I'm actually happy they made the cap opaque. I have the 580ALR Prussian Blue and the inner part of the cap has a smokey look which looks "dirty". They should stick with this design or make the inner part clear plastic like the rest of the cap

Very true! The inside of the caps do get stained and are really hard to clean!

Does the white stain easily? If so, how do you get as much off as possible without harming the pen?

It doesn't stain too easily actually and in our experience, a little bit of water or a paper towel dipped in some soapy water does wonders!

It shouldn't, but we haven't been able to observe ours for more than two years or so either!
