What always gets me is that sly can break into anything , but when it comes to the ballroom it’s “no way of getting in without a tuxedo” lol

Sounds like this build is basically Sly 2: Hardcore Mode.
Hitman: Slylent Assassin.
You have no idea how hard the pickpocketing missions are in this build. The final game is Baby Mode in comparison. Also, you can fail the job during the Job Complete screen, reverting all your progress. I couldn't beat the job even with Cheat Engine or the built-in debug menu.
Edit: There's a few things the video missed.
- You play as Sly in Boardroom Brawl. In the final game you play as Murray.- You can fail jobs during the Job Complete screen. An unintended side effect of this is frequent rage quits.- Vegas crashes and corrupts projects a lot, and it doesn't put its auto-saved project files in an obvious location.
LOL THE DANCING SCENE KILLS ME. definitely just put some text in there as placeholder but i'm glad the staff had fun with it.
I wish there was another build available just after this one that was this unfinished

I always wondered, while playing Sly 2, why Rajan loses his cape (or vest? idk) outside of the artwork. I guess its because they couldnt get the physics to look right when he moved around.

Sly 2 overall is very DARK. Playing at anything less than optimal video clarity (component cables, etc) is almost non visible
Yeah that’s why my 8 year old brain liked sly 3 more aesthetically. This game has a dark color palette
I’m surprised by how the alphas and prototypes are playable, and they don’t seem to break.
Most games nowadays are a broken mess of glitches and weren’t even play tested nor updated properly.
Not to mention, expensive, i remember getting brand new PS2 games for 25€.
Edit: the random objects being named shoes was hilarious.
So Sly not only steals clothing from his enemies for the ball dance, but also Carmelita? I'm positive he kept those gloves... so he could return them later, of course.

Seeing the extra guards and the spotlight in the key card mission, I really wish they kept that, I think it would have been more challenging. Or maybe I've just played Sly 2 too many times
I kinda like that they gave the player agency. You know you could chose to be sneaky or just knock out guards whatever fit your style
Although I would appreciate if the game has a hard mode where these guys were available
I remember watching a really old alpha clip of sly 2 where sly was in a non textured room with water and cube. There was a rat guard there with a hat like these guys . I guess the idea of lieutenants were they’re since they began
the beta name "Jean Cretin" was probably changed since it sounds *too* similar to Jean Chrétien, who was prime minister of canada at the time of the game being made (2003)
Given this fact, it may be possible that it was supposed to be a play on his name. Keep in mind that the Jean Bison missions took place in Canada

Since you seem to be in possession of a lot of developmental builds of the Sly Cooper series, do you recognize the below footage of the damage testing room?

All builds that you see in this channel are released and are publicly available. You can find all of them in hiddenpalace. This video was originally uploaded by the lead animator of Sly 3 on vimeo. So its not a build that exists in the internet. By looking at the debug menu you can tell that this was built 6 days before the final NTSC version of Sly 3.

Hi, i dont know if you possibly already have such a video uploaded - but: Would you consider making a video showing / explaining emulator settings optimized for sly, ratchet n clank, jak n daxter, crash, etc etc.? Thanks for the nostalgic videos.
Hello. I do have one but it's pretty old and it was never good to begin with. You can find lots of tutorials on Google. Just search for game specific settings because they are usually fairly different for each game
@@GouStoulos Alright, thanks! One more question - How did you get your games to PC? I own the sly trilogy for PS3 aswell as Thieves in time but I dont know how to get the emulator to register the CD's. Do I have to get the gamefiles off of the CD's first?
@@creativename2697 You need to make an iso image of the disc. Use imgburn which is pretty user friendly. Just get the disc in, launch imgburn and select create image from disc. The just drag and drop the iso on pcsx2

Gou who you patch a iso of sly cooper for run on a ps2 disc?
I m not sure what you mean. You need a modded ps2 to run this
@@GouStoulos I have one modded PS2 but when i put the disc and star the game appear a black screen.
What i needed is a file to remove anti piratery security but the pnach file only works on the PS2 emulator.
For what i reserched i need a ppf file to Patch the ISO and burn on the disc to Run on the PS2 to remove the security but i dont know who to do the file.
And One more thing i see this on obescure games when you released the prototypes of sly 1 and sly 3 but not on the hidden palace.
You need to use the patched iso. I m pretty sure that the zip from hiddenpalace has both patched and unpatched isos. So just use the patched one.
Both of those builds are in hiddenpalace actually. Just search for them and you'll find them

The changes to Rajans boss fight shows why you can knock him out and pick up when you throw one of his guards into him. Because he was supposed to be throwable instead of it beeing a straight fist fight.
