One thing i started doing is rating shots in-camera during the day. If i have a moment where nothing is happening I'll scroll back the photos on the camera and rate anything I shot since I last rated.
When it's time to do the selects for the slideshow, I show all the rated shots, then I only need to add any shots that I feel is needed to round out the slideshow. Makes the selection process so much faster.
I worked a wedding once where the videographer did a same day video! They presented it during the reception.
Yea its pretty awesome what you can do with technology! You still remember that! Thats an amazing tool to have!
