I just bought a new Mossberg Maverick 88 here in Anchorage Alaska USA, at one of the local stores and the price was $299, I bought it last week, and I'm very happy with it, it is an excellent shotgun, I love it. Greetings from Anchorage Alaska USA, your friend, Dr. Duarte. MD.
I recently purchased an SDS tokarev Hammer 12 gauge pump action shotgun that uses Mossberg stocks and four ends with a bolt system similar to Remington 870. It accepts many Custom features made for Mossberg. I paid $150 for it from Bud's gun shop.
I got a Ted Williams shotgun at a gun shop. They were made for Sears by , I think, Savage. One of the smoothest shotguns I've ever felt. It was about $150. The old Sears shotguns are cheap and great guns. Watch to make sure they work. They are 70 years old or so.
9:44 - Remove stock by removing rear-facing screw under the shell carrier. Take off pad and use extension to remove stock screw. They sell an 870 stock adapter for $25.
To remove the stock, you take the recoil pad off to reach the bolt. Mine came with a pistol grip option a short and long bolt andthe allen wrench along with three choke tubes.
To take the stock off there is a phillips screw on the front side of the buttpad. It's hidden in. Remove the buttpad and the bolt is inside.I just bought a shotgun with that stock and removed it. The shotgun will take a 870 stock but you have to file down the rib at the end to make it fit flush. There are adapters for the Turkish shot guns that make it fit better, but they are hard to find. They have the magazine extension kit on the GForce arms website.
I just came across your channel and subscribed instantly. I've been a guitar gear horder for years, and recently began collecting firearms! It's an amazingly similar addiction. And I'm all about "Bang for the buck" in both cases...

It's insane how cheap guns are over there... Here in Brazil it's several times pricey than in USA.. And you can't import them...😢 Basically a basic gun is worth a monthly salary... And double it for all the documentation with the government...😢
At least you got your rights to own them back! That sucks about the cost and red tape, but grateful you have the option. Most counties it’s banned entirely.
one day your country will be free again. now if only we could stop the turning of the USA into a non free country. ( got to watch what i say as some out there have problems with the truth being told).
I paid $167.00 for my Pardner. I added the extension and polished the internals. I put four large ports right behind the brass bead front sight. I filed the magazine front to allow for smooth shell insertion without cutting the palm. I also ground down the receiver to allow for speed loading. I modified the loading gate for ease of loading and polished the feed ramp and the beginning of the barrel. And last, I added a shotgun red dot optical and sling.
I have not followed the shotgun market in awhile, but the last shotgun I got was a Hatfield SAS12 for $214.83 in 2018. Pluses: This is a semi-auto; you can extend the mag tube, as-is it's 4+1; 3 choke tubes incl; 28" bbl; gas/inertia operated. Takes some "breaking in".
Not sure what they're going for these days, but the Stevens 320 is a pretty good budget shotgun. Have bought one or more just over $200 , but have a couple I got for under $200 ...
Yeah those are excellent guns as well. A clone of the Winchester 1100 I believe. The price tends to hover between $200-300 these days. Still an excellent value for what you get!
I agree. I bought a Stevens 320 tactical with sights, not the bead on the front of the barrel. During the 2020 rush to buy a weapon, I was really looking for a Remington 870. The sporting shops all laughed because there were none to be had. At least not a new one. Gun shops were selling high priced AR and AK variants, but I just wanted a shotgun for home security. (I am a paralyzed veteran and don’t hunt anymore) My mechanic pointed me to the shop where I bought my 320 and put in a good word. So, I got the 320, a decent soft carry case and two boxes of shells for under $200.00 USD. It is a decent shotgun, but I had to upgrade the mag tube follower because it was made of soft plastic and it wore out and was getting sticky in the tube. The new one was a bit longer and very slippery. The original follower would cycle the shells once the tube was loaded. But loading it was an exercise in frustration. They have to cut corners somewhere to make a profit. Backed by Savage Arms, these are a good choice. The 320 ate everything I fed it. From mini shells to 3” magnum slugs. All different brands of shells from Russia, Turkey, Italy and whatever you could get at increased prices. I still have one box of Wolf brand 2 3/4” 00 buck 10 rounds for $40.00. Around 2022 ammo was cheaper and more plentiful.
The closest thing to "value" in a semiauto shotgun you can trust your life with as well as running shells other than double .00 or slugs reliably well are the Beretta A300 and Mossberg 940. The Turkish semi's are all over the place quality wise. Watch James Reeves shotgun burndown videos on TFBTV. They're fun to watch but also quite eye opening.

@@bjellison905 I have about 100 rounds of bird shot through it from shooting clays. Admittedly that's not a heavy load, so it's not receiving as much impact as if I were shooting buckshot or slugs. So it hasn't seen heavy use yet since then. Time will tell.

Look into the blue line solutions bl18! It’s a clone of a 590 (iirc) and everything but the barrel is interchangeable. I got mine for $150 early this year and have since put just about 1000 rounds through it. Honestly came out of the box with a smoother action than my maverick 88 lol. Going to order another one beginning of next year for a new build
Well since you asked yes I do know of another budget 12 gauge Turkish shotgun under 200 that should be on the list.. Which is the Ermox XPRO B-12. I just bought one and it's phenomenal.
i agree about wanting at least 6 shots for home defense. best part about a shotgun is being able to make your own shot. in my home at night, the shotgun will always be my first choice. P.S with LEAD shot.. lol
The best "Made in Turkey" 12ga pump action shotgun that you can buy for under $200 is the Fed Arms FRX/FRN shotguns (FRN is regular stock / FRX is pistol grip stock) - hands down! These are by far the best budget 12ga shotguns that I have ever come across that have come out of Turkey.. much better than the Mossberg Maverick 88 and 500..and in my opinion they are just as good as any Mossberg 590 or Remington 870 on the market!! They are smooth bore and they are NOT threaded for chokes (the only downside) but they are fantastic, extremely durable, and very reliable shotguns. I have been after James from TFB to try to get one of these Fed Arms shotguns for his "Burn Down" torture tests. as I am confident it will pass ANYTHING you throw at it.. not even the hottest 3" Magnum slug rounds will beat these shotguns to death!.. and they will feed and run EVERYTHING! They are very hard to find now.. and there are only a handful of videos on UA-cam of the Fed Arms shotguns.. and I think most people probably passed them by when they first came out thinking that they were just cheap Turkish made junk and especially since the price tag was like only $189.. but those who bought one know.. it just might be Turkeys best kept secret! - I have the Fed Arms FRX and it is a work horse of a shotgun.. and I am NOT saying it is the BEST shotgun in the world.. but for a cheap 12ga pump action shotgun in a cheap polymer butt stock and fore end under $200.. you are NOT going to find ANYTHING better! - Take it from someone who has bought over 20 different Turkish made shotguns.. Panzer Arms.. Laser Arms.. Hatsan.. Stoeger.. Hunt Group.. Canuck.. Charles Daly.. Sulun Ams.. Derya.. TriStar.. and the list goes on.. the Fed Arms FRX/FRN 12ga pump action shotguns are just FANTASTIC.. and if you ever get the chance to buy one.. BUY IT!.. you wont regret it. Also.. if you own several different Turkish made shotguns like I do.. you will find that a lot of them will all share the same furniture.. so you can put the Fed Arms in a Turkish walnut wood stock and fore end.. or a tactical AR style folding stocks and pistol grip fore ends.. even a pistol grip/birds head grip! - and you can interchange many of the parts with your other Turkish made shotguns and customize it however you like. The ONLY thing that I would like to do to mine.. is get the barrel threaded for chokes.
I had a maverick 88 I could put that barrel on my mossberg 500 but the mossberg barrel wouldn't fit the maverick bc it has a breather. I believe you can interchange the barrels between the 2 I know for a fact you can bc I would use the long barrel on my 500 when bird hunting.
Love a good shotgun video, thanks! Seriously considering the Mav 88 since it's in stock at my local Sportsmans, currently for $230, which is still a killer price for a Mossberg! But I do see that Gforce is on sale right now for $99.95 on J&G! That's nuts
If your going to get the Maverick 88 get the security combo, I just bought 1 at sportsmans for $260. You get a 18.5 barrel for self defense and a 28 inch barrel for hunting.
Wow really? Thanks for clarifying, I was under the impression that they were not interchangeable. I guess I should have fact checked myself first, I hate giving out misinformation.
@@GunsandGuitars no problem I happen to have bought a 88 security model (7+1) and swapped it to the a 500 security\field combo (5+1) . It's been a few years and they both work fantastic the only thing is you have to swap the magazine tube for the obvious size difference.
That would be fun! I think there’s more than a few under $300, and maybe even a couple under $200 but I don’t have experience with them yet. I’ll see if I can get my hands on some
Question?.. Is there a special accessory item that you had to purchase to shoot the mini 12ga rounds that fits inside the chamber???? Or do the guns just accept and cycle the mini rounds out of the box?? I'm kind of confused??? Also, could you do a complete detailed breakdown video on these guns to show a person new to the purchased one of these a how to video??
Nothing special needed to shoot the mini shells, they are designed to work in most tube fed pump shotguns (that’s why they were developed, to add capacity). Not all pump shotguns work well with them, these 3 in the video certainly do though.
A company called OpSol has a thing called mini clip and it's for your mini shells if you have a maverick 88 or mossberg you want to buy the mini clip, easy to install and take off
What do you think of the Hatfield 12 gauge auto loader shotgun my wife is very adamant about getting one and she's set her eyes on this she's 5'4" an the shotgun is almost as tall as her. Well she bought it and even though it's as big as her she handles it very well I was very impressed. But I should have expected that since we are both MIDWEST born and raised. And she grew up on a farm and she loves her knew shotgun but I've never heard of Hatfield FIREARMS before.
I remember many years ago, I had the option to buy a Remington 870 or a Mossberg 590 for $300 as my first shotgun and I chose the Remington… I still kick myself to this day
I bought an 88 with the folding stockand despised the stock....when it folds over top the gun its crooked and non-uniformity on a gun drives me crazy....so i bought a conventi9nal stock of ebay and replaced the folding stock with the conventional stock....im much happier with the 88 now that it has a regular stock.

I used to own a Mossberg Maverick and as far as I'm concerned it is as good a shotgun as any $500 gun. It never failed to shoot or recycle. Just a all around good gun..
Started out with cheap budget guns and thought they were great. They run for awhile, they hit the targets with decent accuracy and they look ok. Then I got ahold of top shelf firearms like Korth, Sigs, Binellis and Custom rigs. The difference is notable and significant. Mastering bottom shelf guns allows you to easily handle the best firearms available. My PSA is a good AR but my Daniel Defense ddm4 V7 is superior in every way. My Extar ep9 pcc is great but my Sig Rattler is a masterful creation. The differences are vast. The sub 200$ Dickinsons are absolute garbage. The sun $200 shotguns of any sort are not good. But I do carry G2 and GX4 in my rotation and they were sub $300 and my G2 has ten thousand rounds through it easily and still runs like a champ. The Maverick is ok but step up to the 500. The Mav is a 200 series. I’ve built a 500 persuader 7+1 and added an Archangel tactical grip and adjustable stock, aluminum follower, aluminum safety and a receiver shroud / warhammer heat shield. Turning this $250 shotgun into a $650 battle ready monster.

@@bjellison905 I have about 100 rounds of bird shot through it from shooting clays. Admittedly that's not a heavy load, so it's not receiving as much impact as if I were shooting buckshot or slugs. So it hasn't seen heavy use yet since then. Time will tell.
Bluline pump PD 18 is the same as your pardner. A hawk 981 under another name. 200 on classic. Palm sells stevens 320 for about 150 and tfb tv did a 500 rd burndown on it and the MAV.
Barrels for the Maverick are absolutely interchangeable as long as the magazines are the same lengths
Sorry I didn’t specify, they aren’t interchangeable with *mossberg 500 barrels
@@GunsandGuitarsthat’s weird cause I have a Mossberg 500 18.5” barrel that I put on my Maverick as well as a 500 Turkey barrel I use on my Maverick as well.
The fore ends aren't interchangeable but the barrels are
Bro they are interchangeable@@GunsandGuitars
It was probably still in his shop because it had a LONG barrel and we remember why Ruby Ridge happened.
Modifying a gun
The Maverick 88 is made in Maverick Texas. Not Mexico. Close but not.
Savage Stevens 320. It's a Winchester 1300 clone at $175-$200. Great shotgun. How about doing one on semi autos?
Do they make a 410?
@@dorifergan58 I don't think so. I believe they do make a 20 gauge though.
Poor machining, rough action and unreliable
@@klj2382 Doesn't sound like mine. Sorry yours is so rough.
Maverick 88: When Named, it was 1st assembled in Maverick County TX and went into production in 1988.
You are correct!
The Maverick is made in Eagle Pass Texas. In Maverick County Texas.
You didn't add in your description where to buy this shotgun for $120.
Rossi Tuffy youth. Best truck gun ever!
Well since you asked yes I do know of another budget 12 gauge Turkish shotgun under 200 that should be on the list.. Which is the Ermox XPRO B-12. I just bought one and it's phenomenal.
I got the maverick pistol grip. Best bang for the buck just my opinion
I just bought the G Force on PSA for $109. THe new version has pic rail on the bottom front of the pump for a light
i agree about wanting at least 6 shots for home defense. best part about a shotgun is being able to make your own shot. in my home at night, the shotgun will always be my first choice. P.S with LEAD shot.. lol
Turkish, Ermox Xpro-B12
Picked this one for 99 usually 120 more or less
The H&R was built in the Norinco Factory in China where they literally build tanks it's basically a tank in shotgun form.
Yep. People should def not underrate stuff that comes from the norinco factory. They make everything
The Norinco 1911 was one of the best. They were used as the base for a lot of custom guns. And the 97 Winchester clone was nice.
I have the Fed Arms FRX and it is a work horse of a shotgun.. and I am NOT saying it is the BEST shotgun in the world.. but for a cheap 12ga pump action shotgun in a cheap polymer butt stock and fore end under $200.. you are NOT going to find ANYTHING better! -
Take it from someone who has bought over 20 different Turkish made shotguns..
I have a Maverick 88 with a chopped barrel and a vent rib... really helps with getting on target
And remember the Opsol block for running the 1 1/2" shells. Capacity increases to 11 or 12, less recoil and less chance to overpenetrate. Shoot safe.
On sale for $99 at J&G right now!
Love a good shotgun video, thanks! Seriously considering the Mav 88 since it's in stock at my local Sportsmans, currently for $230, which is still a killer price for a Mossberg! But I do see that Gforce is on sale right now for $99.95 on J&G! That's nuts
If it were me, I’d buy both…clearly 😂
I have one with a pistol grip but I recommend you get one but one with a stock.
If your going to get the Maverick 88 get the security combo, I just bought 1 at sportsmans for $260. You get a 18.5 barrel for self defense and a 28 inch barrel for hunting.
Get it ! I have no complaints ! It's reliable !
Get the combo I just bought one for $249.00
That's a super inexpensive shot gun. That's kinda tempting!
Just to clarify Maverick 88 and 500 do share barrels, I've swapped multiple barrels and magazine tubes from each other
I just bought the gforce but mine is army green n black n got it for $150 n it's awesome
G-Force on sale at J&G for $99
Nice guns, bro. Im had one like that, but from Turkie. With love from Ukraine to US,🇺🇦🤝🇺🇲
My GF2P did not come with rail hole drilled out.
Great video. What was the mount and optic you used on your Gforce?
Following! Id like to know as well
Best auto loader for the money next? Currently running the baikal mp155 and it now cycles low brass.
That would be fun! I think there’s more than a few under $300, and maybe even a couple under $200 but I don’t have experience with them yet. I’ll see if I can get my hands on some
“Chinese” and “high quality” should never be used in the same sentence
iPhone.
Love my mosburg 500!
J&G sales are going to run out of these because of you!
You forgot about the Canuck linr from Turkey. I am still impressed with my Regulator to this day. It was $200 CAD back in 2018.
I got a HATSAN SLUGGER ESCORT , have not shot it yet .
Same here! Got it to shoot dragons breath and dragon slugs! LOL
The Maverick 88 does allow barrel swaps.
Take the stock pad off the force and that’s how you take the stock off, also there is a spacer in the tube take it out mine fits 6+1
1:51 That guy is extremely smart. The internet can be a Stupid and Frustrating place. Real Life is 1000 times better.
He’s one of my favorite people. And reliable as hell.
My local Northern Virginia gun store has the Gforce for $268 (with extended magazine) and the Maverick for $286.
Great video. Will the less lethal byrna shotgun shells work with the maverick 88?
My buddy has a gforce. first time at the range the front sight launched itself into oblivion. It ran okay but definitely get what you pay for quality
Amazing intro all my goodness 0:56
Can you tell me what optic and dove tail adapter you have on the Gforce?? Thanks for the videos!!!
Was there an answer?

Finally someone that don’t think that unless you but a $3k+ gun your a real gun owner it’s like Walmart clothes they serve the same purpose as Gucci
A company called OpSol has a thing called mini clip and it's for your mini shells if you have a maverick 88 or mossberg you want to buy the mini clip, easy to install and take off
Can you cut the barrel short if you want to???doing that it doesn't cut the accuracy of the gun???
What do you think of the Hatfield 12 gauge auto loader shotgun my wife is very adamant about getting one and she's set her eyes on this she's 5'4" an the shotgun is almost as tall as her. Well she bought it and even though it's as big as her she handles it very well I was very impressed. But I should have expected that since we are both MIDWEST born and raised. And she grew up on a farm and she loves her knew shotgun but I've never heard of Hatfield FIREARMS before.
I remember many years ago, I had the option to buy a Remington 870 or a Mossberg 590 for $300 as my first shotgun and I chose the Remington… I still kick myself to this day
Guns and Guitars!! Best damn click bait channel name I ever heard!! Subed!
There is a 1-2 shot magazine extension available
Maverick 88 is a infamously famous shotgun for how reliable it is as a shotgun for the price!
It’s basically a even more affordable mossberg 500
How do you haggle?
what adapter did you use for the optic on the GF2P?
I bought an 88 with the folding stockand despised the stock....when it folds over top the gun its crooked and non-uniformity on a gun drives me crazy....so i bought a conventi9nal stock of ebay and replaced the folding stock with the conventional stock....im much happier with the 88 now that it has a regular stock.
Can you change the entire magazine tube on the G-Force (3rd) shotgun I wonder?
I didn't know the shirt shells worked in the Maverick. Had a pawn shop say it didn't.
Do they not make a mag extension for the last gun at all?
They actually do! I gave bad info on this video. I have an updated video with some upgrades for it.
Great looking gun for that price point
Not shotguns but there are quite a few .22lr guns that are less than $119. Heritage makes a lot of them.
Just a note, but your timestamp for the H&R Partner Pump says HK Partner Pump.
Wow, Guns and Guitar. You Sir is living my dream life. I adore both stuff, also like motorcycles I rode as a child. I have few guitars, had a .22 rifle and a double barrel shotgun at home. Also saw Family ride Honda CB250, Yamaha RX135.... awesome motorcycles for India. Now I me some of that, Maybe .32ACP revolver & a .22 pistol and a 410 shotgun. I love em Paf PRO pickups Awesome Stuffm
The problem with G-Force it has only two types of stock one folding and fix in the length of pool cannot be changed
I used to own a Mossberg Maverick and as far as I'm concerned it is as good a shotgun as any $500 gun.
It never failed to shoot or recycle.
Just a all around good gun..
Gforce now $99 on J & G
+1 for the Mav 88 !
Right know the gforce gf2 is on sale for the 4th of July for only 109 like wow going to order one
PSA has that G-force for $99. I got 2 and they are a way better quality than you would think for the price.
I agree! You should watch my latest video where I add some cool mods to mine!
