Great recipe. Jack seems to run a very professional kitchen with no stress or drama - just great cooking. Would be fantastic to train with a chef like him but since we all can’t do that, these UA-cam videos are the next best thing. Thanks for making them Jack!
Normally, i hate it when people put music in there vidieos. But i could listen to that stuff all day. Plus, watching this reminded me of the pizza place i hung out in as a kid. Glad i stopped by.
what a lovely family. i think we all fell in love with the man as much as we did watching him cook. damn covid...i was planning on making a trip to east coast and definitely stopping in to taste some of Daddy Jacks dishes. He sure cooks alot like my Pop did, also a chef and restaurant owner.
Miss ya Jack, so glad that people that loved you and were close to you were able to document so much of the goodness you shared with the world. I cook at least a recipe a week that I learned from you.
This looks tasty! Here's my recipe: Dice 3-4 mushrooms and fry in plenty of butter with 3-4 cloves crushed garlic and lots of black pepper then add a can of mushroom soup and heat through.
Jack, tomorrow the forecast calls for rain where I'm at, so I'm definitely trying to make this. Comfort food at its finest. Also a very smart way to not let the mushrooms go to waste! I'm going to use some local shiitakes from North GA. Hope you are doing well, love the videos.
I feel like jimmy swaggert.....I tell people not to watch this channel while hungry as it will be pure torture....only for me to continuously watch this channel while I'm hungry. Tomorrow ill make my "I have sinned" video. My the culinary gods grace me....
Just started seeing your vegetarian dishes Jack, and I need to lose about 70lbs. I just downloaded the vegetarian parm, and now this one. Looks like pretty good groceries too me. Love watching you in action. You make it look easy.
awesome channel..found your chaplinsrestaurant channel way back..and i learned some good food :) can you do a gullash or curry gullash someday ? greetings from denmark
base restaurant technique - keep the dairy separate and the base will keep for days..fresh as a daisy for each service..same thing with chowders for me - still chilly here and this looks to be a good idea ...thanks DJ
Chopped mushrooms-check. Cream-check. Chicken stock-check. Leeks-brillent. But where did the tarragon come from? I have never tried terragen in a mushroom soup but it really compliments chicken stock. Once again you bring something different and interesting to the table and you know I will be trying this recipe. Good stuff as always chef.
Hey Daddy Jack, Dennis from Toronto Canada. I have been viewing your videos for the past few months, and love the dishes! I tried this soup using your recipe, and la famiglia really enjoyed it! Stay safe and keep posting awesome videos!
Hi Dibuche, Nothing better than cooking for your family. I'm having fun doing these recipes, a real good creative outlet for me especially in these times. Good Gravy, Jack
Love your channel. Did the mushroom soup , not exact but couldn't have done it without you. Also French dip onion soup. Awesome! Would like to stop by sometime. THANKS!
Oh, finish in a separate pan and add the cream before serving...extra brandy, fresh mushrooms, green onion. Amazing how such small things like this can raise your cooking to the next level.
Question: how did he get the mushrooms to that stage? How did he chop them? Just with a knife? Food processor? Are they just mushrooms or are there other things in that base? If anyone knows please share. Thanks.
Love your cooking! Rest in peace daddy jack you will be missed
He expired? We could have renewed the bastard!
Missed by who.

Finally somebody who grinds the damn mushroom...a mushroom soup is not just stock/water with pieces of mushroom in it
First time seeing one of Jack's videos. Love the way this guy cooks. No muss, no fuss. Sad to hear he's passed.

I wonder if he's ever grabbed one of those hot skillet handles without his towel? That would roast your hand to a cinder. That soup looked great!!
