Thanks for the comment Al, yes I am cynical and world weary...well at times I am. I suppose these types of books and the associated publications you mention had a hope for a better future for us all, unfortunately I don't think it's worked out like that. As for cyclists I would step aside for you m8 🤣🤣🤣....the problem in my mind is that there is only a half arsed attempt at cycling lanes etc.....cycle on the road and literally risk death at certain junction, cycle on the footpath, yes you are breaking the law and inconsiderate cyclists are a#seholes, I agree, I always give pedestrians a wide berth on these occasions, but I've even been swore at whilst cycling down a very wide mixed purpose laneway , with signs stating bikes and people use!.......I can't win , but I will keep doing it, lycra and all!🤣🤣🤣

Cheers jimbers, yeh graveyards are very peaceful places full of history, cremation seems to be more of the 'thing' nowadays...I didn't realise the thoughts about cancer years ago....I reckon when we go we just have to think we did the best we could....your grandfather survived the Somme....bloody good on him 🙂🙂🙂

Cheers I honestly don't know, regarding no photographic proof of things....I suppose it depends on what it is, I'd tend to agree that if a helmet decal hasn't been photographed then I'd think it didn't exist....the war relics forum is a great place for this sort of thing. Regarding photos I have 'somewhere ' of a german soldier in stalingrad, its a colour photo and he has got a red checked shirt on!....never seen an image like it before or since.......cheers m8 and all the best to you 🙂🙃🙂

Cheers Steve m8, yes you are right , we've all been 'analysed' , I suppose its a shot across the bows and in future I will be extra careful in how I put things across and what I show. Regarding the ww2 german 'symbol' and I'm aware its illegal now in Australia under most circumstances, if its shown or displayed in the correct context, historical or educational purposes then I don't have a problem .....it is part of history....if its being used to promote a modern version of that movement then that is a problem and something that I certainly would give a bloody wide berth to.....I've no room in my life for extreme anything.....well apart from extreme binocular collecting!🤣🤣🤣....I've actually traded a couple of pairs out but I've bought 3 new pairs for Christmas......I can't help myself....videos to follow, thanks Steve m8🙂🙂🙂

Yes I understand that and the guidelines should be followed....but sometimes some common sense should prevail....OK the individual video(s) that were at fault...take them down, but not the whole channel. Vast majority are sole trader, owner operated, got absolutely battered by handgun ban...and they probebly had criminals walking into the shop with wads of cash that could choke a donkey...'how do you fancy making £20k for a couple of hours work?'. But yeah I think they've gone well overboard, the older post-1995 standard also had some rhyme and reason to it? Criminals really wanted submachine guns and 'Assault rifles', so they got the most work done to them. But what was last time you saw a K98k used in a gangland shooting.....

Hello David ....yes unfortunately 'military collectables ' channel has been deleted by YT for alleged h#te spe#ch, if you can believe it!...absolutely shocking and a shock to all military collecting fans of his channel, a bloody disgrace if you ask me. He has put an explanation video up on YT, try searching for his other channel , 'militarycollectablesotherchannel' , all one word. Failing that if you go on my last video, 'REL binoculars ' look in the comments and you will see he has commented , the symbol of his channel is a green 'M'...you should be able to find the video from that, cheers David 🙂🙂🙂

To have his channel taken away for simply describing an item or talking about historical events is disgusting. I hope he wins his appeal but if not it just shows how little common sense there is in this world.

@davidrobinson2776 I agree David, a disgrace. I know he has emailed YT , but as far as I'm aware he said the facility to appeal won't work when he's tried to do it. I've never heard the fella say anything that could even be remotely thought of as controversial, there's so much stuff online that isn't 'correct', but to single out military collectables channel is a crying shame and 100% YT's loss....the cheeky swines have even put adverts on his explanation video!!!!. Thanks for the comment, I would say also knife crime is still a big problem also.....but putting restrictions on knife sales will not stop this, as you state , criminals will get hold of whatever they want, that's why they are criminals.
