The Cardassians got lucky with Starfleet. Starfleet didn't want an all out war, if they did they would have called in there new Klingon Allies and Cardassia would have been pasted within a week.

Been saying the same for a while.
It would've made sense to bring in the Klingons as a win/win for both the Federation and the Klingon Empire.
It would've cemented the Alliance, reducing the opportunities for the Romulans to break it up. And the Klingons would respect a StarFleet as comrades in arms afterwards.
It would have helped the Klingon Chancellor and governmental, as a good war is important for stability - it gives the chance for glory and gets all the hot heads a chance to piss outwards and not inwards. Disruptive elements are sent to the front to either get killed (the Duras's could always have a arranged glorious death in battle) or learn some discipline.
It would remind all the other powers that when you mess with the Federation (or the Klingons) you mess with both.
It would give StarFleet's more militant members (Admiral Pressman) a chance to flex and argue for more combat orientation, or get taken out if a little too hot headed themselves.
And it would have ended the war damn fast, not only because of the extra firepower of the Klingons, but because the Federation and the Klingon Empire could play _good cop, bad cop._
The Cardassian would _want_ to surrender to the Federation, when there's a risk they could be taken over by the Klingons.
It would be like Germany at the end of WW2, with the Germany's running to the British and Americans rather than risk bring captured by the Soviets.
The Cardassians would agree to a complete surrender to the Federation, when the alternative is becoming Klingon slaves.
And then Bajor becomes Federation then and there as well.
Of course the Dominion arc becomes completely different, it may not even happen till the Federation gets to the Gamma Quadrant the long way … in which case they will greatly overpower the stagnant Dominion.

@@casbot71 Ya, but that peaceful non interference & the lack of public support. The Federation didn't know how to use propaganda & exaggeration to drum up support for what was such a distant & uninteresting event for the average federation citizen.
I bet the Federation could have brought the Cardassians to their knees several times had they committed the requisite resources, but the beurocratic machine kept getting in the way, & they kept half assing it.
Any other power, Klingon, Romulan, would have wiped the floor with them in short order, indeed, the Klingons did just that.

I think how the federation economy works might be slightly different for different worlds but I think on Earth and the core of the federation you get credits and everyone gets automatically enough credits to pay for their food and housing and that goes automatically that you know that you get you know it's based on you know how much what food you need maybe later on you get a replicator but in Captain Kirk's time I think they had stores that you can go to grocery stores still and they do it or maybe they deliver the food it don't anyway and then you have a little back to go to restaurants and I think how someone gets a restaurant is is you have to go to take classes and this and that and then you run the restaurant for maybe 10 years and you don't get you know you don't get to keep the credits you get from people you know but then after 10 years you own the restaurant and then you get to keep the credits maybe you get to keep half level so that's how maybe old man Cisco's got more credits than the average person that's how Cisco got all that African art his son maybe that belonged his father at one time but I think that's how it works but I don't think like the Frankie and other non-federation people accept the Starfleet credits now I think eventually in more outer Outpost they made some kind of a deal where they can exchange the credits for like a quarter of what it's worth maybe latinum or something I'm not sure how it works but but I probably want to be a cargo ship captain you know just running cargo in space cargo ship it might be like 200 m long and maybe you could run it for like 5 10 years and then you'd own it but you still get free maintenance and stuff and I don't think they have folks on torpedoes but I do think they have phasers and shields maybe some shuttlecraft and I think you can get a holiday for them if you want you know maybe one or two holidays and they're probably pretty automated say the say it's the cargo ships I just 100 m long and it carries not that much cargo but it carries valuable cargo maybe or passengers then maybe it would only have a crew of maybe 10 people I think that the civilian cargo ships and stuff and the passenger ships I think they're more a lot more automated I think they can be completely automated by the 24th century they might still have a small staff and that's how they get you know some people become you know I think Cassidy Yates how she got her s*** was May and maybe maybe that ship is made by the federation maybe it's made by the you know the the teller rights or some other you know maybe maybe to tell her right to ship so you might not get a better Earth looking s*** you know maybe you might get a Balkan cargo ship finding Dory and cargo ship you know

The Kulinor does seem to live up to it's expectation of being a rival to the Miranda and Excelsior classes if managed to be around both early/pre Cardassian Border Wars and late Dominion War (not as long as either Starfleet ship but still).
I also see similarities with the Kulinor and both the New Orleans class and the Norway class. Heavily armed light cruisers for fast hit and run attacks meant to not be the very best but good enough to get the job done.

definitely, much like how starfleet had to embrace hit and run against the borg, so did cardassia have to embrace it against starfleet

Would you make a video about the Kardashian invasion of Bayshore was it first contact for major Keira's people how advanced were the the Jordans what kind of ships did they have I think they had impulse ships and I don't think they had a lot of them I think at most maybe they had 10 impulse ships with weak phasers say phasers that was equal to Captain Archer s*** I think they had about 10x level technology but they didn't have no warp drive or no warp they just had an act like it like they make an annex impulse s*** I don't know if they had maybe they had some early form of shields that the major ones had got off the frame here something or maybe they developed those Shields their self who knows but but I think that that would be a great you know story you know what happened how why did or did the Kardashians come at first acting like friends you know tell them the Jordans they was going to update their technology but the cardassians needed agriculture you know land could they possibly have some land you know that they can put a large agricultural thing on and they could use their technology to improve the Jordan harvest you know three five times and maybe at first there was you know maybe for about you know maybe a year or so the Kardashians was nice and but they was getting into place it was making their plan to strike they knew the major and some of the leaders the car didn't trust them and then all of a sudden the vagina started having these prophecies of what would come in wanted to leave and the Kardashians refuse to leave and they started fighting

if you look on the FASA page there's a bunch of postwar designs like the Barkus, Prakesh, Rabol, and Hutes class. none of them perfectly fit the Galor but you really get a sense of more organic, smooth shapes.

I think when the federation says they have no money that I think they mean like physical money I think they have credits and I think you get so many of these credits just for being a citizen of the earth and the citizens of the federation and it won't just automatically goes to your house and food and expenses but if you get a job I can Starfleet or some kind of job that they want then you get more credits but I don't think you have enough to get like say you're on cargo ship so I think what you have to do then is I think you have to take some classes and you know some training and stuff maybe for two years or whatever and then you run the cargo ship for the federation for maybe 5 years and then you own it and that's the payoff the cargo ship but I think you after that you do get like free maintenance and stuff still forever and I think a good car that would be like the genolan type I think they've got many kind but I think the genolan type would be more of a star flick like you know cargo ship or it could be a passenger liner did you know when could take federation citizens to rise and other places so they have to have passenger ships and I think they've got cargo ships too and we just don't ever see them but I think they look like similar to The genome so they won't get confused we'll start but I think there's multiple sides ships like this maybe the largest might be 300 m long and I do think they have phasers I don't think they have photons repairs but I think they have Shields and phasers and maybe during wartime if their cargo ships

Why were the Cardasian ships so much less powerful that the Federation, Klingons and Romulans? They seemed like a very intelligent people so I don’t understand why they were so underpowered in the shield and weapons departments, no cloaking devices either. I understand why the Federation didn’t have cloaking devices but nothing stopped the Cardasians from developing one…was it a matter of resources?

The cardasians were blessed to have Starfleet as neighbours. They have them time to prepare in their boarder war and federation tech also gave them a mark, something for the Cardies to Chanel everything into beating which speeded their progress.
I think that switching to a universal cruiser is good but if you don’t have those smaller raiders then you will be vulnerable to attacks to smaller ships like birds of prey which in groups of even two can match a single universal cruiser due to the lack of interference from small ships giving them freedom to do whatever they want
