David Donze I never got he impression that he was hamming it up . His performance was thrilling to watch . Or say he made his performance interesting to watch as to listen to
Perfect compared to what? This is far from perfection... Far ahead! I could listen to this thousands times in a row, his performances give me power of life.
Come on, this rendition is just perfect. Vengerov is a bit too self-spectating artist compared to the great Russian violin school of the XX-th century. Mr.Stadler is a bright representative of this abundance. As he once said, there are not too many great violins in the world, but there remain fewer and fewer artists deserving to play these instruments. Vengerov is very good though, but he's just another story to me - moving, mesmerising, but somehow devastating. True artistry is not mere enchanting but rather inspiration by the Holy Spirit provided via the artist. Very few violinists have this gift, and Mr.Stadler surely does. Maybe you are just unable to perceive it, but can digest only soulful representation of music art.
Sky is the limit...Or is it??? Phenomenal rendition...wow..-this guy definitely takes no prisoners !!!
Many thanks for this unique upload !!))

The weakest Tchaikovsky competition in 1982 boring Stadler and the most boring Peter Donohoe won the first prize!!

You have raison.....the taste it's wonderful but i prefer a time more slow ...but this Is my personal think....thanks a lot Irina for your answer....🙏
Sure it is a matter of "like-do not like"; many can play slow but not many can play fast - like Gorowitz e.g.

Un po' troppo frenetico per i miei gusti questo terzo movimento.....Max Vengerov lo trovo più leggiadro
this artist has perfect taste, believe me, and what his interpretation does - it makes you excited: the melody invokes excitement
