my grandfather taught me that you will never be a good cattleman if you weren't a successful cowboy to start with. there's a lot of dynamic that goes into that most people don't realize
After twenty five years I'm done with it, don't see anyone in the video digging up water lines or fixing endless miles of fence. There is a lot of it I really miss though.
Due to events in my life, I decided I had to prove to myself I could face my fears and overcome doubt, so I began to ride bulls, and got to a point over the last few years that I rode in several bull riding competitions. I never won a thing, I got bucked off most of the time before the 8-seconds, but when I picked myself up, I knew in my own heart that despite the natural fear of getting into the chute, climbing on the back of a 1,500 pound bull and wrapping the rope around my fist, there was no fear, no unknown, no doubt that I couldn't face and overcome.
And then that translated to every other aspect of your life and you were a better person for it. I think it's crazy when people say bull riders are crazy, because you guys are the people facing your fears every time you get on that animal.
I’m a 3rd generation rancher . Small scale now. Full time Cowboy until I was 28 then branched out into the construction world to make more money. It’s been good to me but very stressful. Some days I wish I was horseback doctoring livestock. My Cowboy ways made me better at life . Nothing I can’t do !
Really good Breven. Thanks for putting it straight! It's something we need to bring back, the sacrifice for hard work and doing good things and remembering what matters.
Been there, done that all my life. It’s a blessing to ride for the King of kings. “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers” (Revelation 17:14). “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:16). Amen
I dont personally work on a ranch, or anything ranch related for that matter. I want to, but haven't found anyone who will hire me. But I live by the honor code of the American Cowboy, I'm hard working, determined, a quick learner, have good morals, respectful, and a follower of Christ.
One thing that was not mentioned in this video; being a Cowboy has a strong reverence to Christ and many of our values come from our Faith. We get our grit and integrity from Almighty God! Amen! ✝️🇺🇸🫡🤠👊
"IT MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT WAY, BUT IT'S THE COWBOYS WAY" 😂😂 HAVING BEEN LUCKY TO RIDE WITH COWBOYS ON A RANCH IN MONTANA, YOU BETTER HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR, ESPECIALLY ABOUT GETTING IN A WRECK ON A HORSE, AS LONG AS IT DOESNT CRIPPLE OR KILL YOU. Susan
That's some good advice. Everytime I've been in a wreck I had to laugh it off or it would have been real bad for my reputation. What wrecks have you been in?
It's FREEDOM & doing what's right. Not putting up with the BS of climbing that corporate ladder. Understanding how & why GOD has put you on this earth.
Excellent comments. Get back to basics. Respect. God, country, family.
No whining.
Hard workers, love of nature. Strong men. Whose hand shake was a contract. Word was honored. No lies.

That's a good way at looking at things. I know a lit of guys go back to it in their late thirties and early forties.
Very romantic 😮

Great video thank you.

Amen, God is great and transforms many lives. What are you thoughts on Christianity and cowboying?
@@broomtailcountry I believe they’re one and the same. God designed man for working and working is part of the cowboy spirit.

What wrecks have you been in?
Meh. I believe John Wayne was a Moo - vee Star. Not a cowboy.
You got that right, Hello Clay. How are you doing today?
Yes, but the fact that his video included Pat Pucket more than mitigates the Moo=vee star!
Recieve
Mythic nonsense.
Try it for a year I would bet you would be dead inside of a month pansy
