The Piraña (this ride), is an Inca-style river rapid ride and got there in 1983, being one of the first river rapids. The ride time can take up to 8 minutes and the musical theme was added in 2005. There are some amazing hidden details in Piraña, like a boat with a tent on it next to the terrace on Piraña Square. And some sort of tavern inside the station where you can see a table with fruits and a chair with a blanket on it. There’s also Piraña Island, the ‘island’ which is surrounded by the river. There are some interactive elements so you can wet people in the ride. And you can get on the roof there.
Did you know that this was actually the second rapid river in the world? (Astroworld had the first) so this is now the oldest still operating rapid in the world and i think it's still a lot of fun and the main reason why a lot of these rides have a south american/maya theming.
Jake Watson grow up
Jake Watson
Who hurt you?
Jake Watson
Evasive.
I know it’s difficult to face the pain but remember: he can’t bad-touch you anymore.
Jake Watson
You poor thing. Still evading.
Jake Watson
I can tell you want help, otherwise you wouldn’t keep responding... I know it can be hard to face your issue head-on, but someday you’ll be ready ♥️
Now I know where Rollercoaster Tycoon got their waterfall wall look.
This is certainly one of the most chaotic raft rides I’ve ever seen.
Positively?
Of course, it's the ONLY one in the world, which is not strictly channeled. You can bump around, overhaul another raft and even get stuck with 2 at such a narrow portal... on purpose.. when 2 are stuck, from control central they let turn around the "bumper barrels" aside, so that the rafts get freed :-)
Wig4 - Did you look at "Fjord Rafting" at Europapark already?
Man im coming from the netherlands and i find this the nest rappid ride ever im coming every year there
I love everything about this, just another reason to visit the Netherlands.
Be sure to bring spare clothes for this ride. If your sitting in the wrong seat then your soaked. Personal experience here😂
Or maybe buy a cheap plastic poncho.
Im from the netherlands im something say in dutch hoi ik ben jop fijn je te ontmoeten
Great video!! The ride is actually called "Piraña" though
Strange way of showing the rapids. First some scenes from the fairytale forest which is not even near the rapids. To be on the rapids at the end. It makes it look like that the attraction has a fairy tail waiting line.
To eleborate on Down86, the fairytale forest is one of the many rides and attractions the Efteling Themepark has to offer. It's a completely on it's on themed area of the park. The park is devided in several different "realms"; Reizenrijk (journey realm), Marerealm (story realm in which the fairytale forest is located), fantasierijk (fantasy realm... The main entrance stretch and home to the parks mascotte), anderrijk (other realm) and ruigrijk (rough realm, where all or most the thrill rides are located, as well as the Piraña while that does stand out a bit with it's Inca theme next to a German themed coaster).
@@TrojTV piraña is anderrijk😁
@@crazyblackmonkey152 the map is somewhat unclear about that, but yes, the ride is listed as anderrijk. (I'm still pre-realm generation, so the borders of the realms blurr for me sometimes)
Every time the ride is different.
One time I had two large gulfs of water right in my lap and back, sometimes the boat goes under the last big waterfall, sometimes bumping other boats, sometimes the boat spins more, sometimes the statues spit in the boat, sometimes when you hit a wave the water hits someone in the boat, etc. It's a good laugh when someone else gets a good splash, ah well sometimes it's my turn 😁.
Used to go on this ride again and again till forever, love Piranha !
love that Dragon that was cool ! never seen anything as good as this place
If you think that dragon was cool, take a look at “Draak Edna” from the same park
How cool this is the first rapids ride where I've seen multiple boats with each other banging up against each other during the ride so awesome. :) Seems dangerous but who cares :)
Overtaking boats
They used to be all like that, it's part of the fun. Like a race you can't control 😎😎
And no belts! Welcome to Europe🙋🏽♂️
@@lampini636 lol I thought I saw one woman move around like crazy to avoid getting wet and tried seeing her belt and I didn't but I didn't actually believe there were no belts, wow lol.
@@Gonk -____-
This ride have got a name : Piraña
I was just about to say that
No wonder why we're all socially paranoid adults since we're haunted and tortured as kids at places like this growing up, lol. -- When I was a kid, the polar bear inside The Matterhorn was terrifying enough. This place would have sent me over the edge, lol.
@@groenekever *are
Polar bear=yeti?
Can't wait to visit this park it looks magical ☺
I love how chaotic the water is
Did anyone else panic a bit when they saw those people standing up and moving around in their raft? Just me?
Not really. You can easily stand up in this rapids.
Find it very interesting seems to be no track. Like that one raft passed the one infront of it.
Correct, there is no track, except by the station
Does this ride not have safety belts? Or did those people at 1:02 just undo them or something?
Nope none
In Europe, there aren't seatbelts on any rapids
Welcome to Europe🙋🏽♂️
No there aren't. Cause this ride isn't that bad. Your sitting in a boat basically and boats don't have safety wraps too. In the line they tell you that if your stuck not to stand up and push yourself away cause the stream is controlled to keep the boats going
And your not allowed to stand up so those people are at fault
you must try ride pasific rim at trans Studio cibubur in Indonesian country,
It's so funny, this ride people don't wanna get wet or soaked and this ride get you a few drops of water. When I went to Florida to Pop eye rapids ride, I was soaked af. I want that water ride in the Efteling. you cant stand up or move away from the soaking parts of the ride
Unless you get stuck under the waterfall ofcourse 😅
@@swx5789 That never happend to me and went to many times to the Efteling
I went in that ride with my parents and said "I'll sacrifice myself" everyone got wet except me
We can't have a ride like that, because of the weather. That's also why you don't get that wet in De Vliegende Hollander either. :)
@@im.joeyb. weather, it was yesterday 41 degrees
I love this vids ☆ its all so perfectly filmed ☆~Amoenda_Cosplay (Pardoes)
Haha zit jij ook efteling vids te kijken. Volgens mij rewatch ik de video's van dit kanaal al voor de tiende keer. Ze zijn super gedaan.
Gotte love the theme music on pirana!
This is basically a real-life RCT3 rapids ride.
大好きです〜
Interesting how, because of the unpredictability of water, 9 overtook you and then you overtook them shortly after
I found a photo of me on that ride, as a kid. Can' remember a thing of it, even after watching the video. Haha...
I think its the oldest and best Rapid River in Europe
The second of the world and the oldest still operating. It had a make over in 2013
@@bas9682 In my opinion the best one: Nice theming, soak, long track and the boats can catch each other
JT O yeah its very fun you can just pass someone or bump in to an other boat
This park is so good. It definitely deserves recognition from many foreign countries as it is better than every Disney Park
Peaceful relaxing and refreshing
I’m not sure if it’s relaxing and peaceful. There’s a 99.9% chance of you getting wet
@@dutchshark1580 🌷
楽しそう
Seeing raft #9 briefly get ahead made me realize why these rides rarely let the water get wide enough for that kind of thing to happen. It creates the possibility of two rafts getting stuck on each other when it gets narrow again.
Basically, they better install more guide rails.
The ride has barrels on the sides of the river in the narrow parts, to free the boats when they get stuck
Whose bright idea was it to have a water ride in the Netherlands?!
Valid statement! The Efteling has confirmed that both Piranha (this ride) and the flying dutchmqn (a hybrid darkride/watercoaster) are pretty expensive to maintain. That's also the reason why disneyland Paris doesn't have any outdoor water attractions beceause they just can't afford it
@@MinecraftAgency12 I wasn't thinking about the cost (although that is also a good point), I was thinking more about the fact that, even in the Summer, the Netherlands isn't exactly the warmest place on Earth. Going on a water ride there would result in being cold, wet, and miserable for pretty much the rest of the day.
@@otaking3582 also true! But that's not such a BIG issue. Especially in the past few summers it is more than hot enough to dry you of, and in winter those rides are closed :) but it is true that the amount of people who ride it on a daily basis is really dependend on the weather, even more so than other rides. Annother reason why it's les cost/efficient, and why dp has so many indoor rides. But overall it is really not as bad as it may seem. We are quite used to being wet here in the lowlands ;) (I'm from Belgium btw)
@@otaking3582 mate it was 40 degrees in the Netherlands this summer, wouldn't want to be in Disneyland Paris without any water rides in that weather
@@QDude24 I was starting to question both your sanity and the weather in the Netherlands until I realized "Wait, that's probably 40° Celsius and not 40° Fahrenheit..."
As you can see, I'm a dumb American
Can I put that dragon in my front yard on my roof with the treasure?
What camera setup are you using?
I want to know too!
what is going on in that boat at 1:00 lol
Electronic Progression This ride is known for getting extremely wet, so my guess is they were trying not to get wet.
I love it because some People don't now the dragons are shooting water 😂
im going there today :D
Channel name: SoCalAttractions360
Records in the Netherlands
K
And not 360
That place is so cool, sadly I live in America thou
SADLY???? did you really said that? I live in turkey girl. You cant know what is SADLY :(
This isn't 360
That's the thing about foreign parks, they put more emphasis on fun than safety compared to U.S. parks, which is why foreign parks have more interesting rides and attractions.
Have you ever heard about the TÜV?
no! its you
e own failt if you stand up and not the park gets sued!
Mejor que el de Isla Mágica
I just was in the Efteling lol
Im every year 😂
Im from the netherlands so i have been there a couple time’s
Very interesting place.
4:25 Funniest part to me
Theres no drop
I love ur videos
Bello Donde es?
Just call the river rapids "Piraña"
Only thing worse than a water ride is a water ride on a day everyone is wearing coats.
I live in the netherlands
Im 2
Still the best rapid were I been on because the boats can pass each other. I miss that part in other rapids.
It is the only one in the whole world, where rafts can pass each other ! (And there are more or less 50 of such rides in the world.. :-) )
@@Wig4 Thx for your answer! I didn't know it was still the only one in the world were boats pass each other. The other rapids are so mainstream without that part I think.
0:44 *manspreading*
1:02 Goes on Rapid ride, refuses to get wet........
That fish at the beginning though......yikes
Pinokio
Where is this!!!!????
The Efteling in the Netherlands.
That dragon animatronic though. Looks like Disney built it
Master Knife their is even a bigger one at Joris en de draak
Edna de draak
Legal esse, mas a do Beto Carrero é melhor tematizada
I love it because you can stand up on the raft 1:03
Your not supposed to though
ourbinacreative yes and in the Efteling they are very good in safety so of you fall out the whole river gets stopped directley
🥰👌
Guess Momo O' Brien didn't see this ride..
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I love your content

• First , I would love to do mushrooms and hop on this ride
• Second, at 0:56 I'm pretty sure that's a glory hole
Giant Namekian Dende its a trashbin
Lol probably
Holle Bolle Gijs: a family of hungry trash eaters that suck the trash out of your hand and then say thank you. There's some compilations online of all of the different ones around the park. My favorite is the pirate by the flying Dutchman
Laurel indeed
That does sounds pretty cool
Ehm... nope.
Seemed like the queue was cooler than the actually ride... which looked pretty lame :o
They showed the Fairytale Forest, not Piraña's queue. :)
1:00 not sure if that’s allowed lmao
Sutton Griffin it is a sort of
@@bas9682 It's forbidden to stand up during the ride
Simon R. _ It is actually forbidden but they allow it
boring ride
No need to complain if you're a ADHD type ... lol , it's not the ride, then, it's you :-)
God that was boring!
