It's not my favourite episode, but I really like the time when Knuckles wins a lamp, and then he realizes that he doesn't have where to put it because he doesn't have a house, so he tries to get a house just to get a place for his lamp.
I need to find a way to watch all the other seasons somehow. And doesn't this mean that knuckles is homeless?🤔 But actually I think that's a pretty normal thing in Sonics world.

"Lowkey has a crush on Sonic"
This series has the most tame Amy
Compared to the rest where she'd always bet to marry sonic if he won a race.
Tamy
If anything, there were hints of the fact that Sonic actually feels the same way about Amy (although tries to hide it even from Amy)

Yeah tbh the two of them were straight vibing in this show, and I was here for it.
I mean hell, there was one scene where they were having a picnic together. They both keep it pretty low-key.
not really considering what came after it lol
Amy’s growth on sonic boom is actually amazing. I really enjoy her new “personality” since is not only all about sonic and stuff
Not only that, but it's not the biggest change in the world, when the fans try to "fix" her, they just make her a tomboy, but on the series she's just more mature which is perfectly natural as they're a bit older
@Kian did you watch the same way as we did?
@Kian i definitely agree, people often dont realize how independent amy really is in the canon series, because she isnt generally portrayed very well in the games (except for sonic adventure and a few others), but imo in other media i think its pretty clear that theres a lot more to her than her crush on sonic. i personally like her in sonic boom as well, but i can definitely see what you mean.
Yes and occasionally they'll bring up her crush on him, and it seems normal and healthy. Plus she's just funny and keeps her feminine side. I love love sonic boom Amy, I like original Amy too just her obsession with sonic makes me uncomfortable 💀
@Kian nah she was annoying in sa1

My favorite part is when Sonic and friends were trying to put an Ikea bookshelf together, although my least favorite part is Shadow showing up and being angry at sonic for no reason.
IDK man as much as I hate how they butchered Shadow's character, moments like when he says "Your shoddy craftsmanship brings shame to all hedgehog kind, and for that you shall perish" followed by him beating the shit out of Sonic are hilarious
@@evdestroy4121 I agree
I never minded how they changed the characters in Boom just to make fun of them, because it's an alternate universe
But honestly, some of the writing of this show is better than the game series, I mean, Boom Tails is very independent, while in recent main games, Tails asks for Sonic help even against a fake Chaos 0
While I agree that I like Shadow’s character in the main series- being a quiet tactician with a few friends he cares deeply about- him being a moody teen with unresolved issues also fits with the more carefree style of the Boom series. I wish that he got more chances for character growth, but I’m not angry by what we got.
@@evdestroy4121 I found that absolutely priceless 😂
Right?
I still love that out of all things, Eggman showing Shadow a poorly edited video of Sonic supposedly insulting the Edgehog was enough for him to get out of his cave and fight Sonic.

Boom writes an older Sonic. This brings out Roger's voice perfectly. The voice direction is wonderful in this environment.
When you think about it the Sonic Boom cartoon, is exactly what Teen Titans Go should have been. It has plots that can be silly, and has jokes. But TTG's episode plots aren't really a plot, but more of just an entire episode based on a single joke that they repeat constantly throughout the entire episode. Also TTG generally just forces everything much more than Boom does.
TTG didn't have to be a continuation of the previous Teen Titans cartoon, but they could have made it an actual show, with actual humor, not just "lol random" jokes constantly. Comedy works much better when you get a break from jokes, not when it's constant (or at least have some buildup to the joke, like comedians do, not just make funny sounds as the entire joke constantly for example).

Sonic Boom is my favorite Sonic show for all the reasons you listed. I don't have any top favorites, because there's too many to choose from, but the one when Sonic and Eggman swap bodies gets me every time. I love the subtle change in Roger's Sonic voice while playing Eggman. Admittedly, I do really like Rise of Lyric. It gave us all four main cast rather than just focus on Sonic.
Also glad Roger's still voicing Sonic. ^_^
"Sticks is an original character made specifically for Sonic Boom".
Ian Flynn decided to change that.
This show did a great job with each character, handling their core characteristics brilliantly that makes them easily distinguishable from one another. My favorite of Team Sonic had to be Sticks with her paranoid ramblings about the government, and in general just the way her lifestyle was lead to some real funny moments.
Eggman’s also a great character as well, and has lines he won’t cross which leads to him being a likable antagonist. An example of his likability being the time Team Sonic tried to help Tails hook up with his Crush Zoey, but it all came down to Eggman using the bro code telling him to just be himself, and it worked for tails in the end who had a successful relationship which was never continued on screen unfortunately, but still had occasional references.
It’s a shame this show never got a third season, it’s writing quality is what younger audiences should be exposed to instead of trash like Teen Titans go which actively insults itself knowing how bad it is, but refusing to try harder with its writing. Unlike Sonic boom which makes an effort to make even the simplest premise exciting for the viewer.
Sonic Boom was genuinely a great show in my opinion, and it’s a shame it never got another season.
@Kian Shadow got like 1 episode, you expect them to fit 2 character arcs in 11 minutes? Tails was ALWAYS just smart, but now he's braver. I agree with Knuckles. That sucked arse. Sonic's cockiness was ALWAYS EGOTISM.
@Kian That doesn't mean he hates attention. If he says it in a hating way, like he's annoyed, then sure, but then, but he genuinely could just be flattered. Egotism does not mean you're better than everyone else. It means you're EXTREMELY confident. A.K.A. arrogant, like Game Sonic. Boom and Game are meant to be different; alternate realities. More a comedy showing the bad sides of Team Sonic. They all have flaws, but in this show this flaw turns out to become a core part in someone's personality. The opposite of Eggman. He's actually likeable for once. Slight bravery? The man's still a normal kid. He has social problems and in the Zoe episode we saw that he was desperate, and very relatable. He seems like the standard child, and that's what people want, because he may be a nerd, but that doesn't make him any less younger. Shadow didn't need to be in character; they're seperate entities, completely different.
@Kian Shadow IS now edgy in the games. He used to have meaning, but now he's an edgelord. They got that right. And, with Amy? Yeah, she was made to like girly things, but she also has another said. As said, she's a control freak, mean, and a perfectionist. Not the opposite of a girl, but CERTAINLY not even close. It's the kind of cliche that's SUPPOSED to stray from the Game Amy. How are you whining about alternate characters not being like their mainline? Introverted? He's lowkey edgy, I don't know what you mean. He's bad at social interactions, but that doesn't make him introverted. He has reasons for keeping to himself. I agree with the Knuckles bit. This was Boom portraying a BAD TRAIT of BOOM Sonic. Sonic and Boom are both cocky, and Mainline is only slightly less egotistical.
@Kian You SatAM? That's completely non canon. Sonic. Is. ARROGANT. He's confident in himself. He puts himself at a very high ranking. He knows he's better than most , but he doesn't say it, since he is a hero. It's his whole thing.
@Kian You're not giving research nor proof. Just stating your opinion. Please be specifc.

@@BladeDevil "despite how bad Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is an action-adventure platform video game developed by Big Red Button and published by Sega for the Wii U.[1] Along with Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for the Nintendo 3DS, the game is a spin-off of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog series and is a part of the Sonic Boom franchise, which also consists of an animated television series (whose games serve as a prequel), a comic series by Archie Comics, and a toyline by Tomy.[2][3] The game explores on Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy, who must stop Lyric the Last Ancient to acquire the Chaos Crystals, after Sonic accidentally awakens him for one thousand years ago by escaping Doctor Eggman, before they power up a robot army and wipe out organic life.
The two games together formed the third and final part in Sega's exclusivity agreement with Nintendo, following Sonic Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games in 2013. Both games were released in North America, Europe and Australia in November 2014.[4][5]
Rise of Lyric received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics for its controls, camera system, combat, story, dialogue, and numerous bugs and technical issues; many deemed the game as one of the worst in the Sonic franchise.[6] The game was also a commercial failure, with the combined sales of Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal totaling 620,000 copies by March 31, 2015.[7]
Rise of Lyric is an action-adventure game with a stronger emphasis on exploration and combat compared to previous Sonic the Hedgehog installments, featuring four main characters whom players control: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. Each character has their own unique abilities and gameplay mechanics: Sonic can use his speed and homing attacks, Tails can fly and use various gadgets, Knuckles can burrow underground and climb on walls, and Amy can use her hammer to swing on poles. Each character also possesses a whip-like weapon called the Enerbeam, which allows them to perform various actions such as hanging from speeding rails, removing enemy shields, and solving puzzles. There is also a focus on collaboration, with players switching control between multiple characters and using their abilities to progress. The game will support local co-operative multiplayer for two players, with additional modes for up to four players locally.[8][9][10][11]
Rise of Lyric is divided into at least three main gameplay styles: speedy platforming stages akin to main-series Sonic games like Sonic Generations, exploration stages, and boss battles.
Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy pursue Doctor Eggman until they encounter an ancient tomb with carvings of Sonic and Tails on the entrance. Sonic is stopped twice by Amy from opening the door, but when Metal Sonic ambushes the group, Sonic opens the door and the group escape. Inside, they encounter an imprisoned, but powerful snake villain named Lyric the Last Ancient.[13] Lyric recognises Sonic from events transpiring one thousand years ago and captures the group, but Tails deactivates the shackles and turns them into beams named Enerbeams for the group to use.
After meeting Cliff, the group discovers that Lyric planned to power an army of war robots with the Chaos Crystals to create a world of twisted metal and robots, but was imprisoned by The Ancients when they discovered the plan; the group then set out to retrieve the Chaos Crystals before Lyric. At an abandoned research facility, they meet MAIA, a robot who rebelled against Lyric, who assists them by creating a portal, allowing Sonic and Tails to go one thousand years back in time to retrieve a map showing the location of the Chaos Crystals. Sonic and Tails are then attacked by Shadow, but defeat him, enter the portal, successfully retrieve the map from inside Lyric's weapon facility and trap him inside for future imprisonment by The Ancients.
Lyric reluctantly forms an alliance with Eggman, but after no success, Lyric turns on Eggman by programming Metal Sonic against him. The group defeat Metal Sonic and Eggman and retrieve the final Chaos Crystal, but Sonic is then surrounded by Lyric and his robots. Lyric demands the Crystals; Sonic refuses to give them up, but Tails, Knuckles and Amy agree to do so. Sonic is then attacked by Lyric's robots and buried under rubble, but recovers and the group set out to Lyric's lair to stop him. During the battle, Lyric reprogrammes the Enerbeams to ensnare the group, but before he can take advantage of the situation, Eggman ambushes Lyric from behind, freeing the group. Sonic then ties up Lyric with assistance from his friends and removes Lyric's technopathy device to incapacitate him; Knuckles discards it. The group celebrate, but Eggman recovers the device and uses it to revive Metal Sonic.
On May 17, 2013, Sega announced a worldwide agreement with Nintendo for the next three games in Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog series to be developed exclusively for Nintendo consoles.[14] This included Sonic Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.[15] On February 6, 2014, Sega announced Sonic Boom as the title for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The game ties in with Sega's Sonic Boom franchise, which includes a television series and other merchandise, and is the third release in Sega's exclusivity agreement with Nintendo.[16] The franchise was designed for Western audiences[17] and serves as a prequel to the television series. Sega announced the game would feature Sonic's traditional speed alongside a new exploratory game mechanic called "Enerbeam". Sega of America's marketing director Marchello Churchill explained that the new franchise was not designed to "replace modern Sonic".[16] The Western developer's CEO explained that Sonic Boom's Sonic is "very different ... both in tone and art direction".[16] Nintendo Life reported it had a working title of Sonic Synergy.[18]
Los Angeles based game studio Big Red Button developed the game under supervision by Sonic Team[16] and long-time Sonic game designer Takashi Iizuka.[17] The game was built on CryEngine and is centered on "combat and exploration".[16] Sega outsourced the game to Western developers in order to increase the game's appeal in Western markets, culminating in a separate westernized Sonic franchise.[17] The video game concept came after the television series plan. Big Red Button was chosen due to the studio's adventure game portfolio and leader, Bob Rafei of the Crash Bandicoot, Uncharted, and Jak and Daxter series.[17] Portions of the game were co-developed by IllFonic, who assisted with some of the game's level design, art assets, and code.[19] The game remains a separate continuity to the main series, and was originally not intended to be released in Japan.[20] However, it was later revealed that the games would be released in Japan, under the name Sonic Toon (ソニックトゥーン, Sonikku Tūn).[21]
British composer Richard Jacques composed the music. Jacques was selected for his experience with Sonic games including Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic R, and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.[22] is, the show itself is amazing and hilarious, I loved it"

@@Justin-ul7fh ok, you copy-paste the wiki, funny joke, I guess?

5:41 that W h y is so realistic
This series legit made me into a Sonic fan years ago, I loved adventure 1/2 as a kid but this truly made me into a fan.
It's sad that the mainstream Tails isn't "self-sufficient in battle" anymore.
He used to be quite capable before.
EXACTLY, looking at you, sonic adventure era.
@@Minchboo Why? If you don't count Sonic 06, Tails was fine.
@@Rudoku1
Oh no! Tails from the Sonic Adventure era is actually one of my favourites. :)
I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe Rodger didn’t get very good voice direction in the main games. He’s an utter gem here, which proves that he definitely has the chops for it.
Also, not sure which episode is my fave, but I really like the fanboy tapir episode and the one where Eggman takes Sonic to court.
6:28 Knuckles had me dead 💀💀
knuckles be spittin facts into sonic's face
Sonic The Hedgehog Genysis
Sonic:Let's feed it a chilly dog
Tails:I think it's a bit too young
Sonic:well put it in the blender
Knuckles: ok
THE CHILI DOG NOT THE BABY-
1:40 Nah, I still believe the Boom Tails is the real Tails from Sonic Adventure 2 and the one in Lost World and Forces is just a cowardly imposter. I mean in Adventure 1, he fights Chaos 4, but in Forces, he shat himself at Chaos 0. No, Tails just took a break and traveled to a parallel universe and instead his cousin or something is now there
I was thinking almost the exact same theme
I know you said "episode", singular, but I _really_ enjoyed the "Robots from the Sky" four-parter, since it was a huge, fun adventure, the likes of which we hadn't gotten in the show before. I also enjoyed the "Eggman: The Video Game" two-part series finale, since it had some of the best action sequences in the series. "Mech Suits Me" is another one of my favorites, because Sonic's Mech Suit is just cool like that.
Also, I agree with you. This show was great (in terms of humor, at the very least), and I anticipated every single episode, despite the garbage treatment it got by Cartoon Network. I'm telling you, it deserved a third season, _at least._ I really liked that there was a bit more continuity in season two, and I would have liked to see the stuff introduced in that season carry over. It would certainly have made for interesting new scenarios.
Maybe it _would_ have happened if this sub-franchise had had a better start. _Rise of Lyric_ 's sorry state was most likely what led to _Boom_ 's slow demise, and the show was dragged down with everything else.
Robots in the sky?!? That reminds me of that dream I had once, where there were robots, in the sky!
@@josiahgoodman8875 Tell it to us in excruciating detail, Josiah.
@@Shard_Soldier Well, it was a whole dream-BYE!
@@Shard_Soldier Uh so there was a robot in it, but instead of being in the sky he was in the ice.
Obviously
Eggman's anti gravity Ray
It has an entire scene of Knuckles being a feminist and I think half the episode is Eggman making himself fries while cubot is slowly beating Sonic and his friends
Cubot didn’t beat them.
@@supersonicfan7514 he almost did. He at least defeated half of team sonic
@@cryerboys4849 But then Sonic and Tails beat HIM.
You left out the best part, Knuckles is not only a feminist in that scene, he is criticizing Amy on the flaws in her own attempts to be feminist.
I think my favorite episode is when Eggman tried to turn Sonic into another Eggman. I died laughing when I saw Eggman literally performing the spin-dash at the end.
Favourite episode gotta be the one where Eggman fights Sonic underwater, but Sonic is too much of a coward to fight him, so they have a whole guy hired to make him learn how to swim
I love Dr Robornik in this show. I like how he helped Tails with Zoey. That was just extremely wholesome!
im a little late but my favorite episode is hands down ''Vector Detector''
not only does it have my favorite character(vector), but it the dynamic of sonic and vector really bounce off each other very well!!
Remind me in 3 months to come back so I can be later
Wait... Vector was in an episode?
@@RatTheExister_fr
Yes, and he's also get a redesing

My favourite episode is probably the one with Knuckles from an alternate dimension. Travis Willingham really knows how to differentiate himself from himself.
My favorite episodes are "Cowbot", "Give Bees a Chance", "Lair on Lockdown", "Mister Eggman", "Three Minutes or Less", "The Meteor", "Two Good to Be True", and "Battle of the Boy Bands"
Those were all good. I love “Three minutes or less” and “Battle of the boy bands”.
Thats alot of episodes, but that proves that its a good series
When I was like 8 years old I LOVED this show. Me and my family would watch it every day.
I'm 13 years old now and I still love it, makes me crack up every time I see an episode.
3:09 Most of you will already know this, but just in case someone is new, after announcing that he was stepping down, it was put out a few months later that Roger will be reprising Sonic, and he is still the current Sonic voice actor. Hope this clears up some confusion 😊
This show was a masterpiece that's all that needs to be said
Yes it was. I wish there was a third season.
I wish they made a season 3 and Silver, Rouge, Cream and Blaze appeared
The Shadow line that you used for this video @ 10:36 feels so strongly like a jab at Vegeta and I love it! This show is awesome!
My favorite Sonic Boom episode is Unlucky Knuckles.
"No hedgehogs were harmed in the making of this video."
...They were all harmed _after_ the video was created!
I love how Knuckles isn't as grumpy as the original cuz he has no Master Emerald to protect and constantly getting stolen. I want to hug that lovable moron.
I guess this show was ahead of its time. It wasn't ready to be appreciated when it came out, but now people seem to love its ingenious comedy. Hopefully it'll affect the Sonic franchise in the future and maybe even get continued someday.
I like the episode where everyone dismisses Sticks' insane claim that there are evil frog monsters living underneath her house plotting to take over the world and that's why she can't clean her out basement for a yard sale, only to find that there ARE in fact evil frog monsters living underneath her house and they need to bring all her junk back so they can barricade the hole in her basement.
i'd have to say that my favourite episode is also the one where sonic gets kidnapped by his crazy fan. i love the comedy and it feels like a well needed jab at the ACTUAL crazy fans!
7:18 i genuinely don’t know… i love just about all of them. the one where sonic, tails, and knuckles go on a road trip (and amy and sticks’ perspective after that) is amazing, but i also love the ones with shadow (aka the end episodes of both seasons, lol)
and the one where knuckles and sonic ruin amy’s couch while she’s away and try to get one back was hilarious, especially for the line “if you fight my robot, we’ll be disqualified, and you’ll never win that couch for that whiny little girlfriend of yours.”
“SHE’S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND.” (and then the little “wrong” thing immediately afterwards was the cherry on top 😆)
and then there’s the one where they’re all huddled in amy’s house and take over certain spots…
i dunno, there’s a lot, you get it.
They title should read "So, I've Done Myself a Massive Service and Finally Watched Sonic Boom".
I honestly love the episodes where sonic and shadow duke it out.
5:12 They predicted the future, "I'm the mascot of an evil corporation"
Yes people are finally giving sonic boom (the show) the love it deserves!
Episodes like “just a guy” and “designated heroes” do NOT deserve love.
@@supersonicfan7514 why not
@@supersonicfan7514 people have taste lol
It’s always funny watching videos like this post Frontiers, glad Roger is here to stay! My favorite episode has to be when Dave is trying to prove he’s a super villain and captures Eggman, with the roommate one being right behind it. Great video, glad this show is getting the praise it deserves!!!
Sticks being an OC aged like milk for better or worse has yet to be seen.
My favourite episode was probably "Translate this - Season 1 Episode 3"
Sure it was season 1, but I really liked it because they argued quite a bit, showing a more realistic friendship that friends do indeed argue from time to time.
I also really like the SonAmy moments they added into that episode alone, I'm a SonAmy fan and those scenes really made me fangirl (I don't fangirl often tbh)
I don’t like that episode. I think it shows some of them being the OPPOSITE of friends. When the fake UT tells Amy that Sonic insulted her and Sonic said that wasn’t true, SHE didn’t trust him. And then when she sees Sonic WAS telling the truth, she doesn’t even apologize. Jerk.
@@supersonicfan7514 Yeah that was pure abuse right there to the homie Sonic.
@@selassieaspen9940 yup.
Season 1 is better than season 2, prove me wrong.

4:20 Careful. Sonic got in trouble for saying something similar in BOOM.
I'm glad you gave the show a shot. I think it's the best of the Sonic cartoons produced so far, for the reasons you talked about in this video.
My favorite episode is actually one of the earliest ones - Eggheads. The ridiculous hammy villainy of the turned heroes, Eggman's attempts to teach them, and how everything unravels at the end really made me fall in love with it.
Ok I know I'm late to this but my favorite Sonic Boom Episode is where everyone get hypnotized by their TV and Sticks have to save the day
There's something that makes me look very new to the fandom. When someone asks me, "Who's your favourite character?" and I say Sticks, and they have absolutely no idea who she is.
7:19 I think it's "Dude, Where's My Eggman?". It was my first ever Sonic Boom episode. My favorite part is when Knuckles is telling Orbot and Cubot about their most recent scuffle with Eggman. In the daydream, Sonic says "Oh no! I guess we have no other choice but to give up!" and runs off, but real life Sonic interrupts it and says "Hey, that's not how it-" and Knuckles shushes him
Oh man I miss roger, I have so many favourite episodes in Sonic Boom, like Eggman the video game pt 2, victory, blackout and more!
My favorite episode is when Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles go on a road trip to see a concert while sticks and Amy stay behind and have a girls weekend. There is actually two episodes, one for each of their perspectives, but I really like the road-trip perspective because they go off trail and get stranded in the woods in their awful quality truck, and then this creepy guy gets in their truck and it’s hilarious. They also end up going to jail because knuckles speeds and they call Amy for help but she doesn’t help them lol good timed
My favorite Sonic Boom episode is "In the Midnight Hour" because it takes inspiration from punk rock culture and amplifies it up to eleven. Sticks even namedrops Rage against the Machine.
my favorite episode is 'anything I can do you can do worser' when tails tries to capture sonic in a bet.
