Knowing bird sounds you can find lot more birds. I think I do like 80-90 percent of my birding by ear. Also, it's much easier to track down the bird. Great birding vlog. Following your videos now. Thanks 👍😊
Thanks you Thomas! I tried to keep count about how many species I record only by sound/call. It varied a lot depending on season and especially habitat. In wetlands I averaged at 60% of species only heard or identified with the help of sound. It should be more in forest habitats.
