First air frying video I clicked on and i looked up air frying replacement basket after 😂😂
I found that making a paste of hydrogen peroxide and either baking soda or cream of tartar, applying it and let it dry, then buff out. It worked the best for me.

Finally My Personal Solution...I have a ninja foodi and last time I tried to clean the air fryer basket, it took days. The grease gunk was so stuck on, it seemed the more I tried scrubbing, the more it just stuck and spread around, without coming off, unless I scrapped with my nails.
After reading up and watching this video, I had it soaking for a couple days, which doesn't do alot, so I just poured baking soda directly on it and dawn on top of the baking soda, then scrubbed with dish scrubber. It wasn't as bad as the 1st time I tried though. Not only did it finally do a great job, it didn't get the gunk stuck all over my brush and didn't take much time. Hope this helps!!

I've been considering just buying a basket as well.
You need to use oven/grill devregeaser and apply it while it's hot
But in general don't let oil build up like that

Soap brillo pad. But heat dryer den put basket back an put baking soda on or in before then put vinegar an let it soak

I just put aluminium foil when I fry food. So I don't have to do a deep cleaning. The basket doesn't get dirty.
Yes that’s also a great idea. How often do you replace the foil?
You realize that literally negates the purpose of an air fryer, right? The air is supposed to flow freely around food. 😂

Sooo mixing an acid and base neutralizes it’s acidic and base properties.... which is useless to clean with.
Yeah not sure why people are recommending vinegar and baking soda. Clearly did not work!! Thanks for the comment.
Add some dish soap to the concoction. The dish soap mixed with the vinegar is good on grease and the baking soda is a good abrasive. Soak for at least 30 minutes

It did a great job on the bottom.
Coke needs to be the original I believe, I could be wrong, I brought up a chrome shower rail battling with a bad case of rust with foil and Coke, worked great.
I’ve heard it works well with rust….and battery acid buildup in your car. Coke was no match for the buildup on the air fryer basket though. Thanks for commenting!
the regular coke is around 1 ph more than coke zero so would work better. The issue here is time, it's not instant or 5 minutes, it's a long process for it to work.
@@GoodSchitt Just a note - Cleaning with coke works, however you need to leave it overnight. Works great on rust in any case. Frighteningly enough, so does ketchup! turns rusty wrenches sparkling new after sitting in it for a day and then lightly scrubbed ^_^
Wash it out with hot water and dish soap after every use!!

What Non-stick coating did you use to cover the rust
Hot water is needed to clean it with that solution
I tried verything BUT just use boiling water and scrub it will come clean unbelieveable

@@GoodSchitt love it!! And mine was so cakes on with nasty schitt (haha) that I did what you did and bought a new one. Living Amazon carries everything under the sun, I didn't even think of a new fryer basket. Since obviously I don't like to clean mine after every use like it should be cleaned I bought silicone liners for the bottom. Look those up too!!! One of my favorites is making chicken thighs in it
@@GoodSchitt Do others that say clean it and take the time to scrub it you must have a lot of time on your hands because my time is precious. I'd rather just buy a whole new insert and start over.

I can't believe that I have not commented that I got silicone inserts. They come to in a pack for maybe only eight or nine dollars I think. I don't remember. But with the new basket it's kind of awesome. You still have to clean out the bottom because crumbs and shit fall through
Can we baked whole chicken without the air fryer basket ?
I’m not sure. There is a small rubber piece at the end of the bottom piece that may affect the taste if it’s in contact with it at high heat for an extended period of time. I would assume it would be just fine as long as it doesn’t touch that part.
@@GoodSchitt actualy sir my air fryer pan capacity is 4.2 litre n basket is 2.9 litre..so i would want to cook whole chicken in the pan so i want to know

@@rajstetward1200 the reason there’s a pan is to let the oil drain into the basket, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem cooking it whole in the basket.
Love this air fryer but grease sticks so badly! I'm trying to clean mine right now to no avail. I've tried Scrub Daddy's special cleaner, along with Dawn Powerwash now.. neither work.. so frustrated!

Nah, bought a cheap replacement (see description for link). It was easier to start fresh and not let it build up as bad…lesson learned!
