LOVE YA
Martin Kudláček Haha. Love you too!
sublime !
-BoK- jeff Thanks man! Appreciate it.
Hammer looks incredible. I’m using a lot of your advice on mine. I had a question: did you spray the finish before or after the model wash?
Thanks! I typically use enamel washes and my paint is acrylic. So, normally it’s a good idea to give it a clear coat before the wash. Sometimes they don’t mix well. Plus, it’s easier to remove some wash if you get too much. Then I almost always follow that up with another clear coat. Hope this helps. Good luck!
amazing work
Thanks so much Mark!
do you have te files split into parts instead of printing it in one go thanks
No, but you should be able to easily separate them in your slicing program. There's a download link available in this thread. www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=276121
Thanks for the compliment btw! I appreciate it.
are we able to get a plain print version so we can paint ourselves. this is epic.
Thanks a bunch for the comment. And yes, I have shared the files in my post at The Replica Prop forum, located here: www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=276121
thanks but I don't have a 3d printer.
righteous, im so down. ill send something back I make.
RIP Australians who want a copy but don't have a printer😂😂
Rob, awesome videos. I'm especially inspired by the Marvel/Avenger items (Captain America Shield/Thors Hammer). I was able to download the info for the Shield, but the link you supply for the hammer doesn't seem to exist anymore. Is there anywhere I can get the info for your hammer, or send it to me. Also, What equipment do you suggest for a beginner to do items like this. I am an automotive designer so I do have access to Catia & NX if that will work with a 3D printer which I definitely would need. I know you have stated that you do not sell items, but if you would consider it I'd be very interested in both the hammer & shield. keep up the awesome work and hope to see more. Hope to hear from you regarding options for the hammer & shield also...Art
art kitter Thanks so much for the praise. I’ve moved all my files to MyMiniFactory.com so you should find everything there. I’m unfamiliar with the software you use, but if it can export in .obj (industry standard 3D file) most slicing software will accept that. I would rather not print anything for money, but there are several commercial printing services you could look at. I’ve only used Shapeways personally. For pieces as large as you’re talking, you might be cheaper off just buying a Creality Ender or similar low price printer. I mention that one specifically because it fairly cheap and I continue to see amazing prints come off them. Anyway, hope this helps. Thanks again for you comments and for watching my videos. I appreciate it. -Rob
Amazing😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Eduardo fabbro Thanks a bunch!
Amazing ¡¡
Carlos PM74 Thanks so much!
I'm making the Hammer, and it's looking great.
I'll upload it to Facebook shortly "ELCLub3D".
Thank you very much for sharing. Best regards!!
Was the paints you used for the handle a mix of red and brown?
Something like that. Maybe some gray in there too to diffuse the bright red.
Hey there Rob, I spray painted the whole hammer and can I now apply clear coat over it? Is it advisable?
Yeah, I’d definitely clear coat it to protect the finish. Some clear coats will take away some of the metallic look, so you may want to test first. Good luck. 👍
@@RobPauza sure thank youu!
Sorry to disturb u again! 😅 Instead of clear coat is it good to go with mod podge?
@@KovaiClub I’ve never used it. Seems like it may be hard to put on smoothly though. You really don’t have to put on a clear coat. It just helps protect the paint job. And also, if you’ve used acrylic paints on your model already, it seals it so you can then use oil washes over it without them mixing and doing weird things. You don’t have to use it though.
@@RobPauza sure thank you so much for your time! It all helps me so much!! Love from India ❤️🇮🇳
Hey what would be a good infill on the handle so it doesnt break
I printed mine around 12-14% with 2 perimeters and it feels very solid. 👍
I downloaded the files you linked to and printed them on my new CR10 pro v2. The hole in the bottom of the head are off and fra too small for the handle. Any thoughts on what I may have gotten wrong? It's my first attempts at a big 3d project.
The hole of one side of the head seems to be not as round as the other half. I think I can sand it to round it better, but not sure how much material I have to sand down.
Hi Tyson. Sorry for the trouble. I've had a ton of people print it without that issue... so my first thought is that you may have inadvertently scaled some of the parts to a different scale... either the handle or hammer. All the slicing programs I've used give you a warning if the parts don't fit and ask if you want to "scale to fit print bed." It's easy to just press yes. My guess is that's probably what happened. Hopefully, you can figure it out and just be able to reprint some of the parts. Hope this helps, and good luck! -Rob
@@RobPauza I figured out what it was. This being the first time I've ever done this, When I brought both halves into Cure to slice, and then moved them around, I inadvertently dropped the left half slightly below the Print bed on the Z axis. I thought I had just slid them from side to side to fit them on the bed. Silly me. I reprinted just the left half without moving it around when I brought it into the Cura. Printed great.
@@thecorrnershed Ah… that makes since. Glad you figured it out. 👍
Amazing!!! Can you share the stl?
Thanks so much. And yes, I have shared the files in my post at The Replica Prop forum, located here: www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=276121
amazing work, can u link me list of color, primer and all u use in this video with brand and type number for color?
thx u very much
Thanks a bunch. I think everything should be covered in the video. It's mostly just various Vallejo paints and some Tamiya Panel Line accent color. Primer for this one is Rustoleum out of a can. Just note that if you're painting something metallic, most silver paints do much better layed over a black primer. Hope this helps. Thanks again!
Is there a version of this that can be printed on a resin printer? I have an elegoo Mars 3.
Hi! Thanks for watching. This is made to be printed with FDM printers... but I do also have a 1-piece version available in the download at MMF as well. That might be your best option, but you couldn't go full-scale. I would also recommend hollowing it out first with MeshMixer or another program since it has so much material.
@@RobPauza Thanks! I thought maybe it could be divided up into plates and assembled that way. This is all still new to me. Thank you for the advice!
@@kronos6948 I'm not sure what options you have using Chitubox, but you probably could split the model up manually if you wanted to. Good luck!
What material did you use ABS, PLA or PETG ?
I usually use PLA because it’s easy to print, but ABS and PETG would be smarter since it sands a lot easier. 👍
@@RobPauza thank you, this is an awesome design. I am relatively new to 3D printing and could you please share you print settings. I am using Cura to slice...
@@rohitralhan1978 Thanks. It’s been a while so I don’t remember. I know I used an infill of around 18% because I wanted a heavy hammer. You can get by with a lot less though. Other than that, I can’t remember. I’d check out a forum for your specific printer as a starting point for settings for the material your using. Hope this helps. Good luck.
@@RobPauza thank you, will give it a shot and see how it goes.
Hey dude, what are the hammer pins for?
Raga Vendran They are to help line up the hammer halves and also provide more surface area for gluing. Thanks for the comment.
Raga Vendran I probably should have also mentioned I added them after the video was made. There’s holes for them in the hammer halves now. 😁
Sanding isn't necessary?
I did some sanding. I just wanted to leave some layer lines to look like brushed metal on the hammer. I definitely should have sanded more on the other parts though. That’s usually my downfall. 😁
@@RobPauza thanks for giving ur time to reply!!! Actually ur version is the best I have seen.. and especially u sanded very little I'm happy that I could also just go with it!!! 😄
@@KovaiClub You are most welcome. Best wishes on your build. Take care!
@@RobPauza thank you 🥺
Where do u get all the hang drum music from
It's all from the free UA-cam library. What time is the part you're interested in, and I'll look it up and send you a link.
This hammer is even better than the hammer they use in the movies
It's not 100% accurate by any means, but I'm happy how it turned out. Thanks for the compliment.
thank you! ... it Looks like 100% infill xo() ... is it right!?!?
ahh i dlete thepost before... can you post the link again pls? THX!
haha... well, 100% seems a bit extreme, although it would be more Thor-like in weight. I don't remember what I printed at, but I usually use as little infill as I can get away with. Just guessing, I'd say maybe 25% would be more than adequate. (maybe less) The only real thing to watch out for on this is to make sure there's enough support (infill) for when it gets to the end of the print and the top, flat surfaces can print without drooping. -That's really going to depend on your printer. Let me know if I can answer anything else. Good luck with your print and shoot me a pic if it turns out well. I'm always curious what other people are doing. rpauza@...(that Gmail place)..com
Hey dude, what are the pins for?
helps to align the two hammer parts when gluing them together
Amazing detail and quality of video!
+1 sub from me!
BasicGameplay35 Thanks a bunch!
Rob Pauza you should create an Ebay account and sell these. I'd love one!
Like the base model. Unpainted and all that.
