I’ve been using the Xvive wireless for a couple of years now. Biggest issue outside of interference between units is battery life. At first I got excellent battery life such that I was not concerned about performing with them. Now I will only use them for sound check. Both BOSS and XVIVE have issues with active pickups. BOSS’s solution is a separate unit for active pickups. The Xvive units disable the internet in my home when used close to the wireless router. All wireless devices have risks associated with interference in the 2.4 GHz band. I suppose the next generation devices will migrate to 5Ghz but that will impact range.

Channel's looking very slick m8. Great editing and top review and demo. Maybe it folds that way to protect the top of the unit when it's on the guitar? Home use I'd say so you're not going to worry too much about running low on power on stage and having to check the power light all the time. You should have more followers Lando. What's wrong with people?
    Keep 'em comin'.

great demo lando. {?} for you the b-5rc , does it have/ need channels to choose from, as in the b2, and most all others? thanks....

I play in the church before the mass, then sit and play again after 45 minutes.
The mixer sits away from me and no one sit next to it.
When I play again after 45 minutes, the unit that’s plugged in my guitar already went into sleep mode, which I’ll press on it to bring it back to life.
Fir the unit that’s plugged in the mixer, do I need also someone to press on it to bring it to life, or will it detects that the guitar side is active now and connects back?

Hey there! I think there’s a good chance of a busy pub/club having a lot of devices using the 2.4 ghz band and possible interference from that. That was all! Take care!

There seems to be a difference in impedance between the cable and the wireless. It is more noticeable when you use distortion. What I am hearing is that the cable seems to send out a much stronger signal, which is over-driving a lot more compared to the NUX. Also, the NUX sounds to me like it has just a bit more top end. Or maybe I'm just imagining things. I'd have to try one out and hear the difference.

I definitely didn't notice in the room, I'll have to go back and listen again to the recordings. take care man and all the best on your channel for 2020!

@@landonbailey It's an incremental difference, but it is noticeable. Not a huge deal though, very typical of wireless systems. Thanks dude, and I hope you enjoy your holidays! Cheers

I have a stupid idea. Talk to Nux and see if they will give you or maybe loan you a bunch of these and see how they'd work in place of patch cables on a pedal board. It's stupid but also brilliant.

    • @landonbailey
      @landonbailey  4 роки тому +1

I don't think they'd be up for that lol. But maybe I'll see if I can use the Xvive U2 and this together

The rubber tip is for a good fit in the charger box so it won't move around in the box...
And the 2.4 is not bad at all.. it automatically and constantly searches for the most clear channel ...
Also... You can mute the transmitter before you take it out of the guitar so you don't get that kkkkkkkxkxhhhhkkkkkhh noise.
    ✌️🤣

Pro... The case is a charger at the same time.
Cons... It flips the other way, there is no sense... Bad designed...
