When i actively correct my 8 week old Cane Corso/Pit Bull mix, then verbally correct her from Puppy biting, she takes it as, it’s more play time !! How do i direct or deflect that “play time” energy/puppy biting, to hey, that hurts, knock that Sh#& off !? Is it my tone to her ? Thanks for the videos and appreciate the help in raising this little beauty..

I gotta say from my experience with my now 13 week old puppy, the collar robot correction is not working. He just rolls on his side and rolls around trying to get me to let go and continues to try biting. To me it seems like this makes him even more excitable, as if he either thinks I'm playing or he is trying his best to show me he is not having it. So I'm basically stuck right now trying to correct him with verbal sounds like ah ah and holding him by the leash keeping him away from my body as I stand completely still. It's not working but it's all I have at the moment to keep him from thinking me walking means it's time to eat my shoe laces or bite the sole of my shoes bc they're moving.

Same. My 4 month CC thinks I’m playing. I hold him still for 5 minutes and he never relaxes. It’s usually when he’s over stimulated or tired. It seems removing myself, since he thinks I’m playing with him and he likes aggressive play, works the most. Sometimes when I leave the room he starts destroying whatever is around so it’s also very difficult. No active corrections work either as they just get him more excited. He loves the pain and is a tough ass puppy.

I am fostering an 8-9 month old that is still doing the puppy biting, but obviously it's much more painful. Would you handle this the same way?

Because he's bored. Canes are a working breed they need a job. Ie walking playing, hunting etc..

First of all your videos are great! We just got a Cane Corso rescue and have had him for 3 weeks. We have been using your method and he heels well, looks to us for direction, and is overall very well behaved. However on the first day we got him my seven-year-old son tried to Pat him on the head and got too close to his ears which are currently infected and healing from time at the shelter. The dog snapped at him but thankfully he got away. He has also done this to me when I was petting him with my foot and didn't pull back after he displayed anxious body language. I think they're correction nipping and not malicious bites but it's still unnerving especially around my kids. He seems to only do it around men and boys. I don't think this falls under puppy biting. Can you recommend a way we can break him of this? Maybe there was a man in his past life that abused him.

Try his training course if you are still struggling, I think he is always very busy for replies, thousands of Cane Corso’s and other mastiff breeds must take it out of you. I hope your beast is starting to behave in your family environment

@@damo8754 he ended up biting my son and we had to return to the shelter. It's a shame because he took to all the other training perfectly. He must have been beaten by his previous owners or something traumatic that couldn't be trained out of him.

@@joepla7949 that is terrible to hear and I hope your son is ok, my pup is 10 weeks old and thinks she’s a land shark. Mainly with my 4 year old daughter, she has long pony tails so we’re keeping them tucked into her t-shirt but she still pulls at her clothes. I’ve put her collar back on and we’re all going to use the lifeless robot approach now as correct and redirect is only half of the puzzle.
Humans are the worst thing to plague the planet, I really hope your son is well and your dog got the training he needed 🥺

I rescued an 8 month old CC. Guy did nothing with her. It’s so sad. Shes sweet so I hope the work will turn her around. She has no manners currently.
No just seems to get her into play mode. She has class soon, but what can I do when verbal corrections don’t work.
