- Teardown - Look inside $2000 Magnat Quantum 709 speakers - stereo floorstanding loudspeakers - What's Inside speakers? Sound and look like High-End class 40kg weight. How to remove grill for home cinema or HiFi music stereo 3-way system setup speakers + How to disassembly & assembly this made in Germany Magnat Quantum passive speaker with 4 driver home audio speaker. They new cost around $2000 for pair. Second hand about $600-$700. These are amazing good sounding speakers, for good second hand price tag. I love how they sound with just 4 speakers. You can get detailed and very powerful sound.

- Tweeter driver MT fmax 4 s 25 ERA 315 400
- Bass drivers MDS 200.8 TMT 315 415
I Also want to try magnat transpuls 1500 speakers or magnat monitor speakers or High end magnat signature series speaker. Next time I upload Magnat Quantum 709 speakers sound and bass excursion test.

Magnat products are useful from budget to premium category.
Magnat&Heco are old, specialized to loudspeakers company.
In the mid and higher priced category they made real good quality loudspeakers, includes good crossover, tweeters, mids and woofers.
Cabinets also good quality, in material and outfit too.

For 2k this seems fine. All mdf cabinet looks to be atleast 3/4 inch thick all around and flush installed drivers. Tweeter looks the nicest of all the drivers and I like that theres 2 crossovers. I would take these over any B&W or Focals with aluminum tweeters.

These are the biggest ports I've ever seen, port to cabinet/driver ratio is just - huuuuumungous
crossovers usually show the real value, take a look at canton crossovers they can go on the wall how pretty they are.. love your videos btw
That's right, especially the older Ergo and the Vento/Reference series. It's also impressive that Canton produces all drivers at home in Germany.
Everything else on the speaker looks top notch. I wonder why they chose to cheap out on the crossover parts. Maybe space saving parts but still?!?!?! Crossover makeover would be the first thing I would do if I purchased these used.
they think no one will open them haha, I open every speaker that I get, maybe thats not a good idea but I have to see what is going on.. see the crossover, build quality, date of built, what filling is inside etc.
If you could buy these cheap secondhand you would only have to invest another €1000 to bring the crossover up to par.

excellent build crossover(3rd or 4th order) is the second most expensive thing after the speakers. Of course not like this one crossover
Nie wiem ,ale zawsze mam mieszane uczucia jak widzę elektrolity w zwrotnicy , poza tym trochę ryzykowne rozwiązanie budowy głośników niskotonowych. Na + lepsze chłodzenie cewki ,ale na - zbieranie kurzu ,a jak nie daj panie wpadnie jakiś opiłek w nabiegunniki, to pograne.
Was the cabinet made from chipboard or MDF? It was really difficult to see from the video...
for that price you can atleast expect mdf or hdf
@@chaeyoungshi You would. But you'd be surprised what price range you have to hit just to get standard MDF. Hence my curiosity with this speaker.

For a complete novice what is the black and white material inside please?
insulation materials such as loose rock wool or using sheep wool.
I have those 709 in piano black. Very good built . I will put silicone gaskets. I have removed tweeters, one had gone, put a pair of decent ones over the cabinet. De couple. Very very good built. Lots of bracing. 40 kilos each. Had they better woofers and mid, they would be perfect !!!!!

True. If has better cross over they can charge a bit more and people would buy it. But modern day manufacturing is all about cutting corners somewhere
how do you compare Magnat Q709 with B&W 603 S3 in sound :)
they haven't been both side by side at the same time, therefore no objective answer. Both for they second hand price sound amazing good, I love how sound BW mid and high. It's british sound :)
@@Techscrews fair enough, in your 603 s3 i noticed different speaker basket, they are related more with 600 2 series. My 603 S3 has new speaker basket, i don't know why they changed, also dust cap is changed on kevlar midrange

Therefore best way is buy second hand for about $600-700 and get best price performance for bucks.
I had magnat 6.5 drivers in my car. They SUCKED. without ampligication they were bottoming out. Swapped to focal

Unfortunately even expensive speakers that have all the right things can still end up performing badly when measured. Anyone can put a bunch of high end drivers in a fancy heavy box with a big crossover. I would never purchase a expensive speaker with out documentation of proper measurements done.
Best way is bought speakers after a/b listening test. What we do.
C'mon, my Edifier speakers that I once bought for 100€ don't have an electrolytic cap in tweeter section and these "high end" speakers don't?

@@Techscrews У Magnat 1105-1109 премиальные модели, а Quantum Signature High-End класс,а эти бюджетные модели, не знаю.. Может у Вас они дорогие, в Германии они весьма доступные. И Магнит используют хорошие кабели, и Вы обратили внимание, какая мощная магнитная система у твиттера и динамиков..Весьма мощная, а какой мягкий ход у динамиков. Поэтому у них мощный бас и детальность на высоком уровне.
@@user-zh7eo2ul2v Поправка: не 1105, 1109, а 1005, 1009 - топовая серия Quantum из новых моделей. Ну а эта модель Quantum 709 - совсем не бюджетная модель (ритейл 2000 евро за пару), а твердая середина. А бюджетный - эта серия 500-ая и 600-ая.

Честно говоря, для 2000$ не так и плохо.В моих Dali Mentor 2 (купленных в декабре 2006-го) мид-бас выглядел примерно как здесь вуфер (магнит чуть больше, в целом - уровень динамиков SEAS Prestige по 60-70$), твитеры вообще говно - не сравнить с этим Магнатовским, им цена по 15 баксов за каждый, от силы - на столько и играли. Кроссовер из компонентов такого же уровня. Но, это были 2-полосные полочники, корпус был в 2,5 раза меньше - а стоили тогда 1800 баксов !!!
Или взять к примеру кроссовер Dynaudio Special Forty за 3000 евро - там стоит 14 элементов такого же уровня, я как-то прикинул их розничную цену - у меня вышло около 30 евро, и это 14 ЭЛЕМЕНТОВ !!!! ))) Цена одного, нормального кондёра на ВЧ.
LMAO dali mentor is not on the same level as seas prestige. If your compering magnet size then you don't know shit. BL is important not a magnet size. You can make very small magnet and if voicoil gap will be smaller like it is in more high end drivers it will have higher force and efficiency and less weight which is plus in pro audio. Seas prestige crushes lots of even very high end drivers. A build on them could easily compete with epicons although I would choose seas 9/10 times
The surround rubber of the woofer under the tweeter is NOT ROUND, on the left Side, at 0:27! Unacceptable production and quality at 2000$!

but you can get second-hand for around $700-800 and then they give very nice price/performance.

Love your what's inside videos but... Magnat & Heco are both cheap manufacturers imitating high-end brands.
Dead cheap electrolytic capacitors, iron core coils and standart cement resistors and you expect sound quality ?
That's not the way to make a high-end speaker, not even close !
And all of those specs are nonsense, totally garbage. No one believes or take Magnat & Heco seriously in the audio world. There are lots of other German brands who are really manufacturing high-end speakers (ELAC, CANTON etc.) Just forget Magnat & Heco, they are all for show not sound quality...
Elac and Canton also not High end brands, real high end brand are MBL or Focal, REL, MCIntosh, Sonus Faber and other. Magnat selll good audio stuff for the price tag. For real High end cables cost more then Magnat speakers.

ELAC & CANTON are definitely high-end manufacturers like the ones you mentioned.
It's clear that you never experienced ELAC & CANTON. Go better try them out before commenting... and be sure to check out the drivers, crossover topologies and cabinet constructions of the upper segment models. You'll be shocked 😉
@@Boorock70 I have used canton Canton GLE 409 speakers and in real objective test smaller magnat quantum 605 sound more better. Any brand have good model and bad. You can't say, that Canon is better than Magnat, both brands have good speakers.
Each speaker is designed according to the target price. If you replace the iron core inductor with a similar priced air core, the much higher DCR would deteriorate the damping ratio. Iron core/p-core has higher distortion of 2-6 dB THD depending on design. Cement/sand cast resistors do not have any meaningfully higher inductance compared to other types and still pretty cheap. A loudspeaker is more than the sum of parts.
A $2000 speaker cannot have parts worth more than $400. This is not your diy speaker project.
@@Techscrews Canton GLE is an economic/budget serie, you have to go higher than that.
Even the B series will kill any Heco/Magnat speaker. And if you decide to go higher A series, Chrono SL's will be much more than enough. Still, there are 2 more levels to go if you have the budget. Spend some time with Canton & hear it by yourself.
