Also hank actually singing it would've probably been better, because Dean made it enjoyable by doing a weird music videoesque dance, hank probably would've felt too out of character dancing lol

It’s super important to realize that walt is no longer needed by his family. Up until they owned the car wash, walt could at least say his family needs him, but with skyler operating the car wash independently and pretty much solo parenting, he’s useless now. From a functional standpoint, he’s no longer needed and now has something to prove.

Walt always knew that Jesse was loyal, but his ego is so big that once he realized Jesse could cook without him, he completely forgot about that and only focused on himself, and that’s really apparent in this episode. Also love the detail of the poison foreshadowing for the upcoming episodes, I missed that one on my last rewatch lol
Is that really the case though? Gus was going to kill either of them the next chance he got, but once it was clear Jesse was going to replace Walt, of course Walt would be desperate to stop this. I can see both sides of this, but the fact Walt and Hank were going to die at any minute meant that concern takes precedent above all else, even Walt's ego, no?
It is funny how "standards & practices" works at networks. Much more sensitive about sexual things, too. It's the reason why Vince came up with Jesse saying "I need to check you for a sliz" early this season, because he didn't think a more explicit word would be approved!

So, Bug is going at the top of the list. Dark, ominous, and I feel like it really does reflect the lonely position Walt's left himself in by the end of this episode. My favorite part is the actual lack of any variation of the Breaking Bad melody in response to the typical percussion, which itself is slower than usual, and set to the ominous ambience of the track that plays before the credits roll (during Walt and Jesse's fight). Whether it was Mexico, Germany, Houston (which I just learned is where Lydia's house was story-wise), it was all Albuquerque! 😁 There's one funny detail I just found in Salud that kind of gives away that it's not Mexico...
I always took Walt's timidity when dealing with the Hank vs Gus/Mike situation as being worried they would kill Hank. He knows he has to report on Hank's actions to still be seen as loyal and protect himself, but he worries that he's going to deliver the news that makes them decide to off him.

Hey, thanks for making these videos. I can't watch all of them, but I do appreciate you going back and looking at the show scene by scene. It seems like only yesterday that you were on season 1.
I don't know if you've answered this before, but what show do you plan on doing next? The most similar shows would be either Better Call Saul, or The Sopranos. That's a little cliche in my opinion, I think it would be refreshing to hear about something else. Ultimetly it's your choice, but I'd like to hear about Dexter. I don't see too many youtubers talk about that show anymore, and when they do it's usually " :( I didn't like the series finale woe is me" .

There have definitely been a lot of requests for The Sopranos and at least one other for Dexter, but I’ve got lots more time to figure that out!

Wow, I changed my name from just my company name to my old gamer tag (which his my real name written differently but anyway) + the shortened company name + new profile pic of my car (because I need to boost my ball size digital kappa).
And you actually did use the new name and pic ... this is epic - I could have bet $1000 on the fact, that you would have just used the already created "files" maybe idk or templates unless someone surpasses a special goal like 6 months (2m to go - yeah!) but nope. Full dedication in every video. This is true craftsmanship.
