  • I made my little chair out of reclaimed pine lumber. You can use pre planed clean timber, straight from your lumberyard.
    Tools and materials I propose:
    Bandsaw: amzn.to/2pHj49v
    Jointer planer: amzn.to/2IQZ3WR
    Table saw: amzn.to/2RBf0nT
    Cordless drill: amzn.to/2A6fTOy
    Random orbit sander: amzn.to/2YTKsRm
    Circular saw: amzn.to/2pJu9Hf
    Speed square: amzn.to/2YoU9XE
    Miter box: amzn.to/2pIkscc
    Hand saw: amzn.to/2Cldl0J
    Countersink bits: amzn.to/2Exkv2G
    Belt sander: amzn.to/2QK0TeN
    Block plane: amzn.to/2RLiAMf
    Chisel set: amzn.to/2pILO1B
    Masking tape: amzn.to/2JCe1lZ
    Dowel center pin: amzn.to/2EmNeGG
    Flush trim saw: amzn.to/2PnkoJM
    8mm dowels: amzn.to/2EX0amW
    Heat gun: amzn.to/2Eg4Qok
    Air compressor, nail and staple gun kit: amzn.to/2NMPCIH

    Πανέμορφη! Μια ερώτηση γιατί στη πλάτη προτίμησες να βάλεις βίδες και όχι καβιλιες ώστε να μην υπάρχει πουθενά το μεταλλικό στοιχειο?

    • @ScrapwoodCity
      @ScrapwoodCity  5 років тому +1

      Έχεις απόλυτο δίκιο. Αλλά το σκέφτηκα εκ των υστέρων. Αν την ξανά έφτιαχνα θα έβαζα καβιλιες. Επίσης να ξέρεις ότι επηρεάστηκα στο ντιζάιν από μια φωτό καρέκλας που ποστάρες στο Facebook

    It seems that it is necesary twear a respirator mask to use a handsaw! (5:42). ;-)
    Aside this joke I would like congratulate you for a nice video and your efforts to show several techniques to do the same task. I am also a fan of dowels and sometimes frustated by the need for great precision. I see that you drill freehand with no jig to ensure squareness and have no problem to get a fit, even with some holes drifting a bit. Do you have any tricks to get this?
    I also see that you speed drying when painting with a heat gun. How much can you shorten drying? Any problem with cracks in the painting doing this way?
    Thanks.

    • @ScrapwoodCity
      @ScrapwoodCity  5 років тому

      Thanks for the nice words. I have a jig for the dowels but I don't use it. I try to check that my drill bit is straight from 2 points of view. The heat gun really helps, I think it dries 3 times faster. No problem with cracks unless you really heat at one place for long time!

    Οντως έγινε πάρα πολύ όμορφη και παρόλο που προτιμώ το χρώμα το ξύλου μου άρεσε αυτή η αντίθεση . Επίσης θα ήθελα να ρωτήσω επειδή την έβαψες με πλαστικό χρώμα δεν θα έπρεπε να την περάσεις βελατούρα πρώτα ή δεν χρειάζεται ;

    • @ScrapwoodCity
      @ScrapwoodCity  5 років тому

      Ευχαριστώ Κατερίνα. Δεν έχω χρησιμοποιήσει ποτέ βελατούρα. Το πλαστικό με 2 χέρια τα καλύπτει όλα και δεν είχα κάποιο πρόβλημα μέχρι στιγμής!
