите в моем канала разборки колонки за $200.
Вообще можно было ожитать худшего, но в итоге ценник все равно сильно завышен

I have the 709. No decoupled drivers. A 10 euro total expense of silicon gaskets, WOULD have done the job, my 709 s weigh 39 kilos each a rather good enclosure, but the horrible configuration used by all german manufacturers, the tweeter in a semi d Add config... c mon I took out mine placing it de coupled on top, also the x over could have been better, I bought mine at 1200 euros sale for a 2000 euros product all in all a good enclosure semi decent drivers semi decent x over, no de coupling---could have been a monster of a loudspeaker, nut no.
My friend have Magnat Quantum 709 pair, I love how they sound, when use they with two amps in bi-amping connection. They sound more then good in very well treated room.

Сборка не впечатлила совсем.За 3к грина тем более.У меня ас 79г и то лучше сделана.Там хоть о звуке думали инженеры,а не маркетологи вечно всё удешевляющее.Ни один мой саб ещё так глубоко не забирался как эти казалось бы древние ящики..да и с детальностью на всех диапазонах там всё ок.А эти магнаты просто не плохо собраны.Да ещё и с размазанным нч диапазоном.

Exept for the crossover lack of sophistication and damping material absence, the quality of these speakers are up to par with the competition at this price point. Some speakers sell for 10k$ and they don't have drivers so pricy (drivers with Alnico magnet are reserved only for the best of the best. Another option is to built your own cabinets and spend months tweaking the crossover to obtain the best sound possible. I did it as a young man, and believe me, that's a lot of work.
Its not 2900 dollar worth, if i look inside. There are better speakers outhere for 2900 dollars. I buy a few months ago Heco the Statements 2ndhand for 1000 dollar, that looks and sounds better then this speakers

@@836dmar well I mean, the wood isn't real, the finish looks beat up, the cloth cover looks cheap. They may sound good but they look like $500.
Kohn Futner I have to say while finishing up a pair of simple single driver MLTLs that the “incidentals” add up and the time and fitting required to make braces fit properly, etc. have changed my mind quite a bit. I’m into almost $500 just in materials and that excludes tools and lots of time and sweat. I’ve had to do no testing nor engineering. If someone would make these for anywhere near $1000 I’d be first in line. In this video a few crossover components could be improved upon but that certainly doesn’t make them junk. The finish isn’t to my taste but the driver frames fit perfectly and I really see no details ignored. Most complaints are about inaudible and/or cosmetic issues. I suppose it’s all subjective so no argument from me. Points taken just not what I thought they would be.

What's inside? CRAP! Any decent speaker, particularly at this price, shouldn't use electrolytic capacitors and magnetic core inductors in the crossover. What other cheesy, cost cutting measures did they hide in this pricey speaker?
