Definitely Chris, I agree, I reckon that's what I'm trying to replicate in my own collection, mannequins with ill fitting wigs, smell of damp, gaffa tape use to keep stuff together, and of course using replica stuff as a stand in!🤣🤣🤣
Lots of info about that bird (D-IFSB) on the internet. It is a De Havilland DH104 Dove 6. Looks like the damp climate isn't doing any of these birds any favors at all - wonder why they're kept out in the open like that. Shame to see these vintage 'planes slowly being destroyed by the elements.
Cheers Al, I will look that one up....I think the 'museum' is very small voluntary thing , I've read online they do work on the planes, buy its probably a storage issue. On reflection I think the navy one might be a 'sea vixen'....unsure....the place had a nice restaurant that was licensed and packed out, we had a meal in there , very nice....its good to find little places like this in the local area 🙂🙃🙃🙂
Nice to have something like that on your doorstep
Those are some nice looking planes! Thanks for sharing!

Cheers James yeh it's a nice little place, good food too 🙂😀
Thanks for the quick tour Stan i like the smaller museums they have a nice atmosphere and you tend to have the place to yourself
