Its sad, but I respect it. He just doesn't enjoy it right now. And I'd rather him do this than to force himself to play what he doesn't like.
I'm happy to see an A-Z happening from the beginning. I found the channel in 2019, so I missed that one and 2020 didn't get one, even though there was a donation to charity goal that was achieved... I'm glad we're getting it, now.
I was starting to doubt the likelihood of Pally wanting to make an A-Z considering how uneven his upload rate has been. Now he made that clear for everyone.

@@Vampyreq Recently? Nothing really. But Pally isn't being pulled pulled by the game anymore, which is understandable, given the maintenance mode and slowed release schedule the game finds itself in. He made a video about it recently.

What makes your HOTS content great is that you don't tend to care about meta builds, but rather in the joy of playing. You give an idea of what what a hero should be thinking about doing. Finally, you manage this without alt accounts and beating up on lower players. You have the best HOTS content on the internet my friend.

Is this just Pally not doing this anymore(I thought he was stopping this a couple of years ago) or is Blizzard putting the boot to HotS?
@@JacksonOwex this requires insane amounts of time and work, its a huge ordeal. He said the same thing last year where he worked on the a-z for like 6 months. Thats not something you really wanna do every year

Fun fact about Abathur: In the Alpha, when you cloned a hero, you also got their ultimate. So that was a thing for a while

Caught you on stream the other day practicing Alarak and taking notes for this, that was exciting because I love your A-Z playthroughs, and even though this'll be your last I'll still enjoy myself. All the best, Pally!
In Alpha, Abathur was considered S Tier along with Tychus, Tyrande, and Tassadar; solely based on his EXP soaking mechanic. However Abathur only had one heroic, ultimate evolution, which also copied Heroic Abilities when he used the clone. Double Odin or Double Archon was fun as hell.
He also had a lot of strange cooldowns like Bribe and Promote which could be used on siege camps (like the ogres) and they dealt like 250% damage. (Though I could be wrong and promote only worked on the catapults because I know Mercenary Lord did the same thing with the camps)
His Bombard Strain also outranged turrets (and the nexus/core IIRC) so there was an interesting strat to take the global mine, place it deep in the enemy base and back door with locust strain. There was a video with a Zagara using Nydus and Abathur cloning her to melt turrets as well, which led it to being fixed.
Also, Monstrosity isn't that bad despite what people say. You can heal it at the fountain and now that Deep tunnel is baseline at 10, you can just deep tunnel at fights. It allows your body to soak EXP, the Monstrosity to push and heal when minions die around it, and you can top hat your party. You just need to babysit for a bit to ramp it up. At Max stats it can 1v1 most heroes before I stopped playing

I just got a friend into HOTS. And I always point to pallytime videos. All those characters? It is a lot to sift through to find one that fits. This is why I love the A-Z playlist. Helps people find their groove in the game quicker.

I started playing Hots in the Alpha and one day UA-cam linked me one of your videos, I don't remember the character it was about, but I liked it so much that it make me stay here. For all the years. You forgot an important thing - when you’re about to win, you got to tunnel in to slap the core.
When i was a new player, you're videos really helped me. This became one of my favorite games.

Yay it's back! And I'm back to playing your builds through the A-Z too. I was gonna do a practice match first but I had a Xul and Illidan on my team on a 3 lane map so I figured this was gonna be an easy game for me and it was. 1-0 now following your build but no MVP for me this time.
bin watching this series since the beginning luv it man :D, btw if u take the global mines I remember you could do some funny harassing at the tier 2 structures with putting the mine down someplace hidden burrow over there from the other side of the map, put out all your locust and if ur confident just sit down there chilling with your tophat out on your team while a army of locust freez up the lane and deletes the structures :D

I don't know if I commented when the video was new, but I decided to go back and rewatch these.
Trait build/split push is so much fun, especially when you can sneak behind a wall, and destroy the fort without even having your minions up there. But at 4, you're MUCH better off with the extra mines. If you're not baby sitting someone with hat build the attack speed is negligible, while more mines can give more vision/more siege. Sadly, in QM, I usually find myself as the only "support" and often go hat build to keep the team alive.
I find, with hat build, the W talent at 1 is better in the long run. As you get more aoe damage in everything you do, then at 13 you get the heal for heroes hit, and you can make a tank invincible. Still take the mines at 4 though, unless you have an illidan or butcher, or someone who really benefits from the attack speed. With the W cooldown and heal, I find I can usually outheal and out damage a mirror match, and usually keep up with xp contribution.

So I've never seen HoTS and I suck at Moba games but I love seeing all the differences between them. The fact that there's a hero that literally sits on the complete opposite side of the map allowing the player to play it like an RTS is absolutely insane. Gonna binge this series just to see what else is in this game.

I flippin love Abathur. He's my highest lvl character. Healing shield build is my favorite. If we have a healer then I love going mines. Nothing better than tripping everyone up as they try to hide in bushes.

Man I'm always impressed Pally. I really thought the game was lost around 18:20 when they had boss on core and you kept slinking further and further down bottom lane. But you were absolutely right, you and the team managed to hold off their push then had this big counter push wave. Just great plays and a wonderful start to THE FAREWELL TOUR!!!

I just wanted to say your an awesome dude Pally. I dropped out of the game and off watching you after the exp globe changes ruined abathur imho, my favorite from the days of alpha. I had a bad car accident in 2016, and watching you and a few others helped me quite a lot to cope while I learned to walk again. Just wanted to say thanks, and even if I don't watch, I appreciate the hell out of you and what you do. I just don't much care for the games your playing now, but plz don't let that stop you. Sadly activision let heroes die imho, and you gotta live with the times. I may check in from time to time, but if I dont, never forget that you have helped people and done many fine works.

I was in tears watching the video of you talking about HotS. I still love the content you give us of this game. But now that this is your final series on the game, I don’t know what I’m gonna do after this. I feel so lost on the inside.
its almost always worth it to go mule i think since the shield aoe dosent shield the locus except on certain maps where the obj KOs a fort easily, blackheart bay, towers of doom, sky temple.
fun fact: aba's locus use to be able to do dmg outside of the range of towers... was OP as hell,
To this day I think there was a silent nerf to abas bombs, when you go bombs and the 75% extra dmg applied as poison is already on a hero and they hit another bomb the 75% is just refreshed not applied anymore.. I almost exclusively played aba back in the day because my laptop could barely handle the game, so I played aba where the game is more about map awareness than skill shots.

Pally is in fantastic shape. I'm calling that he will start to deteriorate rapidly after 20 heroes but damn, I wish him so much strength. He's so positive in this one and I love his enthusiasm.
