    Hello, a difference between the Cab and ROP is how you adjust the Steering Wheel. You showed the ROP model, but the CAB model has a Foot Pedal on Left that you use to adjust the Steering Wheel. Just wanted to add in case someone was curious.

    @Zach Do you think the LX4020 would run a 72 inch cutter with no problem? My Kubota dealer said it would be to big and unsafe because the balance of the machine front to back would be all wrong and it would not really have enough power to cut brush and thick grass. what do you think.

      A 72" cutter should be extremely easy for the LX4020. I have customers run a 6' bush hog with a 25HP tractor, but that does bog it down a little, but a 40HP should pull it with ease. Make sure you have counterweight on the front of the tractor like the loader or weights but I would run one of those with it without a question! It would even run a medium duty with a 2"-3" cut capacity just fine I think.

    How can u change a hydraulic filter with all the hydraulic fluid draining out??

    • @kubotaoflynchburg
      @kubotaoflynchburg  9 місяців тому +1

      The simple answer is to have the next filter ready and in your hand to spin on as soon as the other one comes free. It will still be messy and will lose 1-2 quarts of fluid but that is the simplest way. What a lot of guys will do it use a shop-vac to put pressure on the system and it will reduce the flow of the hydraulic fluid coming out of the filter case. There are multiple videos of how to do this properly if you have a shop vac and want to try that method!

    Just bought a brand new LX 4020 to move snow in mountain resort. Dealership put howes diesel treatment in it and sold me a bottle to treat diesel because the temp is around 0 degrees F at 10000 feet elevation. I have 17.2 hours on the tractor and the thing won’t start. I tried for 3 days finally put 911 in fuel filter and added a little to the tank as per specs. still won’t start. had to tow it through 4 feet of snow 150 yards as the kubota dealership in my area wanted to charge me 8 hours of labor just to drive out to and from my location because i didn’t buy it from them. took it to a kubota dealership in a different state but only 1.5 hours from me. They told me the DPF is completely clogged due to the fuel. SOOO no warranty and no insurance coverage. $12000.00 to fix. the tractor was only $39000.00 WTF! Kubota service and insurance and Sales all suck. They blame it on the other dealerships, no one is taking responsibility for taking care of tractor. Read your manual and warranty and insurance form. If it is fuel related. NO COVERAGE. DONT BUY Kubota! LIARS and Fraudsters. Does anyone have any insight or help here ? Just lost over $20000 on contracts for snow removal. and looks like i wont be getting this tractor back for at least 3 to 4 weeks, even if i pay the extortion money to fix it. and then im sure it will just gel up again and and wont start and will have to go through this all again in another 17 hours. only about 15 total gallons of fuel have gone through this engine 8 of which was put in by the dealer and i only put 12 oz. of howes in the 10 gallons of ulsd i bought from costco. teir one diesel.

      Kubota dealers are really shitty in my experience. Really turns me off to the brand. Howes is garbage. The diesel should be treated from the station if you are up in the mountains with snow. Always use Power Service. It’s designed to work with DPF systems.

      Any update on this situation?

      as of this date Kubota has all equipment back and has agreed to show as paid in full through their in-house lawyer, Craig Dupen. However, they have dinged my credit and show as 90 days late payments on my credit. destroying my credit rating. They still have not fixed this situation and it looks like at this point i will have to file the lawsuit. Kubota is a 23 Billion dollar a year company that doesn't give a crap about its products, customers, ethics. They are fraudsters, liars, complete pieces of shit.

    So the injector test came back and there is metal that is visible to the naked eye in the injectors, all four failed. kubota is still saying it is my fault for fuel contamination. Yet there is no metal in fuel tank or either fuel filter. it has to be coming from the high pressure pump as kubota has had this issue happen before, but they insist its my fault for adding Howes .

      They did a test on diesel treatment additives and Howes actually made the fuel more abrasive. Howes is the worst product on the market.
