Chris LeDoux was the master. I had a blast at every one of his concerts. The only other singer that ever came close was john Denver. And we lost both of them way too early. Chris was amazing. To be honest, I had never heard of him until the age of 18. And I have no idea why. But when I got to college, there was a guy with several Chris LeDoux bumper stickers on his truck. I talked to the guy and he played me a couple of tunes. The first song by Chris that I ever heard was: "You just can't see him from the road". I was hooked. I bought all the tapes, then the CD's, the moment they came out. What an absolute blessing to have had Chris around for a little while. I will never forget the last concert I saw him in. It was at the Cow Palace and I got to shake his hand. He was gone soon after that.
Thanks so much for supporting my music 🎼 I’m so greatful 🥰 and I hope you never stop being fun,I would like to honor you by giving you my personal information....
Chris LeDoux is by far my favorite country singer and I wish I could've met him but he sadly passed a month or so before I was born. He was a great man and a true cowpuncher from what I understand and definitely influenced who I am today to the point where I hope to ride the circuit, definitely fulfill my past dreams of a ranch out West in Wyoming, to hit the road with my guitar and some friends and to be a figure for what good men aspire to be. There are not too many good country singers left and I always find myself singing his songs. I hope to meet him one day at that big rodeo in the sky along with the many other greats whether they be from the West or Nashville. (P.S. Does anyone know what the thing in his left pocket is that's sorta hanging out? I've wondered for a while)
Chris LeDoux concerts were so much fun. The best one for me was an outdoor venue at Canyon Ferry, Montana outside of Helena in about 1991. I still have every album he came out with on cassette, one of my most prized possessions. I keep a cassette player just for his music.

One of my absolute favorite songs of all time, and I'm not even a Texan though I do love it there.

Western-style billfolds from the 90s would stick up out of your pocket so the full dollar bill would be lengthwise with western decorations

Way cool! If you ever find yourself remotely close to Kaycee, Wyoming stop in to see the Chris LeDoux park. It’s very well done!
