- Here is another car I helped get to get the Ambient Lighting on. I wanted to show more on the thought process and what it takes to figure it all out and plan out the install.

@@mrgcc hi. When you did this install in particular connecting the wiring to the doors, did you notice that when you roll down the windows the light for that particular door goes out the back on?
Hi Tom, I didnt notice it there and then but recently as the owner got back in touch with me about it, I then connected the same wires to other points where it had a live and earth without giving that issue. I didn't get the chance to film it as it was done very late night and in a rush as he had to shoot back home. Hope that helps.

I dont unfortunately, I think it was the live that I relocated over to another point.

Can u help me ive installed lights in my w204 but need to run the cable through the door firewalls to the interior cabin i cant find a openi ng to get into the side fuse box panel or under the drivers steering wheel compartment on both sides passenger and driver side what do i do ?

How long did it take you to install these ambient lights?
I need this, I recently got a Mercedes A class and it’s 2018 but early 2018 “the edition that dose not come with full ambilights” so I have been shopping about and was quoted £260 for just the dash and front 2 doors. I would drive my car to you if you can beat the price this is beautiful work

You should do an install for the upgrade android navigation system for this merc makes it a much better interior
If it was my car I would, I am thinking of doing it for my 6 series. I do like the android units out these days
Hiya there mate, I’ve been looking everywhere for someone being able to do this in the UK. Are you able to fit these lights in my Mercedes W209 CLK & have the lights in the fans too like how the factory does it in the newer Mercedes models?

hello it still works after installation? many people say it doesn't work for long
This wasn't my Merc, but on my BMW it is still working about 1.5 years since the install so I would say a good install should make it last a long long time.
How is the ambient light controlled? Can you choose different colours or switch off when you want?
All controlled via app on the phone or remote, and yep you can change colours, turn it off, everything. Check out more of my videos to see all the other things available too

Which wires did you tap to on the cigarette lighter? You kept saying right there, and right here but that doesn't explain much when the camera is so far away.
Im sorry about that. The wires to the cigarette lighter are 2 wires. 1 live and 1 earth. I'll do another video soon just speaking on what wires to. And a little more direct but also universal for others to understand.
Hi there pal. Just wondering, instead of soldering it and hardwiring it in. Reckon wire splicing it in and tapping in is a good idea?
Hi mate, you can use other fitments like what I did on the 1 series in this video: ua-cam.com/video/TXRWL9d4gnU/v-deo.html.
I would say just splicing it in wont be the best/most secure way of doing it, as the doors will always get opened and closed and could become loose if you just splice. Taps are best to be used here.

Hi mate, the doors. I tapped into the large red mixed with grey wire and tapped in the brown wire as earth..... one I do that the whole car malfunctioned...... won’t even start, but as soon as I disconnect the red /grey. Everything works..... I have exact same car please response as soon as you can lol

I Don't have a soldering gun. Is it safe enough to use scotchloks to tap into the live and ground wires on the cigarette lighter and the door panels??

Thats the newest upload on a BMW 1 Series, I didnt need to do into the doors as it was a different kit, but it works exactly the same as you mentioned. Hopefully that helps clear it up mate!

Its up to you really. You can disconnect the battery to safe guard things. But you will need to make sure you know where the life and earth points are.

Kind of yes, but because the command box to it all is off inside the car the lights will be off too.
@@mrgcc There is a risk of battery discharge because current flows continuously through the connection of the pushed wiring even after the engine is turned off I checked the red and white wires in the video with the tester, and the power was always running, so I had two strands coming out of the speaker, and I connected them to a thick wire here I assembled it after checking that there was no problem with the test result because there would be noise when I turned on the speaker If I think it is wrong, please reply. Haha. There is no data in Korea, so I was searching for UA-cam and found Mr. GCC's video. ^^ I thought it was always connected to my phone to turn off the power

Sure. It would be £60 for the lights and then £140 for installing it
