This set is based on the original tool to remove wheel hubs. With the supplied attachments the tool can also be used for the (dis) assembly of the wheel bearings on the front and rear of the 2CV.

Why not clean all the area around the bearing housing before fitting new bearing? Very poor engineering.

Waarom de boring van 4 mm ?

What is the reason for drilling two holes of 4mm x 3mm deep into the retention ring?

They are drilling through previous peening points ... (places where the the ring has been chiseled in past) ... if you don't drill the previous peening out and you try to remove the ring it will either be difficult to turn or damage the threads when coming out (or both)

persoonlijk zou ik het lagerhuis eerst flink schoonmaken zolang het oude lager er nog in zit ...en het borgplaatje vervangen van de stuur as. (welke niet geborgd is)

Het stuurkogelarmpje is idd niet geborgd, maar ik denk dat deze niet vervangen wordt omdat ze in een andere video laten zien hoe de fuseepen vervangen wordt. moet anders dubbel vervangen worden.
