FFS is here to stay. In professional bass fishing, it needs to have limits, but it's here to stay.
As many of you who are close to me know, I've had Live Sonar on my kayak since 2019. That was before it was common, before it was cool and then it took off. I have previously used Garmin Panoptix/Livescope which was what I installed in 2019. I've played with Lowrance Active Target and didn't like it. MEGA Live was a little foreign to me but I have to admit, after using it, I can't tell a difference between it and my LVS-32 transducer I was using with my Garmin set up. For me, having the ability to see MEGA 360 Imaging is far more important than anything else, especially on a kayak. The reason why I opted for the Humminbirds (Solix 10) is because I did not want to run two graphs. My boat is a river boat, things won't always stay on it, sometimes I'll go bare bones. MEGA Live and MEGA 360 both can be easily removed unlike my LVS-32 and GLS-10 module.

So you are able to have more than 1 transducer plugged into the solix unit? The 360 and live transducer.
@@riverrat92 yes! the MEGA Live uses the Ethernet port and the MEGA 360 uses the transducer port. I'm not running any other Transducers other than those two. I can run my 360 is MEGA SI and I'll use MEGA Live for down imaging if I ever need it.
Yeah I have the Lowrance, it's tricky. Try scout mode, I was using it in the eddies, Thursday I could see a big log where fish were under. Couple of things though, the mount that comes with the Lowerance sucks. Fish Obsessed makes the best mount for it. Just have to think of the beam cone that it shoots out. The lowrance shoots a beam about 60 by 18 degrees. I believe in 4 ft of water you don't want to be on forward mode. You want to maximize your beam. So you want the top of the beam to be shooting horizontal to the surface. i need my transducer 9 degrees from level. Scout mode you should be able to see the whole water column in the shallow water and see way farther right and left. I have more testing but I like it so far.
I've used both brands in both modes. Garmin more extensively than Lowrance. With MEGA 360, I won't need landscape mode.

Probably not, this was a special request item from me.
