RAIN. That is what was happening on this day in Davao Oriental, Mindanao. After a morning jog and surf, I found myself hiding out in our nipa house along the beach. There is something really comforting about these kind of huts and beds in the Philippines.
I had to go to Baganga to get a few things, and ate a delicious chicken mami at Zorbox. Yes, there is another good coffee shop here along the coast!
A rainy day in the Philippines...
Life continues.

It actually is! Especially in some rural areas in Mindanao. I think it is because a banana is rich in potassium, hence, people rub it on their legs prior to a strenuous exercise to avoid cramping. But of course, like many other beliefs in Mindanao, it is not supported by any scientific evidence. 😁
@@kamazimargen7697 and papaya too..i remember my mother when I was just about 5 , saw her rubbing papaya & banana peel alternatively all over her body, she told me it is to blur the freckles or regenerate, exfoliate, and peel naturally the skin from the damage of too much exposure to sun....i think it works because my mother skins remains spotless and so white..amputi puti ni Mama !!

Until 4 years ago I ran every where many miles a day in army boots with a backpack on my back. I'm aged 61 Recently I've done lots of research and it's proven that walking at a steady pace is just as good as running for a fit body, extending your life and looking young when people of my same age look old.
Always waiting mama rose including your blog,I really admire her,like my mom,I never grown up with her,no image in my mind how she looks like,not even in a picture I can't find any it's all banish when she's gone too ..one thing they said is that she's very loving and caring and a good cook,.. deep in my heart she's here with me😊🤗I'm very thankful to God,who am I today my mom is part of it wherever I may go,. this is why I like watching this vlog,Im seeing a good hearts in here,thank you...salute to you sir kulas🤗🤗😇😇God bless you more

Man!!! mike will live long, drinking fresh tuba will give you a hell strong stretch of life.... i always remember on vacation time in phil. my father always treat me tuba he is proud of drinking tuba in his life because its fresh from tree, free from chemical and all earth nutrients is pure.. when i buy him wine or liquor he always decline and insults me that's not fresh and you are drinking chemical..

You guys should have a beach fire and drum circle. We use to get people together once a month. Food and red horse(your choice) and something to beat on, drum, box, pot, log and we would make a circle and enjoy the beats. Very healthy and fulfilling. Locals thought it was nuts until the third time then they joined in. It was a blast.

The banana peeling helps from anti-aging skin from dry skin to have a smooth skin. I used it on my face/knees/elbows/feet/hands/neck/skin, instead using expensive lotion....old folk in caring one's own skin. Oh by the way Kulas, it is rainy season n you should have your raincoat with you all the time.
