I saw someone say it’s like comparing a playscape to an entire theme park, and I think that’s truly the best way to describe it. Squid game is a fantastic story under a microscope focused on a single concept in a world that we already know; whereas Alice in Borderland is such a vastly complex concept that it’s unable to be put under a microscope because it’s existence surpasses human understanding, to the point even citizens there don’t fully know how they got there, why they’re there, or where they are even at.
Edit to add: Squid Game is also more of a political statement piece, emphasizing the iniquity of wealth, whereas Alice in Borderland is more of an existential questioning piece, designed to provoke the audience in a way that highlights the ambiguity of life’s meaning, and our individual purposes. Squid Game makes us reflect on other people’s choices, whereas Alice in Borderland makes us reflect on *why* we make our *own* choices.

The thing is, squid game is about bunch of bored rich old folks that wanted entertainment. And the player are basically willing to participate in the game. The game isn't that much well interesting and easy to beat.
