I didn't even understand its not u it's me
As a foster mom with lots of different hair textures in my house, I really appreciate that you give product recommendations for both straight and coily hair
This was by far the easiest to understand feed-in braid video. You explained it so clearly and the pink extensions really helped see and understand the method better. Thank you so much! Feel like I could actually do this now!
I've been a hairdresser for almost 19 years, and I have to tell you, I STILL have a very hard time braiding other ppl's hair.... I can do all kinds of braids on myself, but could never quite master doing it on others. Sooo frustrating. Can anyone else relate? Lol
Me!! I relate! I can do intricate braids on myself without even a mirror just by feel while sitting in bed watching t.v., and my best friend I think almost doesn't believe me when she asks me to do her hair and I just can't get it the same on her! Working on someone else's head just doesn't feel the same to me and I CAN'T explain why but I get sloppy and lost!
I’m the opposite I’m good at doing hairstyles on other people but I can’t do anything on my own hair
Other way round for me, can braid other peoples hair but no chance on myself 😭
I'm the exact opposite. I can do great braids on others but on myself 😅... but I've been working to don't better on myself. I can french briad my own hair but I have to really think about it while I'm doing it. Lol.
I can do my own braids and they look very professional but when it comes to others I can't seem to do it.
Lovely did this for my neighbor and omg she loved it. I'm just hoping her mother don't think I'm ms hair stylist because ummm she may be in for one of those ruin awa.... excellent job.
Lol I feel you! 😊❤️😂 That’s work right there for folks to be mistaking you as a stylist! ❤️❤️
You're such a good instructor!
Aww thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Totally Agree!
Marneen Carter thank you kindly! 😊🙏🏽
“Cart before the horse” Talk about tellin OUR age! That phrase flew right over your younger viewing population’s lil-ole-young heads!😩
I’m not sure how I feel since I DO recognize the phrase?☹️ Great tutorial; TFS!🖤🖤🖤
Lol that’s how I felt when I was teaching my kids about locking hair! I kept telling them to turn the hair clockwise, not realizing most of them can’t read an analog clock! 😂😂
I can’t braid but for some reason this was so relaxing to watch. Thank you!
My pleasure! Lol I have had several people tell me they use my braiding videos as ASMR when they can’t sleep, I get it! 😂😊😊
It’s the relaxing music for me. Every time I’ve tried this on myself it has been a fail but one day
Thank you need to learn how to do my own hair can't afford to pay people at the moment 😭
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
This lady in mexico made me cry when she tried to do side feed in brades on me . I didn't like the outcome. It could have been lots of factors why the hair style went wrong. I have thin hair and found out I'm very tender headed lol she used gel and was adding too much hair to begin with 😅
I use water instead because it hardens the hair and makes it easy to hold firm the synthetic hair.. The gel for me slips and my fingers sweat!😭😃
This is the best video ever! My “aha moment” is realizing that I’m picking up too much of the human hair as I braid. Game changer!
I'm glad that companies are making things easier and available for beginners now to learn. I'm glad UA-camr are making teachable videos. 👏🏾👏🏾
Omg after 2 years of a hair journey with my mixed autistic 12 year old girl your videos have been the only ones to help me. My daughters hair has been such an inspiration for her and opened up her personality it makes my heart melt. Thank you so much for such an amazing video!!!!
Wheew do you have a video with the regular braids like this, not french..I just got cross eyed with the overhand braiding😆..great job though Linwood!!
Thanks! I have an entire playlist of tutorials for braiding, from beginner to advanced 😊❤️👍🏽
Thank you so much!! I can make plaits but I didn’t know how to add the colourful extensions, I made it today to my 3 years old daughter, she loves it.
This costs $80 AUD per person at our local theme park, didn’t think anyone was gonna go for it, considering the entry ticket to the park is like $115, but nope, those lady didn’t get a break even, so many people wanted it done!
4:05 was my aha moment. Putting the hair in between makes so much sense
My trouble is while trying to follow what he’s doing- he is braiding over and I braid cornrows under. So I got stuck while trying to do my daughter’s head. I had to just refigure while braiding under.
I struggled so bad at college learning even simple braids like Dutch and french but one video of yours and I’ve already got the technique down! Love your teaching!
They’re not simple they take quite awhile to learn
Great video! I’m Navajo and I love the color in hair braids! I’ve been wanting to do my daughters hair like this for the longest and couldn’t find a good video to explain this at my speed. Thank you so much! She’s gonna absolutely adore this!
I’m not even done watching the video, but felt inclined to tell you how much I’m LOVING this tutorial!!
You explain everything without making the viewer feel as if they should know certain things. I also feel like I’m in the room with you cuz of the way you’re talking & I love it 🙌🏽 ❤❤
WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE LIKE OMG BEST VIDEO EVER!!
Bro… your teaching ability is way tf up! I’ve watched every tutorial on UA-cam I’m sure with non stop fails and confusion. Then here comes you! Respect bro!
Every time I watch your how to videos. It makes me want to get me a head and start working on perfecting my craft
Furst
Yasss!! ❤️❤️
🤯Shine and jam adds grip to textured hair not slip so use a texturizing wax-you just dropped a whole gem on me. What kind do you suggest for 4c hair?
With your soothing voice and simple instructions I learned a lot thank you 😊
From someone who does this often. I have thin hair so I find adding a lot of small hanks works best for me. So lots of small. Take your time y’all got this👏👏👏
This is the best explanation I have see to date!! And I’ve watched a lot!!
Great tutorial! Could you show the difference in doing underhanded vs overhanded braids? Thanks
What product would you recommend instead of the shine and jam for straight or less curly hair?
TFS❤ I just learned how to do knotlees box braids!!! I'm still working on mastering feed in cornrows 🙏🏾💯😊
Finally!! A video that explains it so well. And it looks so easy. I can finally do this with my oldest that has been asking me for color braids.
❤🎉 muy bien esos vídeos pero quedamos en las mismas porgue no entendemos ni papa
I subscribed just off the line "The shine and jam on textured hair adds grip, the shine and glam on silky hair adds slip." A bar lol love it!
Hi! I am Brazilian and at times I was looking for a video that would help me learn the braid from scratch and you were the only one who got it. Thank you so much 🥰🌹
Her hair is wrecked 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol she’s been through some things lately!
GlamFam Hair & Beauty she looks like it!🤣🤣🤣🤣
How long does the braid last?
I just don't understand the purpose of feeding in hair to your braids I don't get it please explain
It makes them gradually get thicker instead of abruptly looking thicker. This helps in making your extensions look more natural 😊👍🏽❤️
Thanks for the response I just didn't understand it I've been braiding for a long time but I come from the old school now that you explained it makes a lot of sense thanks
My absolute pleasure! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask 😊🙏🏽
Thank you so much for this !! I'm a mom of a 6 year old girl and have started practicing with braiding hair for her and I can only do the over hand braids so this made it SO much easier to figure out how to feed in hair and do some cute styles for her !
Top 7!! Whoot whoot
Top NOT FURST!
Thank you now I know how to add hair aha and thank you for using a different color to see the actual bread
I dont like PANK!
Lol
Good!
On top of your awesome gift to teach; your nails are AMAZING!! Thanks for sharing with us
I watched this and realize I do under on others hair and over on mine. This won’t work on the human hair wear I just ordered but I can try with other type. This is going to take a good deal of practice on my own head!! The thing’s you learn here ... thank you!🙏🏿👍🏿👏🏿❤️😎
You are a wonderful teacher. I used to know how to french braid, but I didn't do it for a long time, so I've forgotten how. I need a refresher course. Need to leave perms alone. Had beautiful long thick hair. I got I'll and it broke off. So now it's wigs and braids. I'm going to try box braids next.
Do you have to keep adding more hair as you go down? Does a make a difference if you just add it at the top?
Thank you. I'm still trying to learn this art. My daughter has textured hair and is excited to be my walking talking billboard. I like that you do for visual. It helps. I'm a visual and hands on learner. So again thank you. Maybe now I can figure it out.
This was very informative. Thank you so much!
I’m going to be trying this on myself and my daughter this weekend🤞🏼I hope it looks as good as yours🤞🏼
My pleasure! Best of luck! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hello glam fam I’m wondering were do you get your mannequin stand from
I got it on Amazon, there’s a link for it in the description box 😊👍🏽
Thank you
My pleasure!
I learned braiding other people’s hair. Mostly non black hair so braiding my natural 4 c hair is a slow process but I’m getting better😂
Practice is key! You’ll get there fam!
Are you able to do a Dutch braid instruction for feed in braids exactly like this one! This is super helpful, and I know you have a smaller tutorial for this, but would love one like this please!
Glenwood, you are an AMAZING TEACHER!!! You explain everything in great details, I feel very confident that I can do this!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you! You don't braid backwards/upside down so this really helped!!! I needed the clarity on adding hair smoothly and without chunks... Thank you!
This was the most simple video that helped me do it thank u. !!!
I am soooo happy you made your videos of how to hold hair and step by step braiding while it was in a pony tail!!! That helps so much!! I got it right after that now I'm learning feed ins
Very very helpful video! Thank you for doing this on curly hair too! I see so many braiding videos on perfectly straight, fine hair and I feel like it’s just so different from my hair type it makes it hard to follow. Now I’ve just got to learn to braid on myself 😭
You blew my mind brother
Thanks so much, Thanks for watching!
This helped me so much! Thank you!!
Such a pleasure! Thanks for watching!
I Love your Presentation ❤ Very informative, articulate and the visual is extremely helpful 😊
So if gel adds grip to coily hair, and adds slip to straight hair, what product can I use for straight hair to add grip?
You can use a light texture wax 😊
It's all fun and games until I try it 😫😫😫🤣
The comb tip was so Helpful ! Thank youu ☺️
I think it looks great with Pink hair though 😁
Wow! This is THE BEST tutorial out there! Thank you so much!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
My daughter has wanted this for so long and with really thick curly hair I was putting it off as long as I could but your video is awesome. Easy to follow, you explain well and the best part? No unnecessary chat lol so, thank you 🙏
1:52 time to change batteries 😂
Heyy i hope u see this before my first time. I am 15 yrs old and i need to learn how to add extensions to very short hair like a guy. Can u help me plzz btw great instructor🙈😍👍🙏
Thank you for this wisdom
🙏 🙌 👏 ❤️ 💖 💜 🙏
Can u do that again but on short hair
Is it possible to salvage the hair for another use? Can you show how to take it out?
Yes, you absolutely can 😊 the pieces come out one by one when you unbraid, and they can be neatly set aside
So im a white girl but I'm learning how to braid because i want to be a hairstylist and I want to be able to offer service for all kinds of hair
Thank You So Much For This Tutorial!! Amazing !! Please keep sharing!! They are extremely educational and helpful!! I really do love them!! Thanks Again!! 💕
Oh my gosh this was SO, SO HELPFUL! I've seen people do it really quickly in videos but had no idea how to copy that. THANK YOU.
Love this! you are telling so calm and relax i love to watch your vids. Its very clear 👏
My 50th my BFF left me 20 t0 40 small braiding box style.
my hair 😑 it was disappointing to see I wasn't able to feel pretty. 🙃 She was helping me to grow my hair
I was Natural for 12 years and she helped me grow my hair....I can't trust anyone. So much more to this story. Thank you yt
❤❤❤❤
best tutorial!! very well explained without to much mambo jumbo... thank you!
Would it be almost same technique for Dutch braids but other way around?Since I know how to do it French braids are just not fun for my girl. Could you do a tutorial on Dutch braids please?
Thanks so much. This is the BEST feed in video out of all. You’re an awesome teacher.☺️❤️👍🏽
Thankyou for making this video !!!! I’m going to see doja cat this week and wanted two long french braids but didn’t know how to add my braiding hair thankyou !!! ❤
This is such a lifesaver thank you 🤲🏾💞
Do you do one on ones?!?!?! Do you need to have really good finger dexterity?! This kinda explained more than any other vid and I've seen 100's!!!!
I wouldn't leave your braiding classes until I got the braiding technic down pack. How much are your braiding classes and are you located Houston?
Since you said the shine n jam adds grip on curly hair but not straight hair, what would you say for hair that is 2C/3A? My hair is definitely not straight but it's not coily either, i have a mix of waves and spirals so do you think that I should use a texturizing product since my hair is a bit more slippery?
This was a really helpful tutorial thanks! been confused about doing french braids for time & this was great ✨✨
Beautiful glory be to Allah who created thees beautiful girls ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have two questions... 1 what would happen if you braided under instead of over and 2 what would happen if you started with one big piece of colored extension instead of braiding in small sections at a time?
This should go without saying but the rubber band that comes on the hair, don't try and pull that off!Cut that shit,I almost wrecked the whole damn piece!Got it the first time thank you!U teach well
would it damage the hair?
Only if it’s done incorrectly/ overly tight. It also helps if you have deep conditioned the hair prior to braiding.
Can you please give me a recommendation for a texturizing braid gel? Thank you.
You said don't mind my knee cap in the corner!lol But I was so mesmerized by the braiding!!
Alot easier to feed in hair with the underhand braid technique. With these overhand French braids its way more difficult to add extensions and keep the hair in place. My hands are cramping just watching 😢
What music was used in background? It’s absolutely beautiful. Would love a link to
It.
This was really helpful for me since this is the only braid I do. And now I can practice adding in hair to give it some longevity. 🎉
You make it look easy. But I guess it's just practice. Glad I have a sister to practice on. Lol.
Ughh this seems SO easy but it’s so frustrating for me 😔 I have kinky hair and have only ever know how to straighten it but want to learn new styles but this is so challenging when you haven’t been doing it your whole life 😩
What kind of texturizing waxer gel would you recommend?? And if I wanted to do dutch braids with the same technique for adding hair be okay or should I do it a little differently being that the other strands would go underneath the middle??
Brill vid. I usually do Dutch braids on my daughter..could you be help? Would it be kinda the same.
Omg thank you for this tutorial cuz im about to do this method on my self cuz i want longer braids i love your videos and will be using this tutorial while i braid.
