As someone almost on the wrong side of 40, I fondly remember the humour and charm of the old UK games magazines like CVG, back in the 90s.
Access always seemed like the spiritual successor to these mags. The in-jokes, the obsessions and constant callbacks to certain games, the quirky British humour which saw people donning wigs and fake moustaches as a matter of course in the working day........ It was all there, present and correct, from the old pre-internet, wild west days of games journalism. And that's why I loved it. Don't change, too much.... guys!

Ha, yeah, I am just on the wrong side of 40 now, and back in the 90s I absolutely loved Britsh game mags, even though they cost quite a bit, given they had to be shipped here to Australia, literally the other side of the planet. And now it's the British gaming UA-cam channels that I love best. To be honest, I've always been a bit of an Anglophile... British humour is simply the best.
I love how both Rob and Dave look completely different, and Nath hasn't change AT ALL.

Nath taking a step back really got me thinking about the possibility that a day might come when Rob isn't here doing his Friday features anymore and that just made me so sad. I love the new gang but the originals are who made me fall in love with this channel.

The channel is changing. The old members are being phased-out, I can feel it. Corporate overlords want the channel to be younger and sexier and more generic, ya know?
@@satyasyasatyasya5746 yeah I feel the same honestly I barely watch access anymore. I get that channels change and whatever to still be relevant and appeal to new people but that also makes it loose it’s original charm.

The pioneers need to rest a bit bit if the tripad of access was gone then i hope it's on their own accord.
@@cozzy4447 I feel like the original charm came from the fact that PS who hired the Access team, didn't think of it as anything too serious or proper so gave the team a lot of freedom. Now however, PS
want the channel to be a lot more mainstream and popular. We saw it with the change to the thumbnails; they look more 'professional' now I guess, but they are way more generic and dull as a result.
The Playstation Access team have gotten me through some of the darkest times. Laughter truly is a cure-all. Thank you for your humor and exuberance, your wit and whimsy. You've created an amazing community and should be deeply proud of the work you've done. Here's to another ten fantastic years! Greatest successes.
It really was one of the less 'corporate' channels. Eventhough it is, it didn't used to feel so obvious like it does now. PS are up to something...
Remarkably well written there. They're a good crew and they've kept at it. Through the quandaries of modern times no less, Id say that's a pretty good standing. They're quite the inspiration, and a good reminder of the fact that there ain't many things better than getting together with those you love and having a good game session.
I'm going to sound like a broken record, but, Nathan, you will be missed dearly. Going through old Access Granted videos makes me realize how big a loss you will be (on camera at least) to this channel and the community.
With that said, I'm very excited to see what Ash and Rosie cook up. The future is very bright and I'm looking forward to watching this channel evolve and tagging along for the journey.

This! I watched Ash religiously on Whatculture Horror and followed her here. Now Access is one of my all time favourites.

I first started watching Access in 2019 so this was a pleasant trip to see what Access was like before then. Was very surprised by how often Rob took his clothes off.

One of the (many) highlights from over the years for me has to be The Christmas Maze - an absolute triumph of a series!! Highs, lows, drama, tears of frustration and laughter, and a big finish at the end.. Loved every second of it and frequently go back to watch it 🥰

My favourite thing from Access has to be the Christmas Maze, was just so much fun.

Of course Nath must do whatever he thinks is best, but I wont lie, I'll miss him on camera. Maybe we can still convince him to come out of hiding for a Let's Play or two with Dave and Rob like in the old days :)
It's so cute how Rosie recognises most of the Access Granted stuff like she basically grew up watching the channel and gets to live every fan's dream by being part of the squad now.
Hey Rosie! I saw you ask the question about the One on Onesie song and I just wanted to say that I was the creator.
Dave was postponing making a song, and he mentioned it in one of the Access Granted videos, saying that if someone were to send something in it might be used. I made the song as sort of a joke. I expected more people to have responded, and also that I wasn't really expecting it to be used. It's really cool to see it being part of Playstation Access, even if it's only a tiny tiny portion.
Man… this brings back so much memories. Access got me through many rough times in my 20s. As someone who loves and grew up with the PlayStation, I’m so, so glad I stumbled upon your videos in UA-cam all those years ago. Your videos never fail to get a smile out of me. Now in my 30s and a dad of two, I still very much look forward to seeing new content. In short, you guys mean a lot to little old me. What a journey. Never stop, guys. Much love from Singapore.
Only 7 minutes in and Rob's circling around a cage with GSP. For those who don't know GSP (George Saint Pierre) is arguably the greatest mixed martial artist to ever fight 😂😂

I found the channel by accident about 6-7 years ago whilst looking for a game channel I could watch whilst eating lunch. Fast forward to the present day, and I look forward to and watch almost every video you guys put up, and intend to do so as long as the channel's going. So much love for Access team, past and present. Here's to the next ten years!
I can't really remember what was the first video I watched, but I know it's been years since I've suscribed to this channel, back when I was in college. Words cannot express how much I enjoy and love this channel and this community, I keep coming back to new content and for sure I watch the old stuff every now and then for a nostalgia boost.
Here's to ten more years, I'm sure as hell I'm along with you for the ride
while access has always been able to evolve and grow with the passing years, i miss the original cast and some of the original shows... I sorely miss the friday feature... it never felt like a weekend without having watched the rob create another of list of what we had caught him doing at that moment...
Such a great trip down memory lane, plus seeing Ash’s and Rosies reactions made it even better. Thank you so much guys for everything and for the past 5 years in particular since I’ve found this channel. You’ve made all of our hobbies and lives better.
Your Xmas letsplays always have been my favourite part of the channel. Nathan the Xmas Elf and the Xmas maze were amazing. The Friday Features are a close second.

After being subscribed for years I've finally hit the notification bell. Isn't that odd though? Yet, after all why not? Why shouldn't I be notified when my favourite UA-cam channel releases new content?

I've never commented on a single video ever, but I've watched access for so many years now, and it's gotten me through some of the hardest times I've ever dealt with. Ya'll deserve all the love and respect. The effect you have on people like us is unfathomable. I feel lucky to have watched this channel grow, and to have grown older with you. keep it up, keep being you, and as we say in New Zealand, Nga Mihi! love you guys so much!

My favorite Access moment is watching all of these colleagues grow up together over the years and share their gaming lives and humor with us. I think just about any fan could tell you how much we appreciate all of your hard work and content. It makes me tear up thinking of all the hours and times I’ve rewatched videos just to hear Rob’s silly voiceovers.
Been watching the channel for like 6 or 7 years now, remembered lots of those clips but I love the videos and streans that come out nowadays just as much. Congratulations for 10 years Access now! love y'all
There’s so many highlights. I’ve been watching from episode 1. I remember waiting for the video to download on my PS3. I honestly put today’s video up there with one of my all time favourites, I love the reminiscing almost as much as Dave playing fruit ninja, shooty shooty gun gun, the Christmas maze, Nath’s parkour, the cribs room tours, the let’s plays, Rob and Holly showing us the strange PS1 peripherals and “we’ll be back right soon”. Thank you all so much for the memories. This channel means so much to me. X
This was amazing, so many great memories. I remember watching the weekly shows on my PS3! Thank you to the whole Access team past and present for the last 10 years, for keeping me entertained and putting a smile on my face when life has not always been the best. This time capsule was wonderful. So many hilarious memories, got me all nostalgic. 10 years is a great achievement for the channel, huge credit to the OGs. Ash and Rosie have both blended in seamlessly and the content is still wonderful on a weekly basis. Long may it continue, love to you all!

It was around 2014 when I was a 13-year old that wanted to find a youtube community of Playstation fanatics like me so when i found this channel it was like finding gold! Aside from gameplay & news-related content, the OG cast with the funny skits every time on Friday Features made my weeks so much better. The humour and the incredibly amazing charm everyone's personality had from the classic 4 to even newer people over the years like Rosie, Elle, Ash and Dan is the reason I still watch Access. Congrats on 10 years guys and thank you for all that you do 💙

It looks like Dave was hired when he was 13 and Rob, going bald for a DmC skit? What a legend. I think the first video I watched was when Dave did a cribs style office tour. I hope you guys always get to enjoy videogames and the culture around them.
I loved watching along with Rosie and Ash. One of the best things I’ve seen on UA-cam in a long time…maybe since many of these clips actually happened. 😏
Dave’s million sub song is still one of the three best UA-camr songs ever made.

Happy 10th anniversary PlayStation Access!!! I’m so proud to have been part of this wonderful journey since I first got my PS4 in 2016! Now it’s 2021, I have a PlayStation 5 and on the Access side it feels like nothings changed! I loved watching all the Friday Features, laughed at the one on onesie rage on Access Granted and cried when Hollie left for pastures new! In terms of my favourite moment: I don’t have one specific favourite, So instead I’m going to say that every video, every livestream, every moment on this channel has been wonderful, memorable, special and to put it simply, they’re all my/our favourites! I’m so proud to be a part of this wonderful community and I wouldn’t miss it for the world! Thank You Rob, Dave, Nath, Rosie and Ash! (Also past members Hollie and Elle) for 10 wonderful years and I can’t wait to see where this Access team and Community goes next! 😊🎮🏆🎉
I'm along for just half of this time. The video that sold me was one Friday Feature where that was a scene of Bioshock Infinite, of Elizabeth throwing books, and then suddenly cuts to Rob getting hit by one 😂

I know the number of videos Dan appeared in is definitely far less than I think it is, but it would have been nice if anything he'd been in had been included in this.
I can't believe that was a 28 minute video. It flew past too quickly and I wanted more by the time Ash and Rosie did the goodbye wave.

I wish I remembered what video of yours I watched as the first one, about 5 years ago, but I can only thank YT's algorithm for that. I do remember going back though and watching most of the backlog. Rob is just the best isn't he? i love him so much and all the things he has done. I've subcribed for years and love you guys through all of them, i wish i can give more than just one liked in this video to show how much i appreciated you guys. It was Nathan's soothing voice that got me hooked on Access Granted all those years ago~ I also bought a PS4 because I wanted to part of the club ^_^

Thank you so much for entertaining me over the last 10 years. Crazy to think that I was 11 years old when this all started. There is so many great moments, however if I was to choose one it would be when I got comment of the week in Access Granted. I wish the Access team the best for the future. Too many good moments to call one as my favourite. One that comes to mind as being up there is on the episode 'Access Granted: EGX Fails and Guitar Heroes!' when Nathan reads out a comment by bradley cole (In a very dramatic way), gives me chills everytime. Thankyou Playstation Access for all the memories.

I jumped in during the era around the 20:43 mark. I originally found the channel while perusing UA-cam for E3 content back in 2015, then found Rob's Friday Features, and it wasn't long before I was an Access Granted regular. I had a comment read on the show once! Making 301 club was tough, because I'm 6 or so time zones away in Texas. I think I made 301 club once, but it was on the last episode of Access Granted, so I sadly didn't get a shot at 301 club king.
That intro music is quite nostalgic for me. Please use it more.

You guys don't know how much your channel means to some people. You have made me laugh and cry and I've come to love every one of you over the years. Going through all of that old content and remembering watching many of those videos improved my day exponentially. Members have come and gone but we still have amazing memories of their time here. I so look forward to the years to come with all of you and maybe one day we can get Hollie, Elle, Nathan and anyone else who's moved on to pursue their dreams at that point back on the Access sofa for a type of reunion special with all the current members of the team. Keep up the amazing work everyone.
